• JMeter: how to asign a single distinct value from CSV Data Set Config to each thread in thread group?

  I have to make a load test for a relatively large number of users so I cant realy use User Parameters pre-processor to parametrize each thread with custom user data. I've read that I should use CSV Data Set Config instead. However I run into a problem with how JMeter interprets the input of this Config. Example: I have a thread group of 3 threads and Loop Count:10 with one HTTP request sampler with server www.example.com and path: \${user}. The csv file (bullet is a single line in file) for CSV Data Set Config to extract the user parameter: 1 2 3 4 5 Expected output is that for thread 1-x the path of the request should be: \x. So the output file should consist of 10 samples per thread namely: for thread 1-1 : 10 requests to www.example.com\1 for thread 1-2 : 10 requests to www.example.com\2 for thread 1-3 : 10 requests to www.example.com\3 but instead i get requests to each \1 - \5 and then to EOF. Does anyone know how to achieve the expected effect with CSV Data Set Config in jmeter 2.9?

• Do I have to use a DNS PTR?

  I am currently working on a site in my free time with a few other guys and we are wanting to redirect xxx.com to our new site, yyy.com. So we have xxx.com set to redirect the 216.111.11.1 which is the IP for yyy.com. However, this just says the website is unavailable so it seems as though we need a DNS PTR to redirect 216.111.11.1 to yyy.com. Is there any way to do this without a DNS PTR? The pointer will cost us $15 and it just seems like there should be some better way to go about doing this. Any ideas?

Personally I love IE for many reasons such as ease of use and stability.  I am cranked up to see what IE 9 does as it was retooled from the start. So this one should be big. Also, its bringing HTML 5 support now so we can have much richer applications. Its about time that HTML was revved to move from the old text like stuff to a better model.   I've done searching for my answer and have tested a few solutions, but nothing has worked so far. I'm trying to get a URL like this: http://baseball.sports.com to rewrite to... http://pro.sports.com/baseball-index.php However, I still need to keep the domain the same (http://baseball.sports.com). The reason being I have about 5 subdomains (baseball, football, soccer, etc) that I want to run off the same code base (pro.sports.com). Everything is on the same server.   I have a main site with a bunch of subdomains created. Each subdomain is a blog and I want each blog to have its own domain name i.e. thisguy.com - blog1.mainsite.com thatguy.com - blog2.mainsite.com I bought the new domains and I set up the CNAME records as above to alias them to the appropriate subdomains. However, I get my hosts "a domain is pointing to one of our servers but we don't know anything about it" landing page. How can I set up these domains as aliases of my subdomains?

• Cant get sub-domain created by Plesk working

  Apache 2.2 CentOS Plesk 9.x I am using Plesk to manage my domain names on my virtual host.and GoDaddy for DNS I have created a new sub-domain blog using Plesk. I can see the httpd.include for example.com has a new virtualhost entry - blog.example.com I can also see folders have been created for the subdomain blog vhost\example.com folder But when I try to go to blog.example.com in the browser- I get an error - basically the host is not getting resolved. My site - example.com is working fine otherwise Any idea what could I be missing ? I did try restarting the apache web server as well

I've read about importing from spreadsheet program a cvs file. The issue is I have to add field separators in log file. I couldn't find how to customize that.
