  • Flash caroussel xml parse html link

    - by Marvin
Hello I am trying to modify a carousel script I have in flash. Its normal function is making some icons rotate and when clicked they zoom in, fade all others and display a little text. On that text I would like to have a link like a "read more". If I use CDATA it wont display a thing, if I use alt char like &#60;a href=&#34;www.google.com&#34;&#62; Read more + &#60;/a&#62; It just displays the text as: <a href="www.google.com"> Read more + </a>. The flash dynamic text box wont render it as html. I dont enough as2 to figure out how to add this. My code: var xml:XML = new XML(); xml.ignoreWhite = true; //definições do xml xml.onLoad = function() { var nodes = this.firstChild.childNodes; numOfItems = nodes.length; for(var i=0;i<numOfItems;i++) { var t = home.attachMovie("item","item"+i,i+1); t.angle = i * ((Math.PI*2)/numOfItems); t.onEnterFrame = mover; t.toolText = nodes[i].attributes.tooltip; t.content = nodes[i].attributes.content; t.icon.inner.loadMovie(nodes[i].attributes.image); t.r.inner.loadMovie(nodes[i].attributes.image); t.icon.onRollOver = over; t.icon.onRollOut = out; t.icon.onRelease = released; } } And the xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <icons> <icon image="images/product.swf" tooltip="Product" content="Hello this is some random text &#60;a href=&#34;www.google.com&#34;&#62; Read More + &#60;/a&#62; "/> </icons> Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • Optimal xml storage engine

    - by nixau
I'm considering optimal open source solution for storing xml documents with further querying on them effectively. Amount of data will be small. As far as I understand native xml databases might form a proper solution for my case. They obviously store xml documents in highly efficient way. It would be great to learn your experience. Any suggestions on proper solution? Have you got any experience employing xml storage engines in your apps?

  • Qt C++ XML, validating against a DTD?

    - by Airjoe
Is there a way to validate an XML file against a DTD with Qt's XML handling? I've tried googling around but can't seem to get a straight answer. If Qt doesn't include support for validating an XML file, what might be the process of implementing validation myself? Any good reference to start with in regards to validating XML against a spec? Thanks for the help!

  • Is there a way to enforce/preserve order of XML elements in an XML Schema?

    - by MarcoS
    Let's consider the following XML Schema: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <schema targetNamespace="http://www.example.org/library" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:lib="http://www.example.org/library"> <element name="library" type="lib:libraryType"></element> <complexType name="libraryType"> <sequence> <element name="books" type="lib:booksType"></element> </sequence> </complexType> <complexType name="booksType"> <sequence> <element name="book" type="lib:bookType" maxOccurs="unbounded" minOccurs="1"></element> </sequence> </complexType> <complexType name="bookType"> <attribute name="title" type="string"></attribute> </complexType> </schema> and a corresponding XML example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <lib:library xmlns:lib="http://www.example.org/library" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.example.org/library src/library.xsd "> <lib:books> <lib:book title="t1"/> <lib:book title="t2"/> <lib:book title="t3"/> </lib:books> </lib:library> Is there a way to guarantee that the order of <lib:book .../> elements is preserved? I want to be sure that any parser reading the XML will return books in the specified oder, that is first the book with title="t1", then the book with title="t2", and finally the book with title="t3". As far as I know XML parsers are not required to preserve order. I wonder whether one can enforce this through XML Schema? One quick solution for me would be adding an index attribute to the <lib:book .../> element, and delegate order preservation to the application reading the XML. Comments? Suggestions?

  • Representing xml through a single class

    - by Charles
I am trying to abstract away the difficulties of configuring an application that we use. This application takes a xml configuration file and it can be a bit bothersome to manually edit this file, especially when we are trying to setup some automatic testing scenarios. I am finding that reading xml is nice, pretty easy, you get a network of element nodes that you can just go through and build your structures quite nicely. However I am slowly finding that the reverse is not quite so nice. I want to be able to build a xml configuration file through a single easy to use interface and because xml is composed of a system of nodes I am having a lot of struggle trying to maintain the 'easy' part. Does anyone know of any examples or samples that easily and intuitively build xml files without declaring a bunch of element type classes and expect the user to build the network themselves? For example if my desired xml output is like so <cook version="1.1"> <recipe name="chocolate chip cookie"> <ingredients> <ingredient name="flour" amount="2" units="cups"/> <ingredient name="eggs" amount="2" units="" /> <ingredient name="cooking chocolate" amount="5" units="cups" /> </ingredients> <directions> <direction name="step 1">Preheat oven</direction> <direction name="step 2">Mix flour, egg, and chocolate</direction> <direction name="step 2">bake</direction> </directions> </recipe> <recipe name="hot dog"> ... How would I go about designing a class to build that network of elements and make one easy to use interface for creating recipes? Right now I have a recipe object, an ingredient object, and a direction object. The user must make each one, set the attributes in the class and attach them to the root object which assembles the xml elements and outputs the formatted xml. Its not very pretty and I just know there has to be a better way. I am using python so bonus points for pythonic solutions

  • Read/Write Excel Files Directly To/From Memory

    - by Corey O.
Several people have asked, in a roundabout way, but I have yet to see a workable solution. Is there any way to open an excel file from directly memory (like a byte[]) ? Likewise is there a way to write a file directly to memory? I am looking for solutions that will not involve the hard disk or juggling temporary files. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • XSLT 2.0 Header Leaks into Transformed XML

    - by user1303797
    First, a thank you in advance. Second, this is my first post so apologies for any errors or wrongdoings. I am a noob w/ xml and xslt, and can't seem to figure this out. When I transform some xml using xslt 2.0, some of the headers from the xslt leaks into the new xml. It doesn't seem to do it in xslt 1.0 (granted the xslt is a little different). Here is the xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?> <xml_content> <feed_name>feed</feed_name> <feed_info> <entry_1> <id>1</id> <pub_date>1320814800</pub_date> </entry_1> </feed_info> </xml_content> Here is the xslt: <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/strict"> <xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" /> <xsl:template match="xml_content"> <Records> <xsl:for-each select="feed_info/entry_1"> <Record> <ID><xsl:value-of select="id" /></ID> <PublicationDate><xsl:value-of select='xs:dateTime("1970-01-01T00:00:00") + xs:integer(pub_date) * xs:dayTimeDuration("PT1S")'/></PublicationDate> </Record> </xsl:for-each> </Records> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Here is the new xml. Look specifically at the first "Records" element. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Records xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/strict"> <Record> <ID>1</ID> <PublicationDate>2011-11-09T05:00:00</PublicationDate> </Record> </Records>

  • SQL Server 2008 2mb Limit for XML??

    - by Nai
I am trying to output a long XML result from SMSS. When I right click on the results and 'save results as...', I can only get a 2mb file? I have changed the settings in SMSS via Tools - Options - Query Results - SQL Server - Results to Grid, for XML data to be unlimited. Forever, it still seems to be truncating my XML results? So, how can I bypass this problem and output my XML result to a file? Thanks

  • Url rewriting : prevent to display xml

    - by Frank
Edit : I've got an aspx file (default.aspx) that loads a flash file (index.swf), but this swf needs a xml file (foo.xml) to load correctly. However, I would like to block any request aiming directly at the xml file. Is it possible, using a rewritting engine (isapi_rewrite for example) to detect if the xml file is being 'hotlinked' or being loaded by the 'index.swf'(inside default.aspx)? Any ideas? Thank you.

  • What is the best way to modify a few fields in an XML using Java

    - by Kailas J C
I have a big XML which contains around 300 elements. I need to modify 2 or 3 elements in this xml using Java. I don't want to go for conventional marshalling and unmarshalling as it involves the parsing of the whole XML. How is XPath/XSLT manipulation? I know that I can easily read the data but i need to modify the same and put in back in the same XML. The primary concern here is performance. Kindly advise

  • Xml files stop being served by IIS6 after allowing .net to process the .xml extension

    - by Brian Surowiec
    I added a route into my site to allow for a sitemap and everything worked fine in IIS7 but once I deployed the route stopped working. Since the live server is running IIS6 I needed to put a new mapping in for .xml to be processed by .net and then it started to work. My issue though is on every other xml file on the site now. I keep getting a 404 error when trying to view xml files, but the sitemap.xml route works. Is this a routing issue or an IIS setup issue? Here are my routes if it will help routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}"); routes.MapRoute( "Gallery-Group-View", "Projects/{groupId}", new { controller = "Gallery", action = "GalleryList", groupId = "" }); routes.MapRoute( "Gallery-List-View", "Projects/{groupId}/{galleryId}", new { controller = "Gallery", action = "GalleryView", groupId = "", galleryId = "" }); routes.MapRoute( "Sitemap", "Sitemap.xml", new { controller = "XML", action = "Sitemap" } ); routes.MapRoute( "Default", "{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = "" } );
