  Hi, I'm developing a tool that searches the keyword entered by the user on a given site. My problem is, it searches the keyword only on html/web pages but not on the PDF/MS-Word files found on the site. Can anyone suggest me some api/tool or provide the code that can search text from the given online PDF/MS-Word/Text file?

• Can I stop NUnit GUI test run from code under test?

  I'm using nunit.exe (v2.5.3, as it happens) for our testers to run UI tests of our web site, using WatiN. The regression test suite is up to around 100 tests. While the test suite is running, the test web site could go down for maintenance. It would be more efficient in those circumstances if the test suite would stop altogether, rather than attempting to run each remaining test, and failing. Is there any way to accomplish this?

• Why can't my master page be loaded

  I've largely ignored this error, but i can do so no more. I'm trying to view a page that inherits from a master page in my solution, but I see this: "The Master Page file 'Site.master' cannot be loaded." The page exists, I can browse to it, view it in design view and do stuff. When the site is loaded in the browser, it works fine. Any ideas?

It let users submit links to their favorite books for various programming languages, and write a short blurb about why they're so good. You could include their Amazon page and the website would grab a cover picture. I've since lost that bookmark and am trying to find it again, anyone know what site I'm talking about?   I'd like to run an app in a restricted private beta on heroku. We're changing the app regularly and haven't done a security audit. To stop anyone exploiting stuff, we'd like to lock down the whole site, so you need a password to access anything. Ideally similar to using .htaccess and .htpasswd files to lock an entire site on an Apache server. Is there a simple one shot way to do this for a heroku hosted app?

• DB access denied with ASP.Net MVC application after switching to windows authentication mode

  I have a MVC application that I am now trying to add authentication and authorization to. I want to allow users to get to the site and be automatically authenticated. So I set authentication mode="Windows" in the web.config, and enabled NTLM in the project options. The site now shows my domain name in the top right when I run it, but when I hit a action than needs DB access, it tells me access is denied for my user-name? What step am I missing?

  I am running a server on Windows XP SP2 computer . Lets call it computer_1. The ip address of computer is 192.168.1.2 Now I have another computer ( computer_2) on the lan with ip address 192.168.1.3 I want to access the site on computer_1 from computer_2. comupter_2 can ping computer_1 (ping 192.168.1.2 works) But when I type http://192.168.1.2 in the browser of computer_2, nothing happens. I want to access the site on comupter_1 from computer_2 Please help.

• Is It Possible to get a (rough) Mobile Phone Location from a HTTP Request

  If memory serves me correctly, google does this for the maps site. I know google's mobile maps app can determine the rough location (I assume using some kind of cell tower lookup), yet I seem to remember the site getting somewhat close to the current location when viewing on a mobile browser. Anyone know how/if that's possible? Does the IP address change based on the tower or area (seems like they'd be using some kind of gateway common to the carrier)?

  On my joomla wensite the joomla poll extension (down,right) or any other joomla poll only works in Firefox,Safari and all the other browser but not in IE8 or lower versions. I need a poll on my site and 95% of my site visiters use IE8, its fustrating. How can i get any joomla poll to work in IE8 ? I can do this for file downloads and such but what about the pure html content itself. How can I track the output size of a page (or the data that's trasnfered via an AJAX call) to the client and log it against a particular users session? • OPS4j repository alternative

  The OPS4J repository is down at present and I am trying to run pax-provision using a profile for spring-dm. My question is how do I tell maven to locate the profile information from a site other than ops4j.org. Is this possible? ideally I would like to cache all the packages from the repo especially the spring-dm details which seem never to be cached and are downloaded all the time making coding on the train and times when the site is down impossible.
