  • Nokia PC Suite hangs at installing required drivers and doesn't connect to phone

    I am unable to connect my Nokia 2690 to my PC via data cable using Nokia PC Suite under Windows XP SP3 Pro 32 bit. Every time I connect my mobile using the data cable, the Nokia App shows a window where it says it's "Installing the required drivers. Please wait". But even after several hours my phone never conects to my PC and the screen remains there idle. I checked in he task manager, Nokia PC Suite didn't go unresponsive.

  • Noscript button missing in Firefox

    Windows XP professional SP3 Firefox 13.0.1 NoScript Addon 2.4.6 I can't click Javascript links, like for opening a popup window (which I usually don't care about, but this time it was Important :-( ). I mention NoScript as I used to have a button where I could temporarily enable Javascript so the link would work, but with one of the latest updates this seems to be gone. I have "Block popup windows" unchecked and "Enable Javascript" checked in Options. How can I get the NoScript button back?

    when launching chrome from the windows command line I can pass arguments like so: ...>chrome.exe -incognito I can also pass a URL to open ...>chrome.exe google.com Each work fine on their own but I can't get them to work together. What I want is to launch it with a url, and open in its OWN tab, and hide the url, buttons, etc. like a utility window but I do want it resizable.

    Quick question – do you know any software or way of doing a live screenshot of a window and bring it to the foreground? It’d be like picture link in Excel... My problem is that I am running various tasks in IE and Oracle, and they take forever but i have no way of seeing if they’re done without tabbing back into them all the time. I want something so that I can always see in the foreground the status bar/egg-timers thingy for them. Thanks all

  • Routing with VPN and asymmetric communication

    I'm stumbling on a problem that requires your advice. Keywords : networking, route, openVPN Problem : I have a local network with several physical servers and VMs. These machines have ip's in the range 10.10.x.x. I can access these machines from the Internet with the help of openVPN. These machines can : access each other within the local 10.10.x.x subnet access the Internet via the VPN can themselves be accessed (via SSH) from the Internet via the VPN. There is one machine however that behaves strangely and I don't know why. I can SSH into this machine from anywhere via SSH and I can also PING it from anywhere (including the Internet). However from this machine (i.e. when logged into it) I cannot access the Internet or ping machines outside the local network. In other words it will not go beyond the VPN. My question is why?   • Show cell selection in Excel when not in focus

    It's really annoying that Excel (2003 and 2007) doesn't show what cell, row or column that is selected when the window is not in focus. I typically want to refer to the current cell or row while working in another application. Is there any workaround or fix that will make the cell/row highlighted when not in focus? I know that you can copy a cell (Ctrl+C) but it's kind of tiresome to do that every time.

  • Google Chrome pops up "Your preferences can not be read" upon startup

    Had a power outage. After restarting the computer, now whenever I start Google Chrome, a window pops up "Your preferences can not be read. Some features may be unavailable and changes to preferences won't be saved." Nothing whatsoever in Chrome Help nor in the Chrome Forums as to how to fix the problem. How can this be resolved? Additional edit: Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome does NOT fix the problem.

  • Outlook 2010 says "File is in use by another application or user" while closing

    Outlook opens, gets new emails and everything but when I close it, it gives me the following error and then opens up a Save a File window after I cancel this error message. There's no other computer that may be using Outlook under this User Name because I just set-up a brand new User Name. However, Colligo Briefcase is attached to the Outlook and not sure if this is triggering and if so how I address the issue!? Thanks a lot!

If I want to move a terminal to top-right of the screen a simple CTRL+ALT+Numpad9 does the trick for me, and it resizes the window at the same time. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.     Is there any possibility to change default wait for ACK timeout in TCP network on Windows 7 or Windows Server ? I'm using very slow network ( 1200 bps ) and want to tweak TCP. When using default parameters network stuck on multiple retransmissions . If I'm able to change the ACK timeout and tx window size I think that it would work. On Windows XP it was possible but cant find any document for Win7 and Win Server.

  • How does MDT resolve settings specified in multiple machine roles?

    I have a number of machines in MDT that belong to multiple roles. Nothing fancy there. However, in role A (which applies to most machines) the MachineObjectOU is specified, and in role B (which only applies to certain machines) a different MachineObjectOU is specified because those machines need to appear somewhere different in the directory. How do I guarantee that MDT will read settings from role B? Is it the order of roles in the list in the machine properties window?
