• NGINX access logging with subdomain

  We are trying to log requests made through an nginx load balancer. When we make requests to our server on a subdomain (api.blah.com), the request does not show up in the access logs However, requests made directly to blah.com do show up in the access logs. CONFIGURATION INFO We have a DNS record that creates a CNAME for the subdomain 'api' TRIED SO FAR We have tried looking in nginx.conf for exclusions (or anything that would be telling it to not log) We have tried adding server entries with the subdomain specifically and telling those to log but nothing seems to make a difference

  So, let's say I run sudo apt-get upgrade on my Lucid Lynx and it upgrades a couple of packages I'm interested in. Is there a command to run that will open some kind of info or manual that tells me what changes were made in this new version of the package? For instance, if run the apt-get upgrade and it installs a new version of empathy. Do I have to go over to their site to review the changes made in this version, or is there a quicker command line way?

I was planning to do that in pure PHP without frameworks or CMS's, but then Drupal came into play and I'm wondering if I should learn Drupal and do the app with it. My question is, is Drupal good for such a work, and if it is will it take me more than a week to learn enough to make it possible? For info, I'm a decent PHP programmer.

  I got a Problem with a regex expression and need help. I have some expressions like these in mein .txt File: 19 = NAND (1, 19) regex expression : http://rubular.com/r/U8rO09bvTO With this regex expression i got seperated matches for the numbers. But now I need a regex expression with a unknown size of numbers in the bracket . For example: 19 = NAND (1, 23, 13, 24) match1: 19 match2: 1 match3: 23 match4: 13 match5: 24 I don't know the number of the numbers. So i need a main expression for min 2 numbers in the bracket till a unknow number. I hope somebody can help me.

• Can I get the "value" of an arbitrary statement in JavaScript (like eval does, but without eval)

  In JavaScript is there a way to get the "value" of a statement in the same way that function() { return eval("if (true) { 1 }"); } returns "1"; function() { return if (true) { 1 } } and all similar permutations I've tried are not valid syntax. Is eval just blessed with special powers to determine the "last" value of a statement in an expression? Use case is a REPL that evaluates arbitrary expressions and returns the result. eval works, but I want to wrap it in function.

That's okay so far because bool is a value type and never null. But even if I make AgreesWithTerms nullable it won't work because the compiler shouts "Templates can be used only with field access, property access, single-dimension array index, or single-parameter custom indexer expressions." So, what's the correct way to handle this?

  Does anybody know of a python module to parse a doxygen style C++ comment string? I mean a string like this (simple example): /** * A constructor. * A more elaborate description of the constructor. * @param param1 test1 * @param param2 test2 */ and I would like to extract the brief, the long description, the parameters, the return value etc. I'm currently doing this using string methods and regular expressions but my solution is not very robust. I have to read from a source database and put it into a destination flat file.But the same time the source databse should be configurable. That means in the Oledbconnection manager connection string should change dynamically.this connection string should be taking from a configuration/xml/flat file. I read that i can use varaibles and expressions to change the connection string dynamically.But how do i read connection string value from a config/xml/flat file and set the variable? This part i am unable to do.Or is this the right way to achieve this.. Can we add web.config files to ssis project.? I am new to SSIs. Thanks @mattlant This is a dedicated server that's why I'm installing the SMTP manually. EDIT: I use exchange so its a little different, but its called a smart host in exchange, but in plain SMTP service config i think its called something else. Cant remember exactly the setting name. Thank you for pointing me at the Smart host field. Mail is getting delivered now. In the Default SMTP Virtual Server properties, the Delivery tab, click Advanced and fill the "Smart host" field with the address that your provider gives you.   Hello: I am designing a report that will be used in local mode (an RDLC file) in a Winform app. I have a custom assembly with a static class that has some functions that I want to use inside of the report (as expressions). I have found all sorts of help for doing this with RDL reports, but I'm running into a permissions problem with my RDLC report. I get the following error at runtime: "The report references the code module (my module), which is not a trusted assembly". I know that this is some kind of a code security issue, but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. The documentation that I have seen online is aimed at RDL reports, and it instructs me to edit a SQL Server-specific policy file. I'm using RDLC, so there is no sql server involved. What do I need to do to acquire the appropriate permissions?

  I need to have resource messages that contain EL expressions be resolved when loaded from a ResourceBundle. Basically I have a number of properties files containing the text. Some of the text will look like the following: welcomeText=Welcome #{userbean.name} The only possible way I can see this working currently is implementing a custom taglib so that instead of saying: <f:loadBundle var="messages" basename="application.messages"/> I would have to use <mytaglib:loadBundle var="messages" basename="application.messages"/> #{messages.welcomeText} Given a user with username "User1", this should output Welcome User1 My implementation would then use a custom ResourceBundle class that would override handleGetObject, use the ELResolver to resolve variables etc....Ideas? suggestings? Implementations that are already available? I appreciate your assistance.

• Using RegEx to replace invalid characters

  Hello I have a directory with lots of folders, subfolder and all with files in them. The idea of my project is to recurse through the entire directory, gather up all the names of the files and replace invalid characters (invalid for a SharePoint migration). However, i'm completely unfamiliar with Regular Expressions. The characters i need to get rid in filenames are: ~, #, %, &, *, { } , \, /, :, <, ?, -, | and "" I want to replace these characters with a blank space. I was hoping to use a string.replace() method to look through all these file names and do the replacement. So far, the only code i've gotten to is the recursion. I was thinking of the recursion scanning the drive, fetching the names of these files and putting them in a List. Can anybody help me with how to find/replace invalid chars with RegEx with those specific characters?

  What tools are you guys using for XPath and why? Right now I'm using SketchPath because its totally awesome, but its a windows app that needs to be installed WhiteBeam online XPath test bedbecause you can test expressions from the website SketchPath seems to stand out the most to me because it actually helps you create the xpath and it is very advanced. If you haven't tried it you should. Cons to SketchPath: you have to install it on the machine, otherwise it is fantastic. Cons to WhiteBeam: you have to upload your file which I don't always want to do for security reasons and the file size you can upload has some limit on it, and uploading a file is annoying anyways. Also I think there might be some subtle differences between the xpath used for that tool and when running a .NET app. But don't remember any right now. Just keep it in mind.

• C# Conditional Operator Not a Statement?

  I have a simple little code fragment that is frustrating me: HashSet<long> groupUIDs = new HashSet<long>(); groupUIDs.Add(uid)? unique++ : dupes++; At compile time, it generates the error: Only assignment, call, increment, decrement, and new object expressions can be used as a statement HashSet.Add is documented to return a bool, so the ternary (?) operator should work, and this looks like a completely legitimate way to track the number of unique and duplicate items I add to a hash-set. When I reformat it as a if-then-else, it works fine. Can anyone explain the error, and if there is a way to do this as a simple ternary operator?
