  • Download HTML content that require authorization?

    I use WebClient from System.Net Namespace of Visual Studio 2008 to download the HTML content. It done well with normal website but with some 4rum that require authorization such as warez-bb.org, it always return the HTML of the login page. I wonder if there is a way to send the username and password to the WebClient?

Why this multipart/x-mixed-replace is necessary? Without this header, HTTP response can still be chunked and sent piece by piece to browser, right?

    Below is the code from a plugin for Joomla. It works on it's own and it's purpose is to detect external links on the page and force them into new browser windows using _blank. I've tried for about an hour (I don't know javascript well) but I can't seem to figure out how to get an onclick function working. End result, I want to add to this script the ability of a confirmation dialog, shown in the 2nd code section. An external link, when clicked, will pop up the confirmation dialog, and if it says yes, they will be able to get to the external URL, opening in a new window. Otherwise, it cancels, and does nothing. Every activity or Service that makes a GET or POST to this remote server calls the same method : MyUtilityClass.gettHttpClient() Do I need to worry about synchronization of this httpclient? If a developer changes a machine or gets a new user id, such properties have to be copied manually to these newer machines. Would it be possible to store user specific setting information in the repository itself (say SVN) and somehow have the mvn scripts load it on startup.

    I am using the properties view in RCP, i.e org.eclipse.ui.views.properties.PropertySheet. I want to be able to refresh the content of these properties programmatically. It seems RCP is geared towards the use case where this changes only when a selection changes. Is there any way I can fire a dummy event to get this to refresh (without having ugly UI artifacts such as visibly switching between parts) ?
