  • windows XP login issue

    When i start my XP machine i willnot directly taken to login screen instead i have to press alt-tab and then a messagebox appears and then click have to click no or yes each time to get to login screen. please any body suggest how i can resolve this issue.

    I have created an image of my original hard disk, now i have started my pc by image hard disk, windows xp is working fine. but when we are running an other application programm, we are receiving an error message of Stack Over Flow. While my original hard disk is working fine. We don't know that programm is written in which language. I have only exe file of that. Can any one suggest, what may be the reason.

  • Help needed in installing Snow Leopard on Macbook air

    So. I tried partition my disk using Disk Utility for loading the operating system in the partition drive and installing it. But partition failed, and I could not do that. I tried Remote OSX install from another computer, my MBA crashes with error Hold Power Button to shutdown I dont have a super drive or 8 gigs hard disk. Could someone suggest me some way to install Snow Leopard OSX on my Macbook air ? Thanks !

  • Google Chrome shows garbage text instead of web page

    On some websites, I receive garbage text instead of web page itself. I have noticed that this only happens for pages that are served with Content-Encoding set to GZIP or chunked headers, see the image please: I am using latest version 22.0.1229.94 of Chrome with Windows 7 Ultimaate. The encoding of browser is set to UTF-8. (I also tried changing encoding to Western, etc but same result) Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Thanks

  • How passively monitor for tcp packet loss? (Linux)

    How can I passively monitor the packet loss on TCP connections to/from my machine? Basically, I'd like a tool that sits in the background and watches TCP ack/nak/re-transmits to generate a report on which peer IP addresses "seem" to be experiencing heavy loss. Most questions like this that I find of SF suggest using tools like iperf. But, I need to monitor connections to/from a real application on my machine. Is this data just sitting there in the Linux TCP stack?

    I need to quickly send messages with a little variation in IRC (ie, irc commands). On windows/mirc, I can just click up and the chat input will fill with my previous message. I'm currently using Adium, but it doesn't have this basic feature? Does anyone know how I can get this, or perhaps suggest a different client. Thanks.

    I have a shared hosting where I got used to using cPanel for managing my domains and stuff Now I am moving to a (unix based) VPS hosting, and the plan that I have chosen comes without cPanel. Since I have the root access, I should be able to install virtually anything I desire So my question is Can you suggest some open source\free solution which will give me the same features as cPanel?

  • Active Directory: Viewing "Attribute Editor" after finding an account via ADUC's "Find" option

    When I activate the Advanced features (View - Advanced Features) and open a user's properties by navigating to their OU and right clicking the user object, I see the Attribute Editor tab. However, if I search for a user (right click the domain - Find - search for the user), and double click on the user, I do not see the tab. I cannot normally navigate to users because some OUs have too many users. Can someone suggest an alternative that allows me to view the Attribute Editor tab?

    I have no idea what has gone wrong here. I have installed the audiotool sox, then tried to install the library libsox-fmt-all and all of a sudden apt-get refused to work. I cannot use it now, neither to update nor to install anything. Could somebody suggest what i could do to get it back to work?     I recently purchased a blackberry bold - and was rather annoyed to find that I can't read my pdf files on it (unless I purchase something else [can't remember what] from RIM). Are there any free Blackberry apps out there that allow you to read pdf files (without having to connect to the internet)? Failing that, maybe someone can suggest (free) software I can use to change the pdf format to something that my Blackberry can view/read?

  • Pinta crashes on load in Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

    Unfortunately I can't really give much more information unless anybody can suggest where I should look for logs or dumps etc? Simply put, when I load the program I immediately get the error "Pinta Has Stopped Working". I have tried: Running as administrator Installing to different partitions Installing to folders with no spaces in directory structure I have installed the GTK# for .Net 2.12.9 as required in order to install Pinta.
