django: can't adapt error when importing data from postgres database

IIS7 GrantByDefault

I have an application (written in c#) that allow me to set IIS to allow or deny access to a website from all ip addresses. The application works fine for IIS6 however it does not work with IIS 7 (even with IIS 6 WMI Compatibility installed). heres the code (basically) Type typ = this.Entry.Properties[IIsWebDirectoryProperty.IPSecurity][0].GetType(); var securityProp = this.Entry.Properties[IIsWebDirectoryProperty.IPSecurity][0]; typ.InvokeMember("GrantByDefault", BindingFlags.DeclaredOnly | BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.SetProperty, null, securityProp, new object[] { IPSecurity.GrantByDefault }); this.Entry.CommitChanges(); I have checked the metabase for both IIS6 and IIS7 using the metabase explorer and the only diffecnce I can see is that the "IPSecurity" property does not appear in IIS7 until you also add a an allow or deny IP address, through IIS Manager. Whats really got me stumped is that even when I edit the feature setting to Deny access in the IIS Manager there is no change to the metabase or to the web.config in the site root! So how/where is this property being set and read from? And how can I set and read value of this property programmatically?

Linux Lightweight Distro and X Windows for Development

Heyall... I want to build a lightweight linux configuration to use for development. The first idea is to use it inside a Virtual Machine under Windows, or old Laptops with 1Gb RAM top. Maybe even a distributable environment for developers. So the whole idea is to use a LAMP server, Java Application Server (Tomcat or Jetty) and X Windows (any Window manager, from FVWM to Enlightment), Eclipse, maybe jEdit and of course Firefox. Edit: I am changing this post to compile a possible list of distros and window managers that can be used to configure a real lightweight development environment. I am using as base personal experiences on this matter. Info about the distros can be easily found in their sites. Unable to create website error (NEW)

I copied my ClickOnce deployment to my C:/Inetpub/ folder on my webserver and I deleted my Virtual directory. I deleted the WpfApplication1 folder beneath wwwroot in Win Explorer. Then I turned on Web Sharing for this folder. Then I viewed my IIS Manager and this new Share name appeared under wwwroot. So now under Inetpub folder on my web server I have the following directory path: C:\Inetpub\WpfApplication1\ with contents: Application Files publish.htm setup.exe WpfApplication1.application Next, I remapped both the publishing and installation URL's for the project to http://myserver/WpfApplication1/ And I clicked Publish Now. But after I performed a Publish Now operation, I got the following error on my development server (D610-M): Error 1 Failed to connect to 'http://myserver/WpfApplication1/' with the following error: Unable to create the Web site 'http://myserver/WpfApplication1/'. The Web server does not appear to have any authentication methods enabled. It asked for user authentication, but did not send a WWW-Authenticate header. 1 1 WpfApplication1 On my webserver, when I click Browse from the IIS Manager on the WpfApplication1 directory, it shows me the Install page. But after I click the Browse button, it returns an error which says: The remote name could not be resolved: 'd610-m' (D610-M is the name of my development server). How do I fix this?

Application Installation error Blackberry

Hi all, I have an application of mine on AppStore. But one user is complaining that he can not install the application on his device(Curve 8900) and it's giving error "Error starting AppName $28NonTouch$29: Module 'AppName $28NonTouch$29-2' has verification errors." Now how come it is possible that other's users are able to download properly while one user is getting this error. I downloaded the application from the appstore and its working perfectly. And when this user tries to install the application through Desktop Manager he is getting error "No additional applications can be found. Your file may contain applications that already exist in the application list, are not compatible for your device, or have errors." When i tried to stimulate the issue here by installing the application through desktop manager i am able to install it properly without any error messages. Can anyone suggest me ,what might be causing this issue.?? Is there any kind of version mismatch?? My application is compiled usiong jdk 4.5. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Kindly help,Its urgent.. Thanx in advance."

Semaphore race condition?

I have created a "Manager" class that contains a limited set of resources. The resources are stored in the "Manager" as a Queue. I initialize the Queue and a Semaphore to the same size, using the semaphore to block a thread if there are no resources available. I have multiple threads calling into this class to request a resource. Here is the psuedo code: public IResource RequestResource() { IResource resource = null; _semaphore.WaitOne(); lock (_syncLock) { resource = _resources.Dequeue(); } return resource; } public void ReleaseResource(IResource resource) { lock (_syncLock) { _resources.Enqueue(resource); } _semaphore.Release(); } While running this application, it seems to run fine for a while. Then, it seems like my Queue is giving out the same object. Does this seem like its possible? I'm pulling my hair out over here, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Create a HTML table from nested maps (and vectors)

I'm trying to create a table (a work schedule) I have coded previously using python, I think it would be a nice introduction to the Clojure language for me. I have very little experience in Clojure (or lisp in that matter) and I've done my rounds in google and a good bit of trial and error but can't seem to get my head around this style of coding. Hello, I have created a custom data grid control. I dragged it on windows form and set its properties like column and all & ran the project. It built successfully and I am able to view the grid control on the form. Now if i try to view that form in designer, I am getting following error.. asp.net does not Redirect when in frameset

I have developed an application on asp.net. I uploaded it to my host. lets say http://myhost/app. My manager wrapped this address into an empty frameset on http://anotherhost/somename and sets the src of frame to http://myhost/ap. And so nobody can login. When the button is hit, it posts back (browser loads stuff, progress bar fills up and ends) but nothing happens. Does not redirect. (I have set IE to alwaysAllowCookies and it now does work, but other people still cannot) I think there is something that I have no clue about framesets and ASP.NET ps: I never use frames but could not convince my manager in doing so. He likes to develop in front page :) Whatz happening? Quality assurance in small developer teams

Ideally, in a project you will developers, testers, QA manager(s) etc which all make their contribution to the quality of the code. But what if you don't have that kind of resources? If you just have, for example, three developers and don't have the resources to hire a full time QA manager, how do you assure that the code quality meets set standards? What kind of things do you pay attention to in quality assurance? Quality isn't just about the code doing what it is supposed to do (code is properly tested with automatic tests). Quality is also about the code being clean (readable, maintainable, well structured, documented, etc). I'm looking forward to hear what kind of processes you have applied to your team to assure that the quality meets the set standards. We've applied a process where we rotate the QA role between the developers. Each developer is responsible for QA one week at a time. Each changeset is revised and checked that existing tests pass, required new tests have been written, that the code is clean and, of course, that the project builds.

HTML Doctype Setting / IE Quirks Mode

I'm working within the parameters of an un-reachable developer, whom has created an html generation system for our products.. Whenever a new page is generated he places:   resulting in my code looking like:   <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> I don't believe IE read's this doctype at all, as when looking at the developer screen, it renders in Quirks mode... is there any other way to force IE out of this horrible Quirks mode? I've been trying to reach the developer but he has been rather un-available.. Thank you in advance for any help you might have to offer.

Now I know it's because that I need to give the correct information such as browser, how can I know what kind of information I need to set, and how can I set it? (By setHeader function??) I'm trying to implement Spring 3 Security in a project, but I can not get rid of the following error: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name '_authenticationManager': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No authentication providers were found in the application context This seems weird, as I did provide an authentication provider! I know there are Gavick, it is good ... but I need second options for that 2. thumbnail image for each articles. Joomla has no thumbnail for article modules .. sad :( 3. comment system. should I use Disqus (disqus.com) or using jomcomment. About Disqus, is it good and reliable services ? 4. Tag hierarchy ... any good recommendations ? 5. Serializing a part of object graph

Hi all, I have a problem regarding Java custom serialization. I have a graph of objects and want to configure where to stop when I serialize a root object from client to server. Let's make it a bit concrete, clear by giving a sample scenario. I have Classes of type Company Employee (abstract) Manager extends Employee Secretary extends Employee Analyst extends Employee Project Here are the relations: Company(1)---(n)Employee Manager(1)---(n)Project Analyst(1)---(n)Project Imagine, I'm on the client side and I want to create a new company, assign it 10 employees (new or some existing) and send this new company to the server. What I expect in this scenario is to serialize the company and all bounding employees to the server side, because I'll save the relations on the database. So far no problem, since the default Java serialization mechanism serializes the whole object graph, excluding the field which are static or transient. My goal is about the following scenario. Imagine, I loaded a company and its 1000 employees from the server to the client side. Now I only want to rename the company's name (or some other field, that directly belongs to the company) and update this record. This time, I want to send only the company object to the server side and not the whole list of employees (I just update the name, the employees are in this use case irrelevant). My aim also includes the configurability of saying, transfer the company AND the employees but not the Project-Relations, you must stop there. Do you know any possibility of achieving this in a generic way, without implementing the writeObject, readObject for every single Entity-Object? What would be your suggestions? I would really appreciate your answers. I'm open to any ideas and am ready to answer your questions in case something is not clear.

The application is similar to windows explorer, so consider an app with a main window with menu (ShellViewModel), a tree control (TreeViewModel), and a list control (ListViewModel). I want to implement menu items such as Edit - Delete, which deletes the currently selected item (which may be in the tree or in the list). I am using Josh Smith's RelayCommand, and binding the menuitem to a DeleteItemCommand in the ShellViewModel is easy. It seems like implementing the DeleteItemCommand, however, requires some fairly tight coupling between the ShellViewModel and the two child view models (TreeViewModel and ListViewModel) to keep track of the focus/selection and direct the action to the proper child for implementation. That seems wrong to me, and makes me think I'm missing something. Writing a focus manager and/or selection manager to do the bookkeeping does not seem too hard, and could be done without coupling the classes together. The windowing system is already keeping track of which view has the focus, and it seems like I'd be duplicating code. What I'm not sure about is how I would route the command from the ShellViewModel down to either the ListViewModel or the TreeViewModel to do the actual work without making a mess of the code. Some day, the application will be extended to include more than two children, and I want the shell to be as ignorant of the children as possible to make that extension as painless as possible. Looking at some sample WPF/MVVM applications (Karl Shifflett's CipherText, Josh Smith's MVVM Demo, etc.), I haven't seen any code that does this (or I didn't understand it). Regardless of whether you think my approach is way off base or I'm just missing a small nuance, please share your thoughts and help me get back on track. Thanks!

How can I set QNetworkReply properties to get correct NCBI pages?

I try to get this following url using the downloadURL function: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/27884304 But the data is not as what we can see through the browser. Now I know it's because that I need to give the correct information such as browser, how can I know what kind of information I need to set, and how can I set it? (By setHeader function??) In VC++, we can use CInternetSession and CHttpConnection Object to get the correct information without setting any other detail information, is there any similar way in Qt or other cross-platform C++ network lib?? (Yes, I need the the cross-platform property.) What's next for all of these Microsoft "overlapping" and "enhanced" products ?

Recently I attended a road show, organised by MS Gold Partner company in the UK. The products discussed were: SharePoint server (2010 and 2007), Exchange server, Office Communication Server 2007, Exchange hosted services Office Live meeting, Office Communicator, System Center Configuration Manager and Operation Manager, VMware, Windows 7 etc. As Microsoft claims the enhancement in the each product against higher version, I felt that clients are not much interested in all these details. For example Office Communicator, surely they have improved a lot the product and first site all said 'WOW' great product, but nobody wish to pay money for all these extra features. Some argued, they are bogged down by all these increased number of menus. They don't need soft call feature included with mobile call. It apply for all other products as well such as MS office (next what 2 ribbons ?), windows OS and many more. Indeed there must be good features in all these products, but is it worth to spend money and time to update the older system ? Also sometimes these feature will decrease the productivity instead increase it. *So do you think what ever enhancement MS is doing in the products is only for selling purpose, not a real use ?? and I think also keep the developer busy learning the new tools and features. * I am sure some some people here will argue that some people need this sort of features. But I am not talking about NASA or MI5 guys. I am talking of usual businesses and joe public. Any ideas welcome.

.NET Remoting Connecting to Wrong Host

I have an application I wrote which has been running well for 4 years. Yesterday they moved all their servers around and installed about 60 pending Windows updates, and now it is broken. The application makes use of remoting to update some information on another server (10.0.5.230), but when I try to create my remote object, I get the following exception: Note that it is trying to connect to 127.0.0.1, not the proper server. The server (10.0.5.230) is listening on port 9091 as it should. This same error is happening on all three terminal servers where this application is installed. Ajax Javascript method cannot be called

I made this method to load javascript functions dynamically. It does include the .js file but when I call a method, the method says that it is undefinited. qTip jQuery Plugin not always Firing

Hi, I am using the qTip jquery plugin qTip plugin for a website I'm working on based on another thread I raised here: stack overflow thread My question is, I have a navigation bar running along the top of my screen which is basically sets the title attribute based on the tab menu you are in, these are all stored within a javascript array. For example, I have three menu options running along the top of the screen, say Menu A, Menu B and Menu C. I also have an information image positioned at the rightmost position of the nav bar, which I set the title attribute, based on the Menu option selected in the Nav Bar. For example: Menu A => myRole[0] = "Admin" Menu B => myRole[1] = "Manager" Menu C => myRole[2] = "Guest" So basically as the user clicks on each of the menus in the nav bar, I set the title attribute in the information image to either "Admin","Manager" or "Guest". At startup, the qTip plugin works and displays "Admin" when I hover over it but when I change the menu to Menu C, it still displays "Admin" instead of "Guest" From the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be calling the qTip plugin, which I have positioned at the footer of the screen (see actual code below). Codeigniter: db data in controller

I'm confused about what to do... I'm working on a user's page where they can view certain things only if their supervisor has given them "money" or "credits". I need a simple way to get the person that is their supervisor by doing something like: $data['employer'] = $this->home_model->getEmployees(array('user_id'=>$manager_id)); Basically, get the user information about a person who's user_id matches the manager_id of the currently logged in member. I don't know how to set the variable $manager_id. Additional Information: The current user has an id, and a manager_id. I need the id of the manager. So, I need to grab the manager_id of the logged-in user and find the manager who's user_id is that of the manager_id. What's the process to do this? I can get each individually, but I don't know how to use one to get the other... I know it is confusing, but I'm confused! Thanks for the help!
