    Hi-- I'm working my way through the book Head First iPhone Development (O'Reilly). Am having trouble on page 68 with the following method and function; I get the error "redefinition of ViewController pickerView:titleForRow:forComponent error. Have checked the code for spaces; seems to be OK. Can you check the code and tell me what's wrong?   • PHP exec() hangs, Error 500

    So, my plan is to make small thumbnails of URL's with PHP and IECapt. IECapt works well, a nice command line tool, gets the full sized image of specified URL in 1 to 4 seconds. But my problem is to execute it trough PHP. This is the code I've trying to get working: exec('IECapt.exe ' . escapeshellarg($URL) . ' ' . escapeshellarg($Filename)) $URL is of course the URL, and $filename is a simplified version of the URL. Sometimes I get the IECapt to snap the image(trough PHP), but it takes awfully long (30-60s), and in the end I always get a 500-error, with no error messages to tell me what's wrong. Both variables are fine, they work manually with commandline: IECapt http://google.com Google.png My server set-up is IIS7 and PHP5.2.9, if relevant. (Windows Vista, all on my personal computer, so full access.) Any ideas?

  • iPhone/iPad fatal error in C++ code produces no output in the log

    I'm trying to move away from Objective-C to C++ for audio in my iPad programming, due to the a few reports I've heard of Objective-C selectors sometimes causing audio glitches. So I'm starting to use pure C++ files. When a fatal error happens in one of the C++ files, I get no output from the log. The app just crashes. For example, if I do this in my C++ file: env = new ADSR(); cout << "setting env to null\n"; env = NULL; env->setSustainLevel(1); cout << "called function on non-initialized env\n"; I get the following output: setting env to null After that, there's a method called on NULL, which apparently kills the app, but absolutely nothing to that effect is reported. What do I need to do to have useful information logged when there's an error in my C++ code?

    I am trying to run a python script which uses a binary file (xFiles.bin.addr_patched) created by a postlinker. However, I am getting this error. File "abc.py", line 74, in ParseCmd shutil.copy(gOptions.inputX, gWorkingXFile) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/shutil.py", line 89, in copy copymode(src, dst) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/shutil.py", line 66, in copymode os.chmod(dst, mode) OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: 'myPath/xFiles.bin.addr_patched' When I checked the permissions of this xFiles.bin, by ls-l, it shows that -rwxrwxrwx 1 nobody nogroup I presume the error is because this file was created by some other application, the python script I am running does not have access to it. Since I am beginner wrt ubuntu, I don't really know how to fix it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? SOLVED: As one of the answers Suggested : chown username:groupname file name fixes this issue

    Hi experts, I am trying to read an excel 2003 file which consist of 62 columns and 2000 rows and then draw 2d dendrogram from 2000 pattern of 2 categories of a data as my plot in matlab.   • bundle install fails with SSL certificate verification error

    When I run bundle install for my Rails 3 project on Centos 5.5 it fails with an error: Gem::RemoteFetcher::FetchError: SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed (https://bb-m.rubygems.org/gems/multi_json-1.3.2.gem) An error occured while installing multi_json (1.3.2), and Bundler cannot continue. Make sure that `gem install multi_json -v '1.3.2'` succeeds before bundling. When I try to install the gem manually (by gem install multi_json -v '1.3.2') it works. The same problem occurs with several other gems. I use RVM (1.12.3), ruby 1.9.2, bundler 1.1.3. How to fix it?

    Okay, I used selenium to test some automation, which I got to work. I did an export of the script for python. When I tried to run the python script it generated, it gave me a "SyntaxError: invalid syntax" error message.   • Alternative way to notify the user of an error

    I have a winform software that communicates with hardware through a protocol. Sometimes error in communication happens and i would like to notify the user. Errors could be for example: timeouts, crc errors, physical disconnection etc... I have a communication window in which i show these errors, but by default this is hidden. The user can open it though the menubar. Popups are annoying to the user (and to myself) so i would like a un-invasive way to notify the user that an error has occurred. Perhaps a info bubble like when XP tells you updates are ready for your computer? I know that NotifyIcon can help put things in the system tray, which i do not wish to have. I'd rather keep it within my MDI. I'm open to other creative ideas as well.

    I have a HTML file and a PHP file in the same folder on the remote server. From the URL, I call the HTML file and the HTML file calls the PHP file when form is submitted. But it is not going correctly. When I submit the Form, it dislays error: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. What should I do? My friend told me to change the signature to void CeaserCrypt(char str[256], char encrypted[256], int key). But I don't think that is correct. How can I get rid of the compile error?

  • Linking error in OMNeT++ using Boost serialization library

    I'm very new to OMNeT++ and I'd like to use the serialization-library contained in the boost framework. However, when trying to use it, I get quite many errors such as: Description Resource Path Location Type undefined reference to `boost::archive::archive_exception::~archive_exception()' OmCCN line 36, external location: /home/alexander/UniBE/BT/simulator/boost-compiledLibs /include/boost/serialization/throw_exception.hpp C/C++ Problem . I guess the problem is that I didn't yet link the compiled library in OMNeT. I've had a look at the makefile but any changes there are worthless since it is generated automatically by makemake. Furthermore, trying to access the menu item 'makemake' in project properties OMNeT++ IDE throws an error (The currently displayed page contains invalid values). Can anyone give me a hint concerning what the error could cause or how to link the compiled library correctly? Any hints are very appreciated! cheers alex

    I have a trigger that contains two cursors loops, one nested inside the other like this: FOR outer_rec IN outer_cursor LOOP FOR inner_rec IN inner_cursor LOOP -- Do some calculations END LOOP; END LOOP; Somewhere in this it is throwing the following error: ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows I've been trying to determine where it's coming from for an hour or so.. but should this error never happen? Also.. I am assuming the inner loop automatically closes and opens itself again every time the outer loop goes the next record, i hope this is correct.
