  can any one help me, im trying to backup a database located on localhost\SQLEXPRESS but i keep getting the following error TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Backup failed for Server 'localhost\SqlExpress'. • SCCM 2012 unable to update boot images with pxe enabled

  we are fighting an error in sccm 2012. When we attempt to distribute boot images (after selecting the pxe option) we receive an error that the pxe image cannot be expanded (distmgr log). Can you give us any direction on what to try or attempt in this scenario? We only have one dp in our environment at the moment, however we have found that by creating another dp on a different server we don’t have this problem. However we really need the primary site to be a dp. We have tried: Removing and reinstalling the dp Removing and reinstalling the WDS Reinstalled the OS ... ouch Reinstalled SQL We even attempted to manually mount these wims in the remote install folder, no luck... • GLFW 3 initialized, yet not?

  I'm struggling with creating a window with the GLFW 3 function, glfwCreateWindow. I have set an error callback function, that pretty much just prints out the error number and description, and according to that the GLFW library have not been initialized, even though the glfwInit function just returned success? I think I'm getting the error because of the setup isn't entirely correct, but I've done the best I can with what I could find around the place I downloaded the windows 32 from glfw.org and stuck the 2 includes files from it into minGW/include/GLFW, the 2 .a files (from the lib-mingw folder) into minGW/lib and the dll, also from the lib-mingw folder, into Windows/System32 In code::blocks I have, from build options - linker settings, linked the 2 .a files from the download. I believe I need to link more things, but I can figure out what, or where I should get those things from.

  I would like to do something like that: An object ReportingFile that can be a LogRequest or a LogReport file. ( both got the same structure) An object Reporting containing for one logRequest, a list of logReport with a date. I tryed to set an EmbededId, that would be an attribute of the logRequest. And that's the problem i got. I don't arrive to mannage embedded id. • ASP.Net FormsAuthentication Redirect Loses the cookie between Redirect and Application_AuthenticateR

  I have a FormsAuthentication cookie that is persistent and works independently in a development, test, and production environment. I have a user that can authenticate, the user object is created, the authentication cookie is added to the response: 'Custom object to grab the TLD from the url authCookie.Domain = myTicketModule.GetTopLevelDomain(Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_HOST")) FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(authTicket.Name, False) Response.SetCookie(authCookie) The user gets processed a little bit to check for a first time login, security questions, etc, and is then redirected with the following tidbit: Session.Add("ForceRedirect", "/FirstTimeLogin.aspx") Response.Redirect("~/FirstTimeLogin.aspx", True) With a debug break, I can verify that the cookie collection holds both a cookie not related to authentication that I set for a different purpose and the formsauthentication cookie. Then the next step in the process occurs at the ApplicationAuthenticateRequest in the global.asax: Sub Application_AuthenticateRequest(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Dim formsCookieName As String = myConfigurationManager.AppSettings("FormsCookieName") Dim authCookie As HttpCookie = Request.Cookies(formsCookieName) At this point, for this ONE user authCookie is nothing. I have 15,000 other users who are not impacted in this manner. However, for one user the cookie just vanishes without a trace. I've seen this before with w3wp.exe exceptions, state server exceptions and other IIS process related exceptions, but I'm getting no exceptions in the event log. w3wp.exe is not crashing, the state server has some timeouts but they appear unrelated (as verified by timestamps) and it only happens to this one user on this one domain (this code is used across 2 different TLDs with approximately 10 other subdomains). One avenue I'm investigating is that the cookie might just be too large. I would think that there would be a check for the size of the cookie going into the response, and I wouldn't think it would impact it this way. Any ideas why the request might dumping the cookie? NOTE: The secondary cookie I mentioned that I set also gets dumped (and it's very tiny). EDIT-NOTE: The session token is NOT lost when this happens. However, since the authentication cookie is lost, it is ignored and replaced on a subsequent login.

  Hi, I'm creating a simple silverlight application using Silverlight 4 and Expression Blend 4 Beta, but when I run the Application I get the following Error: C:\Users\WebDevelop1\Documents\Expression\Blend 4 Beta\Projects\SilverlightApplication1\SilverlightApplication1.sln.metaproj : error MSB4126: The specified solution configuration "Debug|HPD" is invalid. Please specify a valid solution configuration using the Configuration and Platform properties (e.g. MSBuild.exe Solution.sln /p:Configuration=Debug /p:Platform="Any CPU") or leave those properties blank to use the default solution configuration. Done building project "SilverlightApplication1.sln" -- FAILED. Build failed. I'm relatively new to silverlight and not really sure where to start. This has happened with every project I have created in Blend, but when I run it in VS2010 it runs perfect. Is this a known issue with the Beta release or am I possibly missing something? In rails:-- Routing takes an incoming URL and decodes it into a set of parameters that are used by Rails to dispatch to the appropriate controller and action for example rs.recognize_path "/blog/show/123" {:controller=>"blog", :action=>"show", :id=>"123"} M i right?? We mention this (written down) line of code in our routes.rb under config directory to tell rails how to handle the request like "/blog/show/123" using this line of code. map.connect "blog/show/:id", :controller => "blog", :action => "show", :id => /\d+/ Fine.. Now in php when we do something like this www.xxx.com/profile.php?profile_id=2 How the request is sent to the requested page. Means i never wrote anything for routing in php, then how this request has been handled. How the rounting is done in php (anything i missed during my learning/working in php) R u getting what i am asking. Please let me know if there is any problem.

  This is a very strange one. I have an asp.net MVC 1 app. Under IIS6, with no anon access - only integrated windows auth - every thing works fine. I have the following on most of my Foo pages: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> Show All: <%= Html.CheckBox("showAll", new { onClick = "$(this).parent('form:first').submit();" })%> <% } %> Clicking on the checkbox causes a post, the page is reloaded, everything is good. When I look at the access logs, that's what I see, with one oddity - the js library is requested during the page first request, but not for any subsequent page requests. Log looks like: GET / 401 GET / 200 GET /Content/Site.css 304 GET /Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.min.js 401 GET /Scripts/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js 401 GET /Scripts/jquery.tablesorter.min.js 401 GET /Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.min.js 304 GET /Scripts/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js 304 GET /Scripts/jquery.tablesorter.min.js 304 GET /Content/Images/logo.jpg 401 GET /Content/Images/logo.jpg 304 GET /Foo 401 GET /Foo 200 POST /Foo/Delete 302 GET /Foo/List 200 POST /Foo/List 200 This corresponds to home page, click on "Foo", delete a record, click a checkbox (which causes the 2nd POST). I've noticed under IIS7.5 that every single page request re-issues the requests for the js libraries - the first one a 401, followed by either a 200 (OK) or 304 (not modified), as opposed to the above log extract where that only happened during the 1st request. Is there any way to eliminate the 401 requests? Could a timing issue have something to do with the click being ignored? Would increasing the number of concurrent connections help? Any other ideas? I'm at a bit of a loss to explain this.

  Hi all, I'm trying to send some data via dojo.xhrPost to an Zend Controller Action. I can see the data being sent in Firebug console. However, when inspecting the post data, the array is empty. I'm not sure if it is possible to send an arbitrary string of data via dojo.xhrPost without using a form. This is probably a very n00b mistake.   I am having some problems with what should be a rather simple task. I simply need a JSON array with a single JSON object within it to be posted to my webservice. The entire URL request needs to be formatted like this: http://www.myserver.com/myservice.php?location_data=[{"key1":"val1","key2":"val2"....}] I cannot for the life of me figure out how to append the 'location_data' bit using HttpPost. Here is a code snippet to demonstrate the HTTP connection method I am using: HttpClient hClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost hPost = new HttpPost(url); try { hPost.setEntity(new StringEntity(string)); hPost.setHeader("Accept", "application/json"); hPost.setHeader("Content-type", "application/json"); //execute request HttpResponse response = (HttpResponse) hClient.execute(hPost); HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); I don't have any syntax errors, and my code is accessing the server fine, just not in the exact format the server needs. We have a large number of sites all running the same code. Once a site has failed to load a DLL it throws up a Yellow Screen of Death until the next App Pool recycle. We haven't been able to reproduce this behavior and the sites seem to work fine for days or weeks at a time (and many App Pool recycles) before failing. Has anybody else seen similar behavior? Update: We've tried reproducing the failure by setting up a few hundred sites and writing a script to hit them repeatedly while recycling the App Pool once every couple of minutes and were unable to accomplish much other than loading down the server's CPU for a few days straight. We then tried messing (locking one of the DLLs, changing the file permissions) with the copies of the DLLs that ASP.NET makes and managed to reproduce similar behavior but not the same exception. Does anybody have any ideas on how to adjust the security policy to get it to throw a System.Security.Policy.PolicyException: Execution permission cannot be acquired. when loading a specific DLL?

• JQuery UI Autocomplete Syntax

  Can someone help me understand the following code? I found it here. It takes advantage of the JQuery UI Autocomplete with a remote source. I know the success function literal is an AJAX option which is called when the AJAX query returns. In this case, it seems to encapsulate a call to the response callback? Which is defined where? I thought by definition of a callback, it should be called on its own? Thanks!

• .NET Webservice Client: Auto-retry upon call failure

  Hi, We have a .NET client calling a Java webservice using SSL. Sometimes the call fails due to poor connectivity (the .NET Client is a UI that is used from the weirdest locations). We would like to implement an automatic retry mechanism that will automatically retry a failed call X times before giving up. This should be done solely with specific types of connectivity exceptions (and not for exceptions generated by the web service itself). We tried to find how to do it on the Binding/Channel level, but failed... any ideas? Thanks, yonadav
