• Why browser doesnt recognize jquery when <script src="...jquery.js> is on a html page served by Goo

  jquery.js source code is not being recognised by browser using my page.html served by Google App Engine as a http:some_request to the SDK, BUT when I load the exact same page.html into the browser directly from my local hard drive as jquery.js all works OK, it is recognized, so I know my path is OK.... I don't understand? In the header of my page.html I have the following: <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> I also tried without success in the header this: <script src="/static/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script> I am working along with the examples in the [Jquery tutorial][1]. I am sure there is something simple I dont understand about how .html pages served to the browser from app engine interact differently with the browser than what I normally would expect....but I frustratingly just cant get it.....everything else I have with my app engine app is working fine......would love some help so i can move forward....

• CUDA small kernel 2d convolution - how to do it

  I've been experimenting with CUDA kernels for days to perform a fast 2D convolution between a 500x500 image (but I could also vary the dimensions) and a very small 2D kernel (a laplacian 2d kernel, so it's a 3x3 kernel.. too small to take a huge advantage with all the cuda threads). I created a CPU classic implementation (two for loops, as easy as you would think) and then I started creating CUDA kernels. After a few disappointing attempts to perform a faster convolution I ended up with this code: http://www.evl.uic.edu/sjames/cs525/final.html (see the Shared Memory section), it basically lets a 16x16 threads block load all the convolution data he needs in the shared memory and then performs the convolution. Nothing, the CPU is still a lot faster. I didn't try the FFT approach because the CUDA SDK states that it is efficient with large kernel sizes. Whether or not you read everything I wrote, my question is: how can I perform a fast 2D convolution between a relatively large image and a very small kernel (3x3) with CUDA?

• Could not load file or assembly error even when reference has been removed

  Could not load file or assembly 'Payflow_dotNET_2.0' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) I tried to reference the payflow SDK and got this error.But I am no longer trying to reference it. I have removed all references to this dll. and Now I am just trying to get the project to start in VS but I still get this error. I am not trying to add the dll anymore.If i have removed the reference to this, why am I still getting this error? How can I remove anything else that may still be causing my program to look for this file? Thanks!

• Xcodebuild failing to pick up environment values from project file?

  I'm using Xcode 3.2.6, MacOSX. I have a globally visible environment setting: ICU_SRC=~/Documents/icu/source This really is an environment setting, it's set at login time. When I open up Terminal, it's there. In my project, under Header Search Paths I've added this: $(ICU_SRC)/i18n $(ICU_SRC)/common These expand correctly when I compile inside the IDE. When I look at the build results, I see this: -I/Users/eric.grunin/Documents/icu/source/i18n -I/Users/eric.grunin/Documents/icu/source/common When I build from the command line, however, it fails. What I see is this: -I/i18n -I/common Here's the command I'm using to compile: /usr/bin/env -i xcodebuild -project my_project.xcodeproj -target "my_program" -configuration Release -sdk macosx10.6 build What am I doing wrong? • CUDA & VS2010 problem

  I have scoured the internets looking for an answer to this one, but couldn't find any. I've installed the CUDA 3.2 SDK (and, just now, CUDA 4.0 RC) and everything seems to work fine after long hours of fooling around with include directories, NSight, and all the rest. Well, except this one thing: it keeps highlighting the <<< >>> operator as a mistake. Only on VS2010--not on VS2008. On VS2010 I also get several warnings of the following sort: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\xdebug(109): warning C4251: 'std::_String_val<_Ty,_Alloc>::_Alval' : class 'std::_DebugHeapAllocator<_Ty>' needs to have dll-interface to be used by clients of class 'std::_String_val<_Ty,_Alloc>' Anyone know how this can be fixed?

• OpenGL ES 2.0 Rendering with a Texture

  The iPhone SDK has an example of using ES 2.0 with a set of (Vertex & Fragment) GLSL shaders to render a varying colored box. Is there an example out there on how to render a simple texture using this API? I basically want to take a quad, and draw a texture onto it. The old ES 1.1 API's don't work at all anymore, so I'm needing a bit of help getting started. Most shader references talk mainly about advanced shading topics, but I'm really unsure about how to tell the shader to use the bound texture, and how to reference the UV's. Thanks!

  What is the quickest way to come up to speed on OpenGL ES 1.x? Let's assume I know nothing about OpenGL (which is not entirely true, but it's been a while since I last used OpenGL). I am most interested in learning this for iPhone-related development, but I'm interested in learning how it works on other platforms as well. I've found the book OpenGL ES 2.0 Programming Guide, but I am concerned that it might not be the best approach because it focuses on 2.0 rather than 1.x. My understanding is that 2.0 is not backwards-compatible with 1.x, so I may miss out on some important concepts. • Java not working on MacOS X Leopard

  I'm running Leopard, xcode 3.1.3. When I type "java" at the command line I get this: dyld: could not load inserted library: /usr/lib/libSaturnFE.dylib Trace/BPT trap What did I do? I did do some profiling with Saturn a while back but I didn't know it was going to screw up my machine. I'm fairly sure it worked when I first installed xcode. I guess I could install a different Java SDK than the one that came with Xcode? I can't find an upgrade path for Xcode that doesn't require me to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I just don't feel like upgrading to Snow Leopard right now because I don't have good disk backups in place. edit: at least if anybody could point me to a resource or even a Mac forum where I could ask this question it would be really helpful.

  I am running the demo application that is supplied with the facebook-ios-sdk. The application starts in the emulator, with a LogIn button. I click the button which then launches safari to grant access to the application. I log in with my fb creds and allow the application. I am the administrator for the application and I have verified I put in the right app key. After I allow access, it says "Safari cannot open the page because the address in invalid"...this is the url it's trying to go to: http://www.facebook.com/connect/uiserver.php... So am I missing something because the breakpoint for (void)fbDidLogin never gets hit...

• Build Google App Engine Java source from Eclipse

  I would like to try to build Google App Engine for Java from source. I have tried this: I don't know how to solve the javac Ant task. I am on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The reason why I am trying to to create a Java Project from the source is that when I try to debug/step-into the sources downloaded from SVN, something is wrong in Eclipse and it does not track execution at the right code line. It seems to be executing "comment lines"? So I don't get an accurate tracking of the code path. I think what I would ideally need is: 1) svn checkout command with matching REV number of latest SDK 2) wget command downloading matching jar

  Hi All, I have seen the BusinessCard example provide in Android examples. I am using ContactAccessor abstract class to seperate out the SDK versions. My code is running fine for 2.0 onwards, but when I am trying to build the code in Adnroid 1.6 I am getting the following errors: Build.VERSION_CODES.ECLAIR is not resolved. Getting errors in the whole class in which I have used Contacts APIs from 2.0 (say in class ContactAccessorSdk5.java). How to resolve these issues? I want to run my App on both the versions. • What states does my route travel through?

  I've got a page that has a map with a starting and ending location. I run a route between them to get the nifty line showing the route. I'm currently using Bing but have attempted with Google as well. I'd like to know which states this route passes through so I can then overlay those states with specific information. Any suggestions on how to obtain this would be most appreciated. I'm using the AJAX SDK's for both Bing and Google. Handling all the local stuff with js/jquery.

• Windows Azure local development environment speed

  I've started porting an existing ASP.NET web app to Windows Azure and have noticed that the development process is really slow. Each time I make a change to my code and want to view it, I have to effectively redeploy it to the local dev cloud (using Start debugging (F5) or Start without debugging (Ctrl-F5). The process itself takes over a minute, during which time Visual Studio is completely unresponsive. Am I doing something wrong or is that simply how things are developing for Azure? My specs: Visual Studio 2008 9.0.30729.1 SP 5 projects running on .NET 3.5 SP1 Azure SDK 1.1 (February 2010) Single instance of a single web role Dual-core AMD 64 machine with 8GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 7, fully patched The main project itself is quite large (3k files, ~200k lines) but compiles normally in 10-15 seconds

  What would be the best way to write Objective-C on the Windows platform? Cygwin and gcc? Is there a way I can somehow integrate this into Visual Studio? Along those lines - are there any suggestions as to how to link in and use the Windows SDK for something like this. Its a different beast but I know I can write assembly and link in the Windows DLLs giving me accessibility to those calls but I don't know how to do this without googling and getting piecemeal directions. Is anyone aware of a good online or book resource to do or explain these kinds of things?

  Hi Before installing Eclipse I had Open JDK on default. Now I changed it to Sun Java. I did as Eclipse Helios was running really slow, unfortunately it is still... Do you have any ideas how to enforce it to use Java Sun? I could reinstal it however I have already Android SDK installed so I would have to do all the process again, after all thats not the correct way of solving problem I think.   In my iPhone app, I would like the user to be able to "connect" two of my views by: 1) starting a drag in View A 2) as they drag towards View B, a straight line with one end in View A and the other end under at the current drag point, animates in a rubber-band fashion 3) when/if they release in View B, the line is then shown between the two views I've seen examples of dragging and dropping views, and other examples of animations, but I haven't seen one that is a simple example of this kind of user-directed animation. Any pointers towards examples or the specific docs I should be looking at would be appreciated. If this turns out to be trivial - my apologies. Although I've done quite a bit of development, I'm just getting started in the iPhone SDK and Core Graphics.
