• Organisation GitHub account. Secure to use for personal projects?

  So a large client of mine gave me access to their Organisation GitHub account. With it came a login for myself (on github.companyname.com) and of course access to certain repos on their company account (by switching the user to the company via the button in the top left). Now I was wondering, since I can create private repos for myself, is it safe for me to use these for non-related projects or can the company administrators access my user's repos despite being private? My understanding of Github is limited as it is, so this extra layer of complexity from the organisation account isn't helping too much. Thanks,Mike

• Created Custom Report in Google Analytics, Primary Account Doesn't See It?

  A client shared access with me to their Google Analytics account. I created a custom report which shows up under Custom Reporting for me. I assumed they would also see this report since it was in their account but they sent me a screen shot showing there's no custom report listed. I have already sent them the shortcut link to the custom report configuration. This seems to be the way to share custom reports along with dashboards in GA now. Do custom reports only appear to the accounts (email) that created them? I would think everyone who had access to the account would see the custom report.

  I am trying to use the APK Expansion Files extension for Android. I have uploaded the APK to the server along with the extension files. I have tried: http://developer.android.com/guide/google/play/licensing/setting-up.html#test-response Here it says that if you use a developer or test account on your test device you can set a specific response, I use LICENSED as response and still get NOT_LINCESED. Resetting the phone, clearing google play store cache, application data. Changing the versioncode number in different combinations still doesn't work. Edit: In case someone else was facing this problem I received an mail from the google support team We are aware that newly created accounts for testing in-app billing and Google licensing server (LVL) return errors, and are working on resolving this problem. Please stay tuned. In the meantime, you can use any accounts created prior to August 1st, 2012, for testing. So it seems to be a problem with their server, if I use the main developer thread everything works fine.

Without doing anything special, I get an empty instance of my EditorViewModel with everything null or default. The closest I've come is by calling UpdateModel manually: [HttpPost] public virtual ActionResult Edit(EditorViewModel account) { account.Account = new Account(); UpdateModel(account.Account, "Account"); // this kills me: UpdateModel(account); This successfully updates my Account property model, but when I call UpdateModel on account (to get the rest of the public properties of my EditorViewModel) I get the completely unhelpful "The model of type ... could not be updated." • How to make NAnt send an email using a real account

  First of all, I have already seen this post: nant mail issues but the only answer is not satisfactory (i.e.: doesn't work for me). I am using NAnt to get latest version of source, upgrade version of the libraries and application, build the application, build the setups... all the usual things, I bet. I would like NAnt to send an email to some people confirming the conclusion of the build process; I've already checked the official (pretty ugly, IMHO) documentation for the task, but the example, once copied and customized, doesn't work. This are the NAnt target and task I'm using: <target name="sendMail" > <mail from="[email protected]" tolist="[email protected];[email protected]" subject="Subject of email" mailhost="smtp.gmail.com" message="Your new release is ready!"> </mail> </target> The error message I get is: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. It looks like that the task was designed for use by an account whose provider doesn't need authentication; but what can I do if I must use an external smtp server which requires authentication (telling my boss I need an smtp server in house is not an option)?   I'm trying to simply send an email using my google apps account with php. I am able to send an email in a .net application using the port 587 host smtp.googlemail.com and SSL enabled. It can be with this library or a different one.

• MS CRM 4.0 Remove inactive account from another list

  Hi, I have the following problem, on which I can't seem to find an answer... I have a CRM 4.0 system and I want to achieve the following: When I have a contact/account that's inactive to remove it from another list, for example the Marketing list. So I already have everything, up to the removing part. I have a collection with the inactive accounts/contacts (The ID's(GUID)), I just need to remove somehow the member from the list. So there is a class RemoveMemberListRequest which looks like the correct one, the only problem is, somehow I can't get it to work. foreach (Guid currentMember in inactiveMembers) { RemoveMemberListRequest req = new RemoveMemberListRequest(); req.ListId = context.PrimaryEntityId; req.EntityId = currentMember ; RemoveMemberListResponse rmlResp = (RemoveMemberListResponse)crmService.Execute(req); } When It tries to Execute, the request it fails, with very generic error, that it was unable to execute the request. I am also not sure if that's the correct way of doing it... There is another class that seems to have a property that might be useful: QualifyMemberListRequest With property: OverrideorRemove But I don't really understand how this one works, and I couldn't find enough information. Anybody?

• Force language change from custom account creation script through url

  I have made a custom 'Account Creation' script so that users can login from my phone application. What I want is to be able to change the responses from the server depending on their locale. What might I be able to do here?

• How to view only Mail on shared email account?

  I have a support account which I should have access to in my Outlook 2010, however, since changing from 2003, the situation has become unusual. I used to be able to just view shared mail items in a seperate account, without it having the Calendar, Tasks and Reminders popping up in my face all hours of the day. Now, if I add the account, I get upwards of 60 task reminders that are not my personal account, and that clog up my Reminders window and task list. Is there a way to show only my Tasks and Reminders in Outlook 2010? I've tried the Advanced Filter option on the Tasks list, but if I set it to show only things from or to myself, everything disappears, or nothing disappears. I tried looking in the email account settings for something like 'Read email only' or something to do with only showing some of the modules of outlook, but it was useless.

• How can I follow someone from my non-default account?

  In Tweetdeck I have two accounts; a default one and a secondary one. I have them both in separate columns. However, when a person crops up in my non-default account column that I want to follow I can't seem to find a way to follow them from that account. Hovering over the 'Follow' button brings up the tooltip saying 'From {@Account A}' but no way to switch to the other account. Aside from opening up the link in my browser, signing into Twitter from my second account and then finding the user that way, can I do it directly from Tweetdeck?

  I'm using Pegasus Mail for my mail client, and on my old computer (XP Pro), I could log in as the guest or admin account and it would still work. I recently got a new computer, with XP Pro, and I've set the mail client to work fine when I log in to the admin account, but when I log into the guest account, it always wants the SMTP, POP, and other connection information. How do I get it to remember that? I tried making an admin account, setting it up, and then downgrading that account, but that didn't work either. Does anyone even use PMail?

  When MacOS boots up and the users is prompted to select the account (s)he wants to login into, the users can either click the name / icon of the account with the mouse or just type in the name of the account. I want to do the same at the login screen of Windows7: Login screen pops up, I start to type my account name, I select the account with enter and then I type the password and enter again. No usage of the mouse involved. (I am aware of tab-cycling and hard-to-follow-the-almost-invisible-marker-of-where-the-focus-is-right-now)

  Would you like to use Hotmail, Office Web Apps, Messenger, and more on your website domain?  Here’s how you can add Windows Live to your website for free. Microsoft offers a popular suite of online communications products including Hotmail and Messenger.  Although Hotmail hasn’t been as popular in recent years as Gmail, it is getting a refresh this summer that might make it an even better email solution.  Additionally, the new Office Web Apps offer great compatibility with Office documents. While Skydrive offers 25Gb of free online file storage for all users, so Windows Live can make a great communications solution for your domain. Note: To signup for Windows Live for your domain, you will need to be able to add info to your WordPress.com blog or change Domain settings manually. Getting Started Open the Windows Live Custom Domains page (Link below) to get started adding Windows Live to your domain.  Your free Windows Live account will let you create up to 500 accounts, so it’s great for teams and groups that want to have customized email addresses in addition to those who just want an email account for their website. Enter your domain or subdomain you want to add to Windows Live in the box, and then select whether you want to setup Hotmail with this or now.  We want to add email to our domain, so select Set up Windows Live Hotmail for my domain and click Continue. You’ll need to sign in with a Windows Live ID to create the account, or choose to create a new Windows Live account associated with your domain.   Sign in with your Windows Live ID…this can be a Hotmail, Live Messenger, XBOX Live, Zune ID, or Microsoft.com account. Or, enter your information to create a new Windows Live ID if you selected the second option. Now, review your settings and make sure everything looks correct.  Click the I Accept button to setup your account.   Your account is now fully setup, but you’ll need to add or edit DNS information on your site.  The steps are slightly different depending if your site is hosted on WordPress.com, on your own server, or hosting service. We’ll show you how to do it on either one. First, though, note the information below this box.  You’ll see settings for your Mail setup…   Security settings…   And Messenger integration.  Make note of the settings, especially the circled ones, as we’ll need them in the next step. Integrate Windows Live with Your WordPress Blog If the domain you added to Windows Live is for your WordPress blog, login to your WordPress dashboard in a separate browser window or tab.  Click the arrow beside Upgrades, and select Domains from the menu. Click the Edit DNS link beside the domain name you’re adding to Windows Live. In the text box on this page, enter the following, replacing Your_info with your code from the Mail Setup box in your Windows Live Dashboard.  Note that this is the blurred section in our screenshots.  It should be a numerical code like 1234567890.pamx1.hotmail.com. MX 10 Your_info.pamx1.hotmail.com. TXT v=spf1 include:hotmail.com ~all CNAME Your_info domains.live.com. Click Save DNS records, and your settings are saved to WordPress.  Note that this will only integrate email with your WordPress account; you cannot integrate Messenger with a domain hosted on WordPress.com. Finally, return to your Windows Live Settings page and click Refresh.  If your settings are correct, you’ll now be ready to use Windows Live on your WordPress.com domain. Integrate Windows Live with Your Own Server If your website is hosted on your own server or hosting account, you’ll need to take a few more steps to add Windows Live to your domain.  This is fairly easy, but the steps may be different depending on your hosting company or registrar.  With some hosts, you may have to contact support to have them add the MX records for you.  Our site’s host uses the popular cPanel for website administration, so here’s how we added the MX Entries through cPanel. Login to your website’s cPanel, and select MX Entry under the Mail section. In the text box on this page, enter the following, replacing Your_info with your code from the Mail Setup box in your Windows Live Dashboard.  Note that this is the blurred section in our screenshots.  It should be a numerical code like 1234567890.pamx1.hotmail.com. MX 10 Your_info.pamx1.hotmail.com. Now, go back to your cPanel home, and select Advanced DNS Zone Editor under Domains. Here, add a TXT record with the following info: Name: yoursite.com. TTL: 3600 TXT Data: v=spf1 include:hotmail.com ~all Click Add Record and your Mail integration data is all configured. To integrate Messenger with your own domain, you’ll have to add an SRV entry to your DNS settings.  cPanel doesn’t have an option for this, so we had to contact our site’s hosting company and they added the entry for us.  Copy all of the information in the Messenger box and send it to your domain support, and they should be able to add this for you.  Alternately, if you don’t want or need Messenger, then you can simply skip this step. Once all of your settings are in place, return to your Windows Live Settings page and click Refresh.  If your settings are correct, you’ll now be ready to use Windows Live on your WordPress.com domain. Create a New Email Account On Your Domain Welcome to your new Windows Live admin page!  Now you can add email accounts so you and anyone else you want can access Hotmail and the other Windows Live apps with your domain.  Click Add to add an account. Enter an account name, which will be the email address of the account, e.g. [email protected].  Then enter the user’s name and a password for the account.  By default this will be a temporary password, and the user will have to change it on first log-in, but if you’re setting up this account for yourself, you can uncheck the box and keep this as your standard password. Now, go to www.mail.live.com, and sign in with your new email address and password.  Remember, your email address is your username previously entered followed by @yourdomain.com. To finish setting up the email account, enter your password, secret question and answer, alternate email, and location information.  Click I accept to finish setting up your new email account. Enter the characters in the Captcha to confirm you’re a human, and click Continue. Your new Hotmail inbox will now load, and you’ll have a welcome email in your inbox.  This works the same as normal Hotmail, except this time, your email address is with your own domain. You can now access any of the Windows Live services from the top-level menu. Here’s an Excel Spreadsheet open in the new Office Web Apps via SkyDrive on our new Windows Live account. If you setup Messenger access previously, you can now sign in to Windows Live Messenger using your new @yourdomain.com account as well. Important Links Accessing your Windows Live accounts is easy.  Simply go to any Windows Live site, such as www.hotmail.com or www.skydrive.com, and sign in with your new Windows Live ID from your domain as normal.  You don’t need a special address to access your account; it works just like the standard public Hotmail accounts. To administer your Windows Live for your domain, go to https://domains.live.com/ and sign in with the Windows Live ID you used to create the account.  Here you can add more users, change settings, and view usage details for the Windows Live accounts on your domain. Conclusion Windows Live is easy to add to your domain, and lets you create up to 500 email address for it.  With the upcoming updates to Hotmail and Office Web Apps coming this summer, this can be a nice way to make your domain even more useful.  And with 500 email accounts, you can easily let your team take advantage of your unique address as well. • Mysterious dbboon folder with proxy.php file on my godaddy account

  When doing some web maintenance today, I noticed a strange new folder on my GoDaddy hosting account at the root level named "dbboon", with a single file inside, called proxy.php. It's code is listed below, and seems to be some sort of proxy function. I was kind of troubled because I didn't put it there. I googled all this to learn more, but didn't find anything, except for the proxy file happened to be also stored at pastebin.com: http://pastebin.com/PQsSPbCr I called GoDaddy and they confirmed that it belonged to them, said it was put there by their advanced hosting group for testing purposes but didn't have any more information.   I know this has been disscused a lot, but I I'm not asking how to do it, I'm just asking why it doesn't work. What I am doing wrong. It says that the email was sent succesfully but I don't see it in my inbox. • Is having several desktop environments on one account bad?

  I have gnome classic, cinnamon, unity, gnome 3, and KDE installed on my only user account because I enjoy a little change from time to time (although my favorite is gnome classic) so I installed all of these desktop environments. I heard from a friend that it could potentially cause some problems. • Google adsense - providing access (via an additional account?) to a third party

  I am working with a partner who will be handling the marketing side of things for one of my websites. He has informed me that he will require access to my adsense account. I need to create an additional account for him, so that he can access and manage Google Adwords/units etc, using his own login credentials. However, despite searching Google for a while now, I can't seem to locate any information that pertains to creating additional user accounts. Does anyone know how I may do this?
