What I mean is, say I wanted to search for information regarding making a notepad clone, would I search for: "Creating A Notepad Clone" "Building A Notepad Clone" "Making A Notepad Clone" So what I'm asking is basically, is there a definitive term to use, or does it vary depending on the source?

  • Jquery - Check for bad words on form submit?

    Does anybody know of a good Jquery solution to checking for swear words when a form is submitted? Basically I have a form which submits to Twitter, upon successfully passing a swear word check it will submit via ajax. I know how to do it in PHP (for non javascript enabled users), I did a foreach loop through an array of predefined bad words and checked them against what was submitted. How would I do a similar thing with Jquery? Thanks

For blogger, I know the query parameter is 'max-results' However,t here's nowhere in wordpress where they mentioned the query parameters for this. Anyone have any idea?

    The post office actually publishes a list of commonly used street suffixes in addresses: http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/abbr_suffix.txt I want to take this list and make a ruby function that takes a string, takes the last word ("183 main strt".split[' '].last) and if it matches any of the commonly used street suffixes ("strt"), replace it with the official Postal Service Standard Suffix ("st"). Is there a better way to approach this than a massive str.sub.sub.sub.sub.sub?

    In Eclipse (and Flash/Flex Builder) you get the option with Ctrl+Shift+F to do a file search and look for a regular expression. Would be a real handy thing to know. I want to find the word negate if it appears in a Flex/java comment like the following: // It was negated because or /* The negate option was.... */ or /** * We have to negate the value */ Any ideas?     I would like to get the word that a user has clicked on in a FlowDocument. I am currently adding an event handler to every Run in the document and iterating through the TextPointers in the Run that was clicked, calling GetCharacterRect() on each one and checking if the rectangle contains the point. However, when the click occurs near the end of a long Run this takes 10 seconds. Is there any more efficient method?

    I have a Windows application written in C++ that occasionally evaporates. I use the word evaporate because there is nothing left behind: no "we're sorry" message from Windows, no crash dump from the Dr. Watson facility... On the one occasion the crash occurred under the debugger, the debugger did not break---it showed the application still running. When I manually paused execution, I found that my process no longer had any threads. How can I capture the reason this process is terminating?
