• AVPlayer seeking to a different point after app resume

  I have an AVPlayer, the video in it is ~2 seconds long. After the video plays, if the app goes to the background and reenters the foreground I need the video to still be shown exactly as it was when the app was exited. The AVPlayer sticks around just fine, however when I reenter the app from the background the video appears to be seeked to the middle of the video. However, if I just play the video, it starts from the beginning, so it doesn't seem like it actually seeked and is just showing a preview image. I've tried to auto-seek the video to the end on relaunch but nothing happens . Nothing I can figure out or find in the docs would describe this behavior. Any tips on having the video launch either at the beginning or end?

I've removed the entry for 403 in IIS (7.0) as a desperate last attempt and unsuprisingly that made no difference. I've run out of ideas now so any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated!

• Query Returning value as 0

  I am trying to execute following PL/SQL script in SQL Developer. • Objective-C categories: Can I add a property for a method not in my category?

  I want to use a category to make a method on the original class available as a property as well. • Running pl/sql in Korn Shell(AIX)

  I have a file to execute in Ksh written by someone. It has a set of commands to execute in sqlplus. It starts with, sqlplus -s $UP <<- END followed by a set of ddl commands such as create,drop,etc., When I execute the file in the shell, I get the error in the starting line quoted above. I understand "-s" starts the sqlplus in silent mode and $UP is the connection string with username/password. But I couldn't make heads or tails of "<<- END" part(Many sites from google says input redirection is "<<" not "<<-"). So I presumed the error must be in that part and removed it from the file. Now it reads, sqlplus -s $UP But once I execute the file, It waits for input from the shell, instead of reading the rest of the lines from the file. How would I make sqlplus to execute the ddl commands in the rest of the file?. Thanks in advance.

• Type mismatch in expression in Delphi 7 on SQL append

  I have a code, that checks the current date when a form is loaded, performs a simple calculation, and appends a SQL in Delphi. It works on Windows 7 with Delphi 7, and on another computer with Xp, but doesn't on 3 other computers with Xp. When the form is loaded it shows a "Type mismatch in expression", and points to the line after the append. • Ruby on Rails check box not updating on form submission

  I have an entries controller that allows users to add contact information the website. The user-submitted information isn't visible to users until the administrator checks a check box and submits the form.   Hello, If there an easy way to get a completed SQL statement back after parameter substitution? I.e., I want to keep a logfile of all the SQL this program runs. Or if I want to do this, will I just want to get rid of Parameters, and do the whole query the old school way, in one big string? • Drupal Views how to filter items overlapping a date range

  Hi, in Drupal I have used CCK to add a datetime field to my custom data type. It inserts start date and end date fields. That is what I want. Now, I want Views to filter and show only the items that have the daterange (start date and end date) overlapping today's date. Any ideas on how to set it up on Views? What I think is strange is that the date fields of my custom content type don't seem to appear on the Views list when I am trying to add a filter. Thanks.

• How do you assign a variable with the result of a if..else block?

  I had an argument with a colleague about the best way to assign a variable in an if..else block. His orignal code was : @products = if params[:category] Category.find(params[:category]).products else Product.all end I rewrote it this way : if params[:category] @products = Category.find(params[:category]).products else @products = Product.all end This could also be rewritten with a one-liner using a ternery operator (? :) but let's pretend that product assignment was longer than a 100 character and couldn't fit in one line. Which of the two is clearer to you? The first solution takes a little less space but I thought that declaring a variable and assigning it three lines after can be more error prone. I also like to see my if and else aligned, makes it easier for my brain to parse it!

  I am working on a carpool application where people can search for lifts. They should be able to select the city from which they would liked to be picked up and choose a radius which will then add the cities in range to the query. However the way it is so far is that i can only chain a bunch of "AND" conditions together where it would be right to say "WHERE start_city = city_from OR start_city = a_city_in_range OR start_city = another_city_in_range" Does anyone know how to achive this? • iPhone: Tracking/Identifying individual touches

  I have a quick question regarding tracking touches on the iPhone and I seem to not be able to come to a conclusion on this, so any suggestions / ideas are greatly appreciated: I want to be able to track and identify touches on the iphone, ie. basically every touch has a starting position and a current/moved position. Touches are stored in a std::vector and they shall be removed from the container, once they ended. Their position shall be updated once they move, but I still want to keep track of where they initially started (gesture recognition). • Open a PDF file in an external app on iPad

  I'd like to make my app to open a specified PDF by an external app of the user's choice on the iPad. How can I do that? Or, is there any open-source PDF reader framework available so that I can put it into my app? My situation in more detail: I'm thinking of porting to the iPad from OS X / rewriting from scratch for the iPad an app which manages lots of PDFs (journal articles, etc.), but I don't want to write the PDF reader part, because there are many good ones already out there; I don't want to reinvent the wheels. (You might say you shouldn't reinvent pdf management apps, but I'd like to make one as a front end to SPIRES, and there isn't one so far.) As the app would be a front end to a serious reading activity, UIWebView's pdf capability is not enough. Also, users of my app would have various preferences which app to use. • How can I await the first completed async task of a list in .Net?

  My input is a long list of files located on an Amazon S3 server. I'd like to download the metadata of the files, compute the hashes of the local files, and compare the metadata hash with the local files' hash. Currently, I use a loop to start all the metadata downloads asynchronously, then as each completes, compute MD5 on the local file if needed and compare. I think that the MD5 task was added to the end of .Net's task list and it didn't get to run until all the downloads completed. Ideally, I process the response as they arrive, not in order, and the MD5 is asynchronous but gets a chance to run.
