    My event log is flooded with this message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied has expired. I think this happens when people timeout instead of logout. First of all , this is not an error, it's Type: Information I don't want this information, how do I stop ASP.NET from logging it? My application is not web-farmed, and uses a static machine key.

  • Cocoa giving error: <Error>: doClip: empty path.

    Coco gives error: Thu Jun 10 19:13:56 myComputer.local myApp[####] <Error>: doClip: empty path. But I don't have this function anywhere in my code (can't find by searching in frameworks / project)... Seems a lot of people complain about this because it goes into the console logs, but couldn't find any reason given as to what causes it on a progmatic level. Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

However at work we are tied to Java for the time being, so I'm wondering this: is there a port of the framework out there for Java people like myself? But I don't want someone to spam something all the way to the top. So I found (a) creating an account and only allowed to vote once and (b) CAPTCHA to decrease spam.     I'm currently building a LOB application in Silverlight 4. I've been considering the question of typography for the application. After some experimentation on the design side the font that people like is Segoe UI. Now I can embed this font and although the font is freely available in Windows we don’t have distribution rights for this font. I am looking for an open source font visually equivalent of the Segoe family that can be freely distributed. Does such a font exist?

  • How to override Equals on a object created by an Entity Data Model?

    I have an Entity Data Model that I have created, and its pulling in records from a SQLite DB. One of the Tables is People, I want to override the person.Equals() method but I'm unsure where to go to make such a change since the Person object is auto-generated and I don't even see where that autogen code resides. I know how to override Equals on a hand made object, its just where to do that on an autogen one.

    Hi, I see people using LEFT JOIN in their mysql queries to fetch data from two tables. But I normally do it without left join. Is there any differences besides the syntax, e.g. performance? Here's my normal query style: SELECT * FROM table1 as tbl1, table2 as tbl2 WHERE tbl1.id=tbl2.table_id as compared to SELECT * FROM table1 as tbl1 LEFT JOIN table2 as tbl2 on tbl1.id=tbl2.id Personally I prefer the first style...hmm..
