• Getting a KeyError in DB backend of django-digest

  I have just started to integrate django_digest into my app. As a start I have added the @httpdigest decorator to one of my views. If I try to connect to it I get a KeyError exception thrown in django_digest/backend/db.py . Depending on which db I configure I get a different KeyError in a different location. I am using Django 1.2.1, with MySql (also tested with sqlite). I am using the default values for all the settings options. As far as I can see I have followed all instructions but am struggling all day with this. I am using the repository versions of django-digest and python-digest. Any steer would be greatly appreciated.   I am trying to pass json encoded values from a php script to a, GnuBookTest.js, javascript file that initiates a Bookreader object and use the values i have passed in via the variable i named "result". The other browsers just do not load the Bookreader and show the "x" instead, like they did not get the values from the php script. Where is the problem?

• Different positions in ViewPager

  In my Application am using ViewPager to swipe the images,which comes through webservice as URL. Everything goes smoothly,the problem is while swiping myself getting the position as collapsed one.. Swipe left-right: positions are 1,2,3,4,5,etc.. if i stops swiping at 5th pos and started to Swipe from right-left: positions are 2,1...why this happens? I need to catch the position of the imageURL to find out the ID of the specific image and so i need to download and set it as wallpaper.. Normally while we swipe from right-left,the positions should decrease like 4,3,2,1. Also in debugger mode i got some start position,end position,last position with different values.. Any Clue about ViewPager. • What is the correct response for web service?

  One of my web services returns the list of ids of the the projects a person is owner of. That is, when I GET http://example.com/wsListProjects?user=eric I get back xml with the list of projects. However, when I specify user=xxx, who doesn't exist, I currently return a 404 response? Is this the correct response to return? Thanks.

I can't figure out how to make ruby send traffic over a specific iface(eth0 and wlan0 for example). • Want to show <embed> and <object> tags from YUI editor as a text rather then a video.

  I am using YUI rich text editor on my website (php/mysql), so that a user may enter textual matter/articles through it. But if a user copies and paste some embed code in the textarea, from any video sites like youtube, it should get saved as a text block and not as a playing video when showing the text content on the browser. Now YUI automatically converts the characters into html entities which ever is needed. Please note that if I put a new line in the yui editor (by pressing "Enter" key), it will be converted into a "<br>" tag in the background and this will not get html entity encoded when passing the value to my backend PHP script. But If I copy and paste any embed tag or for that reason any valid html tags in the textarea, it will be html entity encoded by YUI. Now to support UTF-8 characters, I am using a function (DBVarConv) in my php script before saving it into my database. The code for the function is given below function DBVarConv($var,$isEncoded = false) { if($isEncoded) return addslashes(htmlentities($var, ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8', false)); else return htmlentities ($var, ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8', false); } $myeditorData = DBVarConv($myeditorData, true); // Save $myeditorData in database. While showing the data in the browser, I am using another function called "smart_html_entity_decode". Try using the text editor at tumblr.com. If you paste an embed code in the editor, it will be shown as a text block not as a video. I am trying to build the same functionality on my website with UTF-8 support. Any help will be highly appreciated.

• Working through exercises in "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X" - I'm stumped

  I've been working through the exercises in a book recommended here on stackoverflow, however I've run into a problem and after three days of banging my head on the wall, I think I need some help. I'm working through the "Speakline" exercise where we add a TableView to the interface and the table will display the "voices" that you can choose for the text to speech aspect of the program. I am having two problems that I can't seem to get to the bottom of: I get the following error: * Illegal NSTableView data source (). Must implement numberOfRowsInTableView: and tableView:objectValueForTableColumn:row: The tableView that is supposed to display the voices comes up blank I have a feeling that both of these problems are related. • Checking if an int is prime more efficiently

  I recently was part of a small java programming competition at my school. My partner and I have just finished our first pure oop class and most of the questions were out of our league so we settled on this one (and I am paraphrasing somewhat): "given an input integer n return the next int that is prime and its reverse is also prime for example if n = 18 your program should print 31" because 31 and 13 are both prime. Your .class file would then have a test case of all the possible numbers from 1-2,000,000,000 passed to it and it had to return the correct answer within 10 seconds to be considered valid. We found a solution but with larger test cases it would take longer than 10 seconds. I am fairly certain there is a way to move the range of looping from n,..2,000,000,000 down as the likely hood of needing to loop that far when n is a low number is small, but either way we broke the loop when a number is prime under both conditions is found. At first we were looping from 2,..n no matter how large it was then i remembered the rule about only looping to the square root of n. Any suggestions on how to make my program more efficient? I have had no classes dealing with complexity analysis of algorithms. • Changing the language for NSLocalizedString() in run time

  I have an iPhone application which has a button to change display language in run time. I have looked at NSLocalizedString() which will return the appropriate strings according to system preference. What are my options rather than hard coding all the display strings and return according to user language selection in run time? Any pointers will be much appreciated.
