• System context menu Icon not transparent like WinRAR

  I added a icon at the system context menu(the popped up menu when we right mouse click on any file/foler). But the icon is not transparent(in xp its not notice able, but in vista/win7 it is clearly visible) there is a white background beneath the icon. But WinRAR or TortoiseSVN icons don't have any white background, they are transparent. I tried the following C++ code: #define BITMAP_MAIN 201 //in resource.h BITMAP_MAIN BITMAP "main.bmp" // in .rc file // showing icon in menu... HBITMAP imgMain = LoadBitmap( aHinstance, MAKEINTRESOURCE(BITMAP_MAIN) ); SetMenuItemBitmaps ( hSubmenu, uMenuIndex, MF_BYPOSITION, imgMain, imgMain); [main.bmp is 16X16] Also the icon(.bmp) is not shown fully in non-english OS.   I'm trying to include a file (/wp-load.php) at the beginning of the /html/ directory. • Uri for bitmap in subfolder (c# wpf)

  I have a wpf app where I'm using an image. To reference the image I use: Uri uri = new Uri("pack://application:,,,/assemblyName;Component/myIcon.png"); BitmapImage(uri) If I add the png directly under the csproj file (with its properties BuildAction=Resource) then it works fine. But I want to move it to a subfolder under the csproj. Another SO question asked about bitmaps\uri's (857732) and an answer linked to this msdn. So I tried : Uri uri = new Uri("pack://application:,,,/assemblyName;Component/Icons/myIcon.png"); But that did not work. Any ideas?

• Why Is my UISlider Thumb Image Being Shown Multiple Times and Not Disappearing As They Should?

  This slider is possessed: When I move the slider thumb left or right, it leaves the original image there (creating an extra image). This doesn't happen every time and the only consistency i've noticed is that it's inconsistent. When the table is in "Editing mode" it is more likely to create a duplicate thumb image, but it also does so in regular mode.   I'm attempting to use the Interactive Brokers ActiveX API, but I'm having a little trouble: error CS0012: The type 'System.Windows.Forms.AxHost' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. My code: namespace DataFeed.Gateway { class IBGateway : IGateway { private AxTWSLib.AxTws tws; //<-- the error line //... } } I have a console application, so I'm wondering if that might be the reason why ActiveX is not working... or is there something else going on here? Maybe I should add the AxTWSlib.dll to the GAC, but do I really have to? If I add the dll as a resource, then I thought that I don't need to add it to the GAC. Note: I've dropped the AxTWSlib.dll in my project folder and I've added it to the project references... no problems there.

Yeah, I know I post a lot of questions, but thats because I either need assurance that I am doing it right, what I am doing wrong, or if I am totally clueless, and cant find anything in the documentation. Anyways, I am trying to check for duplicate nodes. Here is how I would want to do it: Loop thru my nodes, and compare each single node's text (record), but if I got many nodes, wouldnt that be too time and memory consuming?   I need a way to collapse duplicate (defined in terms of a string field with an id) results in solr. I know that such a feature is comming in the next version (1.5), but I can't wait for that. What would be the best way to remove duplicates using the current stable version 1.4? Given that finding duplicates in my case is really easy (comparison of a string field), should it be a Filter, should I overwrite the existing SearchComponent or write a new Component, or use some external libraries like carrot2? The overall result count should reflect the shortened result.

Our options: Use NHibernate to support Multiple databases and use of OO. But we concern related to NHibernate learning curve and any problem we faced. Make a generalized DAL which will continue working with Oracle using stored procedures and use tools to convert it to other databases such as SQL Server or MySql. There is a risk associated with having to support multiple database-dependent versions of a single script. Provide the software as a Service (SaaS) and maintain the way we conduct business. However there can may be clients who do not want or trust the Cloud or other SaaS business models. With this in mind, what's the best Data access layer technique?

  Hi, ever since I added this htaccess to my website, I noticed a HUGE slowdown, and my error logs are filled with errors such as PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in page.php on line 79. I've got up to four of these per second. Most of the time it works though. The htaccess consisted of two similar rules: one with two GET vars, another one with only one. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)\/(.*)$ index.php?var1=$1&var2=$2 [L] Anyway, I just rewrote a PHP script that handles of all the strings and redirects where it should, and my website is now fast again. I love Vistal Studio, so I'm looking for something really close to it.   I'm moving from a PHP background into Django development via python, mostly for the sake of tackling a MVC (or MVT) that I feel makes the most sense, although in this pattern I've started to notice a lot of repeated code in my views. For example, when logged in I have information regarding the user that I would like to appear on every page, although when using render_to_response and in every view this is required I have to grab the information and pass it to the render_to_response function. I'm wondering what would be the most efficient way to cut down on the duplicate code which would in essence be required in all views in a particular app. Thanks in advance.

  I recently encountered a printing issue in Firefox that eventually turned out to be a problem with the fieldset tag we wrapped the entire page in. (Bugzilla: Bug 471015) All browsers have their own rendering quirks and issues, but it can be very hard to know what's causing different behaviors. Sure, you can Google, but that's often taking a shot in the dark about what you think is causing the problem. It also doesn't stop you from having to sort through multiple complains about the same behavior before you find someone who has the issue your looking for. Are there any websites out there that let you search for rendering behavior issues by browser version, browser function, css tag, or html tag? I've seen this SO Question, Wanted: Resource for documented Cross-Browser differences, but I'd like to find something more detailed that includes browser bugs.

• JFrame.setBackground() not working -- why?

  JFrame mainFrame = new JFrame(); mainFrame.setSize(100, 100); mainFrame.setBackground(Color.CYAN); mainFrame.setVisible(true); My intent is to create a window with a cyan background. What is wrong with this? My window doesn't get cyan, as I'd expect! Also, could anyone point out why I seem to have all the colors in duplicate (there's a Color.CYAN and a Color.cyan). Is there any difference at all between the two? Maybe the older one was a constant from before there were enums in Java and the second one is from the Enum? Thanks

  I'm trying to implement a plugable architecture in asp.net MVC. I have based my modules on the following article - http://www.wynia.org/wordpress/2008/12/aspnet-mvc-plugins. I have a DLL that contains a simple controller, and a view. The view is an embedded resource within the DLL. The problem I'm having is, if I drop the DLL in the bin directory of my MVC application manually, then everything works perfectly i.e. the assembly loads correctly. But when I copy the DLL from a file upload input box (via a web form) into the bin directoy, I get an error (The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.) when trying to load the assembly. I use the same DLL, what could the problem be?

  I have spent the last few hours attempting to do this on my own, and using Google to find a solution but to no avail. So if you can help out i would super appreciate it! Basically I have a page which has 3 separate biographies in 'preview mode', which shows only the first paragraph of each bio. When you click on 'read more' for one bio it opens up the 'full mode'. What is happening at the moment, is if i click on one 'read more' link, it opens up the full mode on all 3 bio's.   I have a problem with SonarQube. I use web API to inject manual metrics values for a project like this : curl -u nom:password -d "resource=<projet>&metric=<key de la metric>&val=<valeur>" http://localhost:8081/sonar/api/manual_measures One of these metrics is a percentage and this metric is declared as a Percentage value in Sonar in Settings = Manual Metrics window. I have a project with components and each project and components have this metric value. When I want to show this metric as a color metric in a "treemap of components" of widget, all the treemap is grey (as if values are not defined). But if I put mouse on the name of component in treemap, I saw the color metric value as a percentage value like this : myComponent - ncloc: 800 - myMetric: 84,0% Moreover, scale metric color does not appear in treemap title (after Size ncloc Color <my metric>).
