  I am trying to write a massive multiplayer online (mmo) for a poker site, where one user can be on a Flash client and the other on say an iOS client (iPhone / iPad), and would like to know how can interaction between two users be visible on both clients. Do I use MSMQ? AJAX? Other? I need the messaging layer (client interaction messages) to scale up to 100K+ online users to begin with. • How to present an Android Augmented Reality application?

  I'm currently working on my diploma project - an application for Android that uses the Augmented Reality technology. I'll have to make a presentation of my app and I can't really think of a way to show this kind of application to the crowd. Anyone has ideas? Will really appreciate an elegant solution! EDIT The application shows users the information about the places around, some kind of Layar + Google Places. So the issue is that to use the application you must turn around with your device in hands to see the icons on the screen. Presentation would have been easier if I could just lay the device on the table and use the app.

  When designing and writing documentation for a project an architecture needs to be clearly defined: what are the high-level modules of the system, what are their responsibilities, how do they communicate with each other, what protocols are used etc. But in this list, should the concrete technologies be specified or this is actually an implementation detail and need to be specified at a lower level? For example, consider a distributed application that has two modules which communicate asynchronously via AMQP protocol, mediated by a message broker. The fact that these modules use the Spring AMQP library for sending and receiving messages is a fact that needs to be specified in the architecture or is a lower-level detailed design/implementation detail?

  I have a small website about a commercial product, with a description and tutorial. 2 days ago it was in position 11th in Google search results, without any kind of SEO optimization on my part. Today it's gone. Totally gone - not even in the first 200 results. It's still very high in bing.com and duckduckgo.com. The site is very on topic. It's hosted under domain Keyword.com, and it's about commercial product which addresses the Keyword. How can I know what happened?

• What zoomable image viewers are there for websites?

  What zoomable image viewers are there? By these I mean tools that one can embed in a website to let a user zoom in on and pan around a high res image, a canonical example being http://www.zoomify.com/ (see the demo on their home page). Comments on them are welcome. I'm personally looking for something simple and cheap/free which ideally doesn't require Flash, and will accept the answer that comes closest to these requirements. But others who find this question may have different requirements, so all suggestions will be helpful. I have of course searched; I've found Zoomify, http://www.openzoom.org/ and http://code.google.com/p/galapix/ but none seem to meet my requirements, though I could be wrong and others may have more expert comments on these.

  One of our clients is getting a bit worried about the new "Do Not Track" feature of Internet Explorer 10. Her site is heavily dependent on php sessions (as I imagine many other sites are). This was what she was reading: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18288710 I need some clarification, will this affect how sessions (or cookies) work on normal web sites that use the PHP $_SESSION array? • Plan variable and call dependencies

  I'd like to write down the design of my program to understand the dependencies and calls better. I know there are class diagrams which show inheritance and attribute variables. However I'd also like to document the input parameters to method functions and in particular which calls the methods function executes inside (e.g. on the input parameters). Also sometimes it might be useful to show how actual objects are connected (if there is a standard structure). This way I can have a better understanding of the modules and design before starting to program. Can you suggest a method to do this software design? It should be one-to-one to programming code structure so that I really notice all quirks beforehand (instead of high-level design where thing are hard to implement without further work). Maybe some special diagram or tool or a combination? It is static dependency and call design rather than time dependent execution monitoring. (I use Python if you have any specialized recommendations).

• What should a page's minimum word count be in order to be effectively indexed?

  I'm seeding a new site with hundreds of (high quality) posts, but since I am paying per word written, I'm wondering if anybody in the community has any anecdotal evidence as to how many words of content there should now be for a page to be counted just the same as a 700 word+ post, for example? I know there are always examples of pages ranking well with, for instance, 50 words or less of content, but does anyone have any strong evidence on what the minimum count should be, or has anyone read anything very informative in regards to this issue?   How much frequently google fetches sitemaps? I am now working with a high traffic website normally have 30 new posts per minute.But currently it provides sitemaps which links to new 100 posts(3 minutes). Is this method is enough ?. Is Bots fetch sitemaps every 3 minutes?. Did need to change sitemaps to list all 5M posts(indexed sitemaps)?. How this change will effect on traffic and page rank. Is google bot remove urls that previously listed on sitemap but not now?

  Is there a general class or ID for a html element that a high majority of popular adblockers will block on a website it has no information for. My intention is to have my advertisement blocked, avoiding automatic blocking is easy enough... I was thinking of maybe lending some ids or classes from big advertisment companies that area already being fought off quite actively. right now my html <ul id=partners> <li class=advertisment><a href=# class=sponsor><img class=banner></a></li> </ul> Will this work or is there a more solid approach?
