    I know, this has been asked a few times already but I'm still having troubles to get files copied my new Nexus 4 phone mounted on my Kubuntu 13.04 machine. I followed the guide at: http://www.pocketables.com/2013/03/how-to-mount-the-lg-nexus-4-as-a-usb-drive-in-linux.html I would only get: $ cp -r /mnt/media/Albums/A\ Perfect\ Circle\ -\ Thirteenth\ Step/ . cp: accessing ‘.’: Transport endpoint is not connected reg@regDesktopHome:/media/nexus4/Internal storage/Music$ ls -l but thereafter , mount still shows it mounted: mtpfs on /media/nexus4 type fuse.mtpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other) What's going on here?   • Recommended Win2k8 Server software to fix my RAID-0 issue

    I'm running an Asus P6T V2 Deluxe. It has six SATA ports and supports onboard RAID. I am using two of those ports for a RAID0 array of 1.5TB Seagate drives using the onboard RAID controller. One of them is giving me SMART warnings and I want to preemptively replace it. I pulled out two other 1.5TB drives from another computer and am ready to use one or both, if necessary. I can't run any SMART diagnostic software from within Windows because it only sees the hardware RAID-0 array, not each individual drive. The first thing I tried was a slow sector-by-sector copy using a free tool called EASEUS Disk Copy. Used the bootdisk, copied (took like 16 hours), unplugged the defective drive and plugged the new one in its place. The motherboard didn't recognize the new drive as being part of the known setup, so it did not want to boot. The second thing I tried was using other software (I forget the name) to copy the partition from within Windows. The first software failed because I had a server operating system. I found another software (I forget the name) which supported a server OS and did a partition copy onto the new drive. This seemed to work and the OS started to boot, but blue screened and started a reboot cycle. I'm assuming the software I was using was no good as it was trying to copy the boot disk while it was in use. I am looking for recommendations on what software to use to fix my problem without doing a re-install. Everything is backed up but my computer works fine and I'd like to avoid re-installation when possible. However, my system would be back up now if I had just started over on a second RAID array. :)

    Is it possible to mirror the two directories without overwritting the files in destination directory with new/changed/deleted files. Something like snapshots. Example: Copy the source directory with all files and sub-directories to destination directory, but if destination directory contains, for example, file A.xls and A.xls has been changed in source directory then copy A.xls but keep the previous A in destination directory as well. To preserve the previous file a datestamp, or counter can be added to the file name. Example after copy: SomeDirectory |--A.xls |--A_20120701.xls |--A_20120920.xls Thank you.

I use it to access a virtual machine implemented through Hyper-V. I have had many problems with the simple operation of cut-and-paste from my machine to the virtual one. The link between my clipboard and the remote clipboard is often broken. It is usual that this happens, when I copy/cut in the remote machine and then copy in my computer and then paste in the remote machine, How do I fix this?

  • What is the most reliable way to copy access front end files to client PCs

    I have several in house databases which have access 2003 front ends, either adp or ade files. I need to copy these from my server to every client machine. In the past I have used a rollout scripts to copy the files to the all users desktop folder. I have since adapted this to also copy files to the public desktop folder since we started having windows 7 client machines as well as XP. The problem is that some of the time these scripts don't work for windows 7. Is there a better way of copying these files to a mix of windows 7 and XP clients or is using rollout scripts the best way?

    I often use SCP to copy files around - particularly web-related files. The problem is that whenever I do this, I can't get my command to copy hidden files (eg, .htaccess). I typically invoke this: scp -rp src/ user@server:dest/ This doesn't copy hidden files. I don't want to have to invoke this again (by doing something like scp -rp src/.* ... - and that has strange . and .. implications anyway. I didn't see anything in the scp man page about an "include hidden files". How can I accomplish this?

    I am experiencing one more problem with my Ubuntu 12.04... I have an External HD (500GB) which is NTFS formatted. I connected this HD on my Ubuntu 12.04 and copied some files. When I connected the HD on a Windows 7 machine I could find the folders (the were visible) but I wasn't able to copy/cut/delete them. However when I opened the folders I could handle the material (mp3s) in them. Does anybody know how can I fix this? How can I fully access and modify folders copied from Ubuntu via a Windows machine?   • shotwell does not copy, but import them without copying

    I tryed to import photos from my external harddisk into shotwell. After doing this, I disconected the harddisk and the photos disapeared immediately. I saw that the photos had been importet into the database without being copied. Copying the whole file into the picturefile is possible, but I would like to have to same fileorder in my library. Not a mixed up (organised by date (shotwell) and organised by filenames (my old organisation). It has not been any problem copying photos from a dvd. Is there any possibility to have the same filestructure for all fotos or is there a bug in shotwell? Thanks

  • How can I get command prompt to merge my files in name order?

    I'm using the copy command in command prompt to merge all the files in a directory, for a number of directories. The problem is, I need to edit the first file in each directory before I merge. This means that when I put in the command "copy /b *.mp3 name.mp3", the joined file has part 2 at the start and part 1 at the end, presumably because it was created last. Is there a way of using the copy command so that the files merge in name order? Each folder has a different number of parts, anywhere from 2 to 1000 so I don't want to list each file with a "+" in between. Ideally, I'd like to find something to insert into the copy command I'm already using. Otherwise, is there a way of rearranging the files in a folder so that if you enter "DIR", part 1 shows up first even if it was edited last? I'm using Windows 7 by the way.

    Ok so here is the deal currently this script outputs all the products in a parent category as well as the products in the child categories. What i would like to do is seperate the output based on child categories. All the child categories are in the array $children and the string $childs. The parent category is the first array element of $children with the following ones being the actual children. The category names are stored in the database $result as " $cat_name ". I want to first Display the cat_name then the products that fall in that category and then display the next child cat_name and items, ect.     Being left-handed, I use the mouse in my left hand. In most applications I use Ctrl + Insert or Shift + Insert to copy and paste (with my right hand). For some bone-headed reason, this is not supported in Photoshop, so I have to use right-click Copy sub-menus, which is a lot slower. Is there a way to configure Photoshop to use Ctrl + Insert to copy and Shift + Insert to paste? EDIT: I tried editing keyboard shortcuts, but it will not accept CTRL + INSERT as a valid entry. Is there no valid option for left-handed users?

Unfortunately this is not accomplished by the vs2012 implementation of accumulate. Internally accumulate calls another function _Accumulate and the rvalue functionality gets lost in the process. It I instead call the _Accumulate function like so string words = Accumulate(wordArray.begin(), wordArray.end(), move(test), adder); I get the intended performance gain. Must the std library be rewritten to take rvalue arguments into consideration? Is there some other way I may use accumulate to accomplish what I want without cheating to much?
