  • Some frames are not showing in Frame Animation

    - by Aju Vidyadharan
    I am doing a frame to frame animation. My problem is I have given around 10 drawable images in my anim xml. But only first two and last two is showing not all the images. I am doing a translation also on this image.After translation only frame animation starts.Translation is happening and frame animation also happening but it is not showing all the frames. Here is my anim xml. only frog_01 and frog_02 is showing. <animation-list xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:oneshot="true" > <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_01" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_02" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_03" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_04" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_05" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_04" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_03" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_02" android:duration="70"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/frog_01" android:duration="70"/> </animation-list> Here is the code which I am using for the translation and Frame animation... public void frogAnim() { frogView.clearAnimation(); final TranslateAnimation fslide2 = new TranslateAnimation(10, 65, 0, 0); fslide2.setDuration(400); fslide2.setFillAfter(true); fslide2.setAnimationListener(fanimationListener1); frogView.startAnimation(fslide2); c = false; } AnimationListener fanimationListener1 = new AnimationListener() { public void onAnimationEnd(Animation arg0) { c = true; frogView.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.frog_movement); frogFrameAnimation = (AnimationDrawable) frogView.getBackground(); frogFrameAnimation.start(); playAudioFileListener(R.raw.frog, player); CountDownTimer count = new CountDownTimer(200, 700) { @Override public void onTick(long millisUntilFinished) { } @Override public void onFinish() { frogFrameAnimation.stop(); titileAnimMusic(R.drawable.frog_title, R.anim.alpha_fade_in1, R.raw.vo_child_frog, player); } }; count.start(); } public void onAnimationRepeat(Animation animation) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } public void onAnimationStart(Animation animation) { } };

  • Need an Android Devloper with access to a Motorola Droid of Nexus One (Android 2.1)

    - by Rob Kent
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I have an Android app on the market that has a reported problem on Droid and Nexus One (both with Android 2.1). I don't have access to the handset and cannot find anyone with one where I live. The problem I'm experiencing is partially explained at: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2700983/problem-saving-file-on-motorola-droid-android-2-1. If you are an Android developer with either of those handsets, I'm happy to pay a reasonable fee if you'll debug the app for me. I'll send you the source. Please email me at [email protected]

Now the Official facebook connect for Android is out, but there are about 11 big time issues and it fails almost all the time, so its not a real solution. http://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk/ Any idea how to resolve this issue? • Need help with android.os.Build.VERSION.SDK_INT and SharedPreferences

    - by Fenderf4i
I have a main activity where I call VersionSettings vs = new VersionSettings(this); if (vs.firstRun2()) vs.versionCheckbox(); What I'm trying to do is set a checkbox (checkboxVideoType) to an unchecked state if the Android version is 1.6-2.1 I only want to do this the very first time the app is ever run, it never needs to run again. I think I'm running into the problem when the main activity calls versionCheckbox(), I get a force close if it attempts to run the code inside that is going to set the checkbox to false. I'm very new to programming and would really appreciate some help with this. I think I'm close, but need a push. Thanks in advance! • I cannot find many android application in "my" market

    - by Josef Sábl
I just bought HTC Tattoo with Android 1.6 and to my disappointment, there are lots of applications that I cannot find in my market. I use AppBrain, to select and install apps but once I try to install them, there is error message that application does not exist. Same thing is when I try to install using barcode. What is going on? I guess it has something to do with my location (Europe) but I could not find note about this anywhere.

  • Android -> Ruby Server Interface -> Mongodb

    - by MRabRabbit
I've been wrecking my brain about this for a few days. I'll run my scenario by you and hopefully you can help me. In my head this is how it goes: I have an Android App. I want my Android App to make (function) calls to a MongoDB database via a Ruby Interface on the Server. e.g. Android app sends a HTTP GET ? with the function name, let's say getFriends for this user Ruby Interface receives this request from the app, grabs a thread from a thread pool and calls the appropriate function call implemented in Ruby, to the Mongodb. Ruby Interface gets results from Mongodb and sends a HTML POST to the Android app. So that's how I think it works. I know about the ruby driver for mongo db, and interacting with the mongodb from ruby but, how do I make a ruby back end listen for incoming messages and should these messages be done through sockets or a http interface ala Net::http in ruby?

  • How to Change the Default Application for Android Tasks

    - by Jason Fitzpatrick
When it comes time to switch from using one application to another on your Android device it isn’t immediately clear how to do so. Follow along as we walk you through swapping the default application for any Android task. Initially changing the default application in Android is a snap. After you install the new application (new web browser, new messaging tool, new whatever) Android prompts you to pick which application (the new or the old) you wish to use for that task the first time you attempt to open a web page, check your text message, or otherwise trigger the event. Easy! What about when it comes time to uninstall the app or just change back to your old app? There’s no helpful pop-up dialog box for that. • Ubuntu for Android on the ASUS Transformer Prime

    - by sola
I would like to use Ubuntu on my Transformer Prime in parallel with Android (not as a dual booting solution, I want to be able to switch between them instantaniously). I am aware of the traditional chrooting/VNC solution but I heard that it performs very poorly so I would like to use Ubuntu For Android (UFA) which has been announced recently by Canonical. That looks like a polished, highly integrated solution for Android devices. The Prime would be the ideal device for Ubuntu For Android since it has a powerful processor (Tegra3) capable of running a lot of processes in parallel on its 4 cores. Does anyone know if Canonical or anybody else is working on supporting UFA on the ASUS Transformer Prime? As far as I understand, the X11 driver is available for Tegra3 so, the biggest hurdle may be easily overcome.

  • Developing for Chrome App/Android?

    - by Johnny Quest
I have been developing for win7 mobile (XNA/silverlight and will continue to do so, love everything about it) but I wanted to branch a few of my more polished games to google app store online, and perhaps android(though not sure, as with all the different versions it makes learning/loading applications a bit tricky) What is the most versatile language to start learning from chrome apps/android: Java would be excellent for android, but could I port it to a web app for chrome? (and its close to C#) Flash would work for a web app as I can just embed it into a html page (have done actionscript before, didn't care much for the IDE though), but would it also work on android? or I guess there is always C/C++ but haven't heard much about that, though I think it works for both (though C++ does interest me) Any advice would be excellent, thanks.

When I run the script ./build_native.sh inside the proj.android folder, it gives me the following error: jni/../../Classes/MemoryModeLayer.cpp: In member function 'void MemoryModeLayer::startNewGame()': jni/../../Classes/MemoryModeLayer.cpp:109:25: error: 'time' is not a member of 'std' jni/../../Classes/MemoryModeLayer.cpp:109:25: note: suggested alternative: /Users/abc/android-ndk-r9d/platforms/android-8/arch-arm/usr/include/time.h:40:17: note: 'time' jni/../../Classes/MemoryModeLayer.cpp:111:5: error: 'random_shuffle' is not a member of 'std' jni/../../Classes/MemoryModeLayer.cpp:112:5: error: 'random_shuffle' is not a member of 'std' make: *** [obj/local/armeabi/objs/cocos2dcpp_shared/__/__/Classes/MemoryModeLayer.o] Error 1 make: Leaving directory `/Users/abc/cocos2d-x-2.2.3/projects/Game/proj.android' In MemoryModeLayer.cpp I have the following: std::srand(unsigned(std::time(0))); std::random_shuffle(_xCod, _xCod + _numberOfRows); std::random_shuffle(_yCod, _yCod + _numberOfColumns); I've included the following headers as well: #include <string> #include <ctime> #include <algorithm> #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> Also added using namespace std in the header file. Is there anything else that I should do?

  • Would a multitouch capable PC allow me to do Android development simulating the touch UI without an Android device ?

    - by Scott Davies
Hi, I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab as a reference implementation (phone and first gen Android tablet), of Android 2.x for app development. I have noticed a slew of Android 3.0 slates being talked about at CES 2011 (Motorola XOOM, etc.). If I had a multitouch PC with the Android SDK/Emulator on it, would this allow me to more closely approximate device simulation by allowing user input via the multitouch screen ? Would it work via touch just like Windows 7 recognizes touch as mouse style input ? Has anyone done this ? Thanks, Scott
