• Direct2D Transform

  I have a beginner question about Direct2D transforms. I have a 20 x 10 bitmap that I would like to draw in different orientations. To start, I would like to draw it vertically with a destination rectangle of say: (left, top, right, bottom) (300, 300, 310, 320) The bitmap is wider than it is tall (20 x 10), but when I draw it vertically, it will be appear taller than it is wide (10 x 20). I know that I can use a rotation matrix like so: m_pRenderTarget->SetTransform( D2D1::Matrix3x2F::Rotation( 90.0f, D2D1::Point2F(<center of shape>)) ); But when I use this method to rotate my shape, the destination rectangle is still wider than it is tall. Maybe it would look something like this: (left, top, right, bottom) (280, 290, 300, 300) The destination rectangle is 20 x 10 but the bitmap appears on the screen as 10 x 20. I can't look at the destination rectangle in the debugger and compare it to: (left, top, right, bottom) (300, 300, 310, 320) Is there any simple way to say "I want to rotate it so that the image is rendered to exactly this destination rectangle after the rotation?" In this case, I would like to say "Please rotate the bitmap so that it appears on the screen at this location:" (left, top, right, bottom) (300, 300, 310, 320) If I can't do that, is there any way to find out the 10 x 20 destination rectangle where the bitmap is actually being rendered to the screen?

  Egal ob Single Instanz oder für Real Applikation Cluster Datenbanken die Grid Infrastruktur findet man bei immer mehr Systemen im Einsatz. Das liegt sowohl an der vereinfachten Überwachungstätigkeiten für die Oracle Datenbank, Listener und ASM Instanz, als auch an einigen weiterführenden Features, wie der einfachen Service Verwaltung für Single Instanz, DataGuard und/oder RAC. Dabei kommen insbesondere den Cluster Ready Services (CRS), einem Bestandteil der Clusterware Komponente der Grid Infrastruktur, eine wichtige Bedeutung zu, da diese intern alle Ressourcen steuert. Ressourcen können hierbei natürlich nicht nur die Oracle Prozesse (Datenbank, Listener, Virtuelle IP Adressen etc.) sein, sondern auch eigene Applikationen, die unter die Überwachung der Grid Infrastruktur resp. Clusterware gestellt werden. Dies kann von simplen Neustartanforderungen im Single Server Betrieb bis zu klassischen Failover Szenarien in Clusterumgebungen reichen. Diesem Aspekt trägt auch die Tatsache Rechnung, dass es seit einiger Zeit generische Applikations-Agenten (Siebel, Tomcat, GoldenGate, Apache, ...) für die Clusterware gibt und eine abgespeckte GI Installation auf der Oracle eigenen Middleware Hardware (Exalogic) läuft, um die Prozesse zu überwachen. Diese Cluster Ready Services werden vom Befehl "crsctl" gesteuert. Deshalb lohnt es sich dieses Utility mal genauer anzuschauen, zumal es einige Feinheiten enthält, die nicht direkt aus der Dokumentation bzw. Hilfe des Tools ersichtlich sind.

• 2D Tile Collision free movement

  I'm coding a 3D game for a project using OpenGL and I'm trying to do tile collision on a surface. The surface plane is split into a grid of 64x64 pixels and I can simply check if the (x,y) tile is empty or not. Besides having a grid for collision, there's still free movement inside a tile. For each entity, in the end of the update function I simply increase the position by the velocity: pos.x += v.x; pos.y += v.y; I already have a collision grid created but my collide function is not great, i'm not sure how to handle it. EDIT: I've worked with Flashpunk and it has a great function for movement and collision called moveBy. Are there any simplified implementations out there so I can check them out?

• getView only shows Flagged Backgrounds for drawn Views, It does not show Flagged Background when scroll to view more items on list

  I am trying to create a listview that receives a flagged list of items to indicate a status to the user. I have been able to create the flag display by using a yellow background (see image at bottom). In Theory, the flagged list can have many flagged items in it. However in my app, only the first three flagged backgrounds are shown. I believe this is because they are initially drawn to the screen. The Flagged background that are not drawn initially to the screen do not show. I'd like to know how to get the remaining flags to show in the list. ListView Recycling: The backgrounds in the listView are being recycled in getView(). This recycling goes from position 0 to position 9. I have flags that need to match at positions 13, 14 and so on. Those positions are not being displayed. listView.getCheckedItemPositions() for multiple selections: This method will not work in my case because the user will not selected the flags. The flags are coming from the server. setNotifyOnChange() and/or public virtual void SetNotifyOnChange (bool notifyOnChange): I'm not adding new data to the list, so I don't see how this method would work for my program. Does this method communicate to getview when it is recycling data? I was unable to find an answer to this in my research. public void registerDataSetObserver: This may be overkill for my problem, but is it possible to have an observer object that keeps track of the all the positions in my items list and in my flag list no matter if the view is recycled and match them on the screen? • Acer aspire 5735z wireless not working after upgrade to 11.10

  I cant get my wifi card to work at all after upgrading to 11.10 Oneiric. I'm not sure where to start to fix this. Ive tried using the additional drivers tool but this shows that no additional drivers are needed. Before my upgrade I had a drivers working for the Rt2860 chipset.   Im trying to write down an UTF8 string (Vietnamese) into C# Console but no success. Im running on windows 7. I tried to use the Encoding class that convert string to char[] to byte[] and then to String, but no help, the string is input directly fron the database. Damit die mittlerweile fünfte Ausgabe dieser Community-Konferenz wieder ein solcher Erfolg wie in den Vorjahren wird, suchen wir (Stefan Lange, Melanie Eibl, Albert Weinert und ich) Sprecher mit interessanten Vorträgen zu Technologien aus dem Microsoft-Umfeld. Dabei wünschen wir uns sowohl Einführungsvorträge in neue Themen als auch die eine oder andere “Level 400 Hardcore-Session” für Spezialisten.   I have an ICollection<MapNode>. Each MapNode has a Position attribute, which is a Point. I want to sort these points first by Y value, then by X value, and put them in a multidimensional array (MapNode[,]). The collection would look something like this: (30, 20) (20, 20) (20, 30) (30, 10) (30, 30) (20, 10) And the final product: (20, 10) (20, 20) (20, 30) (30, 10) (30, 20) (30, 30) Here is the code I have come up with to do it. Is this hideously unreadable? • Hilfe?! Wie funktioniert mein Werkzeug?

  Es gibt eine ganze Reihe an Oracle Tools für die Oracle Datenbank, die per Command Line Interfaces bedient werden können: Von RMAN über ADRCI, vom SQL*Loader über Export/Import, von SRVCTL über SQL*Plus. Und wie es sich für ordentliche Werkzeug gehört, besitzt auch (fast) jedes einzelne von ihnen eine eigene Hilfestellung. Wobei die Betonung eindeutig auf "eigene" liegt. Auch der ungeübte Benutzer wird sehr schnell merken, dass Oracle sich hier wohl nie so wirklich Gedanken darüber gemacht hat, die Hilfefunktionen zu vereinheitlichen - außer dass die Hilfe mehr oder weniger hilfreich ist. Die wohl interessanteste Ausprägung dieser Hilfefunktion ist hier sicherlich der RMAN, dessen umfangreiche Syntaxhilfe nur schwer zu erhalten ist - es sei denn man vertippt sich absichtlich. Solange man alles richtig macht (oder eben falsch, aber leider mit der richtigen Syntax) ist RMAN kein Hinweis über seine umfangreichen Syntaxchecker zu "entlocken". • Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

    Ich darf ja keine Namen nennen, aber der Gewinner unserer Umfrage auf der DOAG Konferenz 2012 steht fest und hat sich mit seiner Teilnahme selbst ein erstklassiges Nikolaus-Geschenk gemacht - und zwar ein niegelnagelneues iPad!!! Zugegeben - genau so wie auf dem Bild sieht das iPad des glücklichen Gewinners nicht aus, denn dieser Custom Design Wunsch von mir hätte wahrscheinlich ebenso viel gekostet wie eine ausgewachsene Exadata, aber das wird die Freude nicht trüben. Und freuen können sich auch noch die Gewinner auf den Plätzen 2 bis 5 - nämlich über eine Laptop-Tasche, hochwertigen Stift und Notizmappe aus Leder.
