• Core Data and iTunes File Sharing - Move/hide the .sqlite file on app update?

  I have an iPad app that uses Core Data for data storage. I would like to enable file sharing in iTunes and I don't really want the users to be able to delete or modify the .sqlite file. Can I move the file to a different, hidden directory? Alternatively, could the file be made read-only? I wouldn't mind users having access to the file as long as it couldn't be changed. I suspect there is a trivial solution that is escaping me at the moment.

• Loading an XML file with todays date in the filename... need to fallback to old file if one with tod

  So here is my question. Using javascript/jQuery I am currently loading in an XML file that has a file name such as carousel_large_2010-06-08.xml.. the way I am doing it is checked for todays date then grabbing a file that has that date in the filename... the issue is sometimes they wont be uploading a new file for a given day so it needs to fallback to a older date that exists.. Wondering how to do it? • How do I run an XSLT file?

  Alright this seems like a stupid question but I can't figure it out. I'm writing an XSLT file to translate an XML document into an XHTML document. I've used both Visual Studio and XML Notepad 2007 to preview the results of my XSLT file, but now I want to actually write out a real XHTML file so I can see how it looks in other browsers. Neither Visual Studio or XML NotePad have an obvious way to save the preview. Am I missing something. Obviously the file is getting created because something is being previewed, but I need to know where that file is being created or better yet choose its location.

I have brought the contents of this file into a datagrid using dynamic table in between and using resource manager.   Hi, I have been searching for a way for resumable file upload in RoR. In conclusion, I found out other than Java Applet no client-side-and-cross-platform agent can access the file system in such a way that to request the file from the position where the upload got terminated (due to any reason) with some exceptions like http://github.com/taf2/resume-up/tree/master (built in native Ruby, but requires google gears which is not "reliable" yet when it comes to cross platform almost same story as of ActiveX!) Since the only reliable option left is java applet, is there any good tutorial/forum/documentation for those paid java applets, such as "thin slice upload" etc. to make it work with rails application. I have found one http : // github . com / dassi / mediaclue , its a non-multi-ligual-German-Application in which they used jumploader. But in that application, I am unable to see resumable functionality. Scratching my head against their documentation, i found out http : // jumploader.com / doc_resume.html It tells that jumploader has resume functionality in Cross session resume, the one i am looking for (if the user close the browser the new session gets hold on uncompleted uploaded files from the old session against the user id). But I cant find any example on their demos page which actually pause/RESUME functionality in a continuous manner! Is it even possible to achieve that kind of resumable functionality.   I need to be able to play an encrypted file in Android. The file is AAC. The only way I can see to do this is either: decrypt the file to internal private storage and point the player at that file to play, or decrypt & decode the file to pcm and feed it to an AudioTrack. 1 isn't great because it takes a long time to do that. 2 isn't great either because I don't know how I can take advantage of the HW decoder to do this. Any ideas? tia.

  I'm trying to port a wikimedia plugin to run on OpenVMS and needed to alter a class. I'm trying to update the .class file in the jar using jar uf jar-file .class-file, however when I do this I get the following: java.util.zip.ZipException: duplicate entry: META-INF/LICENSE.txt at java.util.zip.ZipOutputStream.putNextEntry(ZipOutputStream.java:175) at java.util.jar.JarOutputStream.putNextEntry(JarOutputStream.java:90) at sun.tools.jar.Main.update(Main.java:507) at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:184) It turns out there are 2 LICENSE.txt files in the jar and I can't seem to get rid of them. Any ideas on how to just get the new .class file into the jar or how to get rid of the duplicate file?

I have it set like this, getline(sin,temp) if (temp=="$$$$") { } After reading the last set of four dollars, how can I check the next line to ensure another set of data isn't beginning, and that the file has ended? If the file has indeed ended, I plan on using a boolean flag to terminate the while loop.

  I've to be continuously editing a 1MB file, simulating a file system. I've to modify the directory of File Control Blocks, FAT, blocks, etc. Proffesor recommended overwriting the file every time an update is made. 1MB shouldn't take minutes to do that, but I don't like this way. Is it a FileChannel the way to go here? Also, I understand that if I edit a MappedByteBuffer, the content of the mapped file region is also edited immediately? i.e. is reflexive mapped? Thanks.

  Hi, I am trying to read a very simple but somehow large(800Mb) csv file using the csv library in python. The delimiter is a single tab and each line consists of some numbers. Each line is a record, and I have 20681 rows in my file. I had some problems during my calculations using this file,it always stops at a certain row. I got suspicious about the number of rows in the file.I used the code below to count the number of row in this file: tfdf_Reader = csv.reader(open('v2-host_tfdf_en.txt'),delimiter=' ') c = 0 for row in tfdf_Reader: c = c + 1 print c To my surprise c is printed with the value of 61722!!!   So what I'm trying to do is write a script or CRON job (Linux- CentOS) to export the usernames listed in my wordpress database to a simple .txt file with just on username per line. So with the picture, I would like the .txt file to read like this: Sir_Fluffulus NunjaX007 (Except with all the username in the user_login column.)   I'm maintaining this Swing app that has a "print" option. Users need to be kept from interacting in any way with the underlying file system, but the print dialog offers "print to file" as one printer, and that of course allows selecting a directory and file from the file system. Is there a painless way to override/modify the print dialog to hide the "to file" printer from this dialog? I understand the API will let me do this piecemeal but I'd rather not have to re-create most of the dialog GUI and functionality to do this.

Now when user click on this link they get somesong.mp3 but I want to change it before they download. I found many scripts that made it possible but didn't get exact right script. Because I want that when the user clicks on download link the file downloading should be started just after the click with the new file name as I want to use. But in all the scripts which I downloaded, first the php processing starts for a few minute (I think it depends on the file size) and then rename it.   Our VSS database appears to be horribly out of shape. I've been trying to archive and run "analyze" and keep getting "Access to file [filename] is denied. The file may be read-only, may be in use, or you may not have permission to write to the file. Correct this problem and run analyze again." No one is logged into SourceSafe (including myself) and I'm running the analyze utility from the VS command prompt as follows: analyze -v -f -bbackuppath databasepath I get similar errors if I try and create project archives from the ssadmin tool. The database is on a network share, and we're running VSS 2005 v8.0.50727.42. I'd love to be able to do this, as it would be a first step in a move away from VSS. Thanks in advance. More Info Every time I run analyze, the file that spawns the access denied message changes. It's almost as if running analyze unlocks that file so that the next time I get through to the next one.

  We all know it - this is the reading that lists the changes brought by each new version of our favorite software. Whenever it comes bundled as a file (Changes.txt, CHANGES, WhatsNew.txt, etc) or is presented within an installer this is usually the first thing we read before installing/updating. On a current project we have a Changelog.txt file that gets updated by hand every time a notable change occurs. However this often leads to "I forgot to update the changelog". So I am looking for a way to automate this. I am thinking of a script that extracts the changes from our commit messages (using a convention) and generates the file. For example a commit message like Updated json-glib to 0.7.6 [changes] - Fix crash on Windows - Fix issues with facebook contacts with very large UIDs. Would produce the following Changes.txt Version 1.9.18 (03/10/2010) Fix crash on Windows Fix issues with facebook contacts with very large UIDs.
