Paramaterising SQL in SSIS

Hi all, I'm trying to paramaterize some queries in SSIS. After some reading, it sounds like my best option is to create one variable that contains my base sql, another that contains my criteria and a final variable that is evaluated as an expression that includes both of these. I want to end up with an SQL query that is effectively UPDATE mytable set something='bar' where something_else='foo' So my first two variables have the scope of my package and are as follows: Name: BaseSQL Data Type: String Value: UPDATE mytable set something = 'bar' where something_else = Name: MyVariable Data Type: String Value: foo My third variable has a scope of the data flow task where I want to use this SQL and is as follows: Name: SQLQuery Data Type: String Value: @[User::BaseSQL] + "'" + @[User::MyVariable] + "'" EvaluateAsExpression: True In the OLE DB Source, I then choose my connection and 'SQL command from variable' and select User::SQLQuery from the dropdown box. The Variable Value window then displays the following: @[User::BaseSQL] + "'" + @[User::MyVariable] + "'" This is as desired, and would provide the output I want from my DB. The variable name dropdown also contains User::BaseSQL and User::MyVariable so I believe that my namespaces are correct. However, when I then click preview, I get the following error when configuring an OLE DB Source (using SQL command from variable): TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio Error at Set runtime in DB [Set runtime in myDb DB [1]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E14. An OLE DB record is available. C#/LINQ: How to define generically a keySelector for a templated class before calling OrderBy

Hi Folks, I have the following class defined in C# class myClass<T,U> { public T PropertyOne { get; set; } public U PropertyTwo { get; set; } } I need to write a function that reorder a list of myClass objects and takes two other parameters which define how I do this reorder: does my reordering depend on PropertyOne or PropertyTwo and is it ascending or descending. Let's say this two parameters are boolean. red black tree balancing?

java annotations - problem with calling a locator class from a Vaadin Project

Hello, I'm not sure how to explain this without writing several pages so I hope the actual code is more expressive. I've made a jar containing multiple annotation declaration similar to the following: @Target(ElementType.PACKAGE) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface MarkedPackage { } then I have made a test jar containing several classes in several packages and marked just one package with the above annotation (with package-info.java) like below: @myPackage.MarkedPackage package package.test.jar; this jar had in its build path the jar containing the annotations. then I made a static class that has a method (LoadPlugins) that retrieves a list with all the jars of a directory. Then it searches through the jars for the 'package-info' class and checks if that classes package contains the MarkedPackage annotation. by calling this: if (checkPackageAnnotation(thisClass.getPackage())) where thisClass is the package-info class retrieved via a classloader. and: public static boolean checkPackageAnnotation(AnnotatedElement elem) { System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); if (elem == null || !elem.isAnnotationPresent(MarkedPackage.class)) return false; return true; } the elem.getAnnotatios().length is there for debug purposes. In JSF - What is the correct way to do this? Two dropdown lists with dependency.

Hi, I'm making two dropdown lists in JSF which are dependent. Specifically, one list has all the languages and the second list contains values that are displayed in the currently selected language. I've implemented this by having the second list use information from a Hash and rebuilding that Hash in the setter of the currently selected language. JSF Code Bit: <rich:dropDownMenu value="#{bean.currentlySelectedLanguage}" id="languageSelector"> ... (binding to languages hash) ... <rich:dropDownMenu value="#{bean.currentlySelectedScript}" id="ScriptPullDown"> ... (binding to scripts hash) ... Backing Bean Code Bit: setCurrentlySelectedLanguage(String lang){ this.currentlySelectedLanguage = lang; rebuildScriptNames(lang); } I'm wondering if that's a good way of doing this or if theres a better method that I am not aware of. Thank you! EDIT - Adding info.. I used a a4j:support that with event="onchange" and ReRender="ScriptPullDown" to rerender the script pull down. I could probably add an action expression to run a method when the value changes. But is there a benefit to doing this over using code in the setter function?

Setting an Excel Range with an Array using Python and comtypes?

This seems to be inline with what MSDN says about passing an array to a Range's Value. I also found this page showing something similar in C#. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? onTouchListener togglebutton, ignores first press?

I have a togglebutton that should run code when I press it down and more code when I let go. However the first time I press and let go nothing happens. Every other time it is fine, why is this? Silverlight 3 data-binding child property doesn't update

I have a Silverlight control that has my root ViewModel object as it's data source. The ViewModel exposes a list of Cards as well as a SelectedCard property which is bound to a drop-down list at the top of the view. I then have a form of sorts at the bottom that displays the properties of the SelectedCard. My XAML appears as (reduced for simplicity): <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <ComboBox DisplayMemberPath="Name" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Cards}" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=SelectedCard, Mode=TwoWay}" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=SelectedCard.Name}" /> <ListBox DisplayMemberPath="Name" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=SelectedCard.PendingTransactions}" /> </StackPanel> I would expect the TextBlock and ListBox to update whenever I select a new item in the ComboBox, but this is not the case. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that the TextBlock and ListBox are actually bound to properties of the SelectedCard so it is listening for property change notifications for the properties on that object. But, I would have thought that data-binding would be smart enough to recognize that the parent object in the binding expression had changed and update the entire binding. It bears noting that the PendingTransactions property (bound to the ListBox) is lazy-loaded. So, the first time I select an item in the ComboBox, I do make the async call and load the list and the UI updates to display the information corresponding to the selected item. However, when I reselect an item, the UI doesn't change! For example, if my original list contains three cards, I select the first card by default. Data-binding does attempt to access the PendingTransactions property on that Card object and updates the ListBox correctly. If I select the second card in the list, the same thing happens and I get the list of PendingTransactions for that card displayed. But, if I select the first card again, nothing changes in my UI! Setting a breakpoint, I am able to confirm that the SelectedCard property is being updated correctly. How can I make this work???

Theme change doesn't work on <4.0 as it should

I have some difficulties with setting up a "theme switcher" programmatically. I tried checking if it at least works and changed Theme.NoBarBlack in values (for android <3.0) and its value the same as Theme.NoBar and then when I pressed button font wasn't changed -as it should do.

Why doesn't is operator take in consideration if the explicit operator is overriden when checking ty

Hey Guys, Consider this code sample: public class Human { public string Value { get; set;} } public class Car { public static explicit operator Human (Car c) { Human h = new Human(); h.Value = "Value from Car"; return h; } } public class Program { public static void Mani() { Car c = new Car(); Human h = (Human)c; Console.WriteLine("h.Value = {0}", h.Value); Console.WriteLine(c is Human); } } Up I provide a possibility of an explicit cast from Car to Human, though Car and Human hierarchically are not related! The above code simply means that "Car is convertible to human" However, if you run the snippet you will find the expression c is Human evaluates to false! I used to believe that the is operator is kinda expensive cause it attempts to do an actual cast that might result in an InvalidCastException. If the operator is trying to cast, then the cast should succeed as there's an operator logic that should perform the cast! What does "is" test? Does test a hierarchical "is-a" relationship? Does test whether a variable type is convertible to a type?

(x86) Assembler Optimization

I'm building a compiler/assembler/linker in Java for the x86-32 (IA32) processor targeting Windows. High-level concepts of a "language" (in essential a Java API for creating executables) are translated into opcodes, which then are wrapped and outputted to a file. The translation process has several phases, one is the translation between languages: the highest-level code is translated into the medium-level code which is then translated into the lowest-level code (probably more than 3 levels). My problem is the following; if I have higher-level code (X and Y) translated to lower-level code (x, y, U and V), then an example of such a translation is, in pseudo-code: x + U(f) // generated by X + V(f) + y // generated by Y (An easy example) where V is the opposite of U (compare with a stack push as U and a pop as V). This needs to be 'optimized' into: x + y (essentially removing the "useless" code) My idea was to use regular expressions. For the above case, it'll be a regular expression looking like this: x:(U(x)+V(x)):null, meaning for all x find U(x) followed by V(x) and replace by null. Imagine more complex regular expressions, for more complex optimizations. This should work on all levels. What do you suggest? What would be a good approach to optimize in these situations?

Custom pager in my Gridview 1st time works, next doesn't :

Hi guys, i'm with one strange problem. I am extending a control from a Gridview, and adding a dropdown to paging to the page i want. In my custom gridview i added a ITemplate than contains 4 image buttons and one dropdownlist (4 images - 1st, prev, next, last) (1 ddl - to page) and add him to my custom gridview.. I added a selectindexchange event to dropdown, to fire when a index is changed The problem is: The first time i load the page with my control it is really ok.. but when i change index, in debug i see to run constructor of control, creating footer template, and guess.. the method of indexchange isn't fired and returns an exception saying: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton' to type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.Table'. Cannot get new product attribute in grid display

I added a new attribute to my products(a boolean "yes/no" field). It is a variable to enable/disable the price from displaying on the product detail page, and grid view. I managed to get it work on the product info page. But on product grid page I cant seem to access that variable. Specifically, the template i am working with is catalog/product/price.phtml. From what i can tell, the price is being displayed by the same group of if-statements on both the product detail page, and grid page. This has me confused because i cant find any code on that template to handle multiple products, just a bunch of nested if statements. this is how im attempting to access this new variable using $_displayPrice. on line 36 of catalog/product/price.html <?php $_product = $this->getProduct(); ?> <?php $_id = $_product->getId() ?> <?php $_displayPrice = $_product->getDisplayPrice() ? "Yes" : "No"; echo $_displayPrice;?> What has me further confused is that when display $_product-getData(), my new variable isn't anywhere among that data. thanks in advance

I need to remove Java Script tags using regular expressions and JRegex

I need to remove all the Java Script tags and the content in between and style tags from the HTML code of web pages.So far I've come up with this expression : "(<[ \r\n\t]script([ \r\n\t]|){1,}([ \r\n\t]|.)?)|(<[ \r\n\t]noscript([ \r\n\t]|){1,}([ \r\n\t]|.)?)|(<[ \r\n\t]style([ \r\n\t]|){1,}([ \r\n\t]|.)?)" I use JRegex library to work with regular expressions. Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object?

I am programming in C#; the code was working about a week ago, however it throws an exception and I don't understand at all what could be wrong with it. Var root = new CalculationNode(); -> Throw exception. In the call stack thats the only thing listed, I've been told that it could be that I need a clean build, but I am open to any ideas or suggestions. Tal condition always evaluates to false

I'm using plone and trying to display a form result in a page template. I'm trying to filter some database results using tal:condition with a python expression but it always evaluates to false. The code looks like this: <tr tal:repeat="result view/results"> <td> <span tal:condition="python:view.teams[0]==result.team_id" tal:replace="result/position">Position</span></td> <td> <span tal:condition="python:view.teams[1]==result.team_id" tal:replace="result/position">Position</span></td> </tr> I want the table cells to be filled with the team position when the team id is matched in the result, but the cells always are empty. If I remove the tal:condition from the span and replace the tal:replace="result/position" with tal:replace=python:view.teams[0]==result.team_id it prints True or False so I can check that the result is correct. Can anyone help me about this issue? Why does tal:condition allways evaluate false?

Never run mysqld as root. 2. ...'), ('MySQL vs. YourSQL','In the following database comparison ...'), ('MySQL Security','When configured properly, MySQL ...'); SELECT * FROM articles WHERE MATCH (title,body) AGAINST ('database' IN NATURAL LANGUAGE MODE); ... my problem is that the example shows that SELECT returning the first and fifth rows ('..DataBase..' and '..database..') but I only get one row ('database') ! The example doesn't demonstrate what collation the table in the example had but I have ended up with latin1_general_cs on the title and body columns of my example table. My version of MySQL is 5.1.39-log and the connection collation is utf8_unicode_ci . I'd be really grateful is someone could suggest why my experience differs from the example in the manual ! Be grateful for any advice.

How do I get rid of these warnings?

This is really several questions, but anyway... I'm working with a big project in XCode, relatively recently ported from MetroWorks (Yes, really) and there's a bunch of warnings that I want to get rid of. Every so often an IMPORTANT warning comes up, but I never look at them because there's too many garbage ones. So, if I can either figure out how to get XCode to stop giving the warning, or actually fix the problem, that would be great. Here are the warnings: It claims that <map.h> is antiquated. However, when I replace it with <map> my files don't compile. Evidently, there's something in map.h that isn't in map... this decimal constant is unsigned only in ISO C90 This is a large number being compared to an unsigned long. I have even cast it, with no effect. enumeral mismatch in conditional expression: <anonymous enum> vs <anonymous enum> This appears to be from a ?: operator. Possibly that the then and else branches don't evaluate to the same type? Except that in at least one case, it's (matchVp == NULL ? noErr : dupFNErr) And since those are both of type OSErr, which is mac defined... I'm not sure what's up. It also seems to come up when I have other pairs of mac constants... multi-character character constant This one is obvious. The problem is that I actually NEED multi-character constants... -fwritable-strings not compatible with literal CF/NSString I unchecked the "Strings are Read-Only" box in both the project and target settings... and it seems to have had no effect...
