The SRP district operates various power plants and generating stations to provide electricity to nearly 956,000 retail customers. The SRP association maintains an extensive system of reservoirs, wells, and irrigation laterals to deliver nearly 1 million acre-feet of water annually. Salt River Project implemented Oracle’s Primavera Portfolio Management to unify management of its extensive IT portfolio, including essential utility systems, like work and asset management, as well as programming frameworks and development tools. With the system, SRP discovered almost US$500,000 in cost-reduction opportunities by identifying redundant or low use software, including 150 applications that are close to being unsupported. The company retired 10 applications in the last year and upgraded 34 systems. SRP also identified preferred technologies and ensured that more than 90% of applications are based on standard technologies—reducing procurement costs, simplifying maintenance support, and lowering total cost of ownership.   • Magento customer webservice / api

    Hi guys, I need some sort of way to handle Magento's customer login, customer account creation and order checkout via some kind of webservice to be used for Flash, preferably XML. As far as I know the Magento API doesn't have these features. I found the Mammoth Webservices extension but it seems that the project is inactive judging from heir site. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    I'm using microsoft dynamics crm 4 I inserted the following line to restrict a customer lookup to contacts only (no accounts): crmForm.all.customerid.setAttribute("lookuptypes", "2"); It does restrict the lookup to contacts only, but there is a strange bug: When i select any customer, the icon next to him becomes the account icon, not the contact icon (folder instead of card) Any solutions to this ?

  • Is there an intuitive way to reopen Empathy's contact list?

    Since a short while I'm using Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (11.10) with gnome-shell (Gnome 3) and I'm trying to get accustomed to the default Empathy Instant Messaging client. When I hit the close button of Empathy's contact list the window disappears as expected. When I now start Empathy over the Gnome Activities menu the contact list reappears. That's not as easy as clicking a system tray icon back in Psi on Gnome 2 but it works for now. But when I start a conversation first and have an open conversation window, then close the contact list, and try to regain access to it by using Gnome Activities, I only get the conversation window into focus and no contact list appears. I only seem to be able to get the contact list back if I close the conversation window (and thereby signal the conversations to be over) and then use Gnome Activities again to get my contact list back. That's horrible. Is this intended? Is there something I'm missing?

    I am exploring a paid solution to start providing better embedded, dashboard-style analytics information to our website customers/account holders, but would like to also offer an in-house development option to our team. The more equipped I am with specifics (such as the subject of this question), the better the adoption rate from the team (or so I have found), regardless of the path we choose Would anyone care to summarize a couple of options for a fast and scalable database type through which we would provide the following: • Daily pageviews to a users account pages (users have between 1 and 1000 pages) • Some calculated/compounded metrics (such as conversion rate, i.e. certain page type viewed to contact form thank you page ratio) • We have about 1,500 members (will need room to grow); the number of concurrently logged in users will for the question's sake be 50 I ask because our developer has balked at providing this level of "over time" granularity (i.e. daily) due to the number of space it would take up in a MYSQL database To avoid a downvote I have asked specifically for more than one option, realizing that different people will have different solutions.   • Why is it a bad idea to use a customer email as the from address

    I've got an application that emails users once they have filled in a form. It uses a [email protected] as a from address. The customer wants it to use the email from the form as the from address which could be anything. I have been told that this is a bad idea due to spoofing/blacklisting and spam. I feel really vague about the exact reason about why this is a bad idea particularly as i've got to try to counsel the client out of this. Can someone explain to me why this is a bad idea. Interestingly the client has used a gmail account as the from address as a demo which not only works fine but has enabled the application to start sending emails (it wouldn't do it before with an email which was [email protected]). Erm - what is going on. I'm told one thing and the opposite works. Sorry - i know this is basic but I could find anything on a google search. Largely I think because I'm having trouble even framing the question. EDIT Thank you everyone - great answers. Interestingly the server sending the email and the mail box that it is going to are both behind the same firewall so the client says they are unconcerned about spam. Oh well.
