• Calling a .NET web service (WSE 3.0, WS-Security) from JAXWS-RI

  I'm writing a JAXWS-RI client that must call a .NET Web Service that is using WS-Security. The service's WSDL does not contain any WS-Security info, but I have an example soap message from the service's authors and know that I must include wsse:Security headers, including X:509 tokens. I've been researching, and I've seen example of folks calling this type of web service from Axis and CXF (in conjunction with Rampart and/or WSS4J), but nothing about using plain JAXWS-RI itself. However, I'm (unfortunately) constrained to using JAXWS-RI by my gov't client. Does anyone have any examples/documentation of doing this from JAXWS-RI? I need to ultimately generate a SOAP header that looks something like the one below - this is a sample soap:header from a .NET client written by the service's authors. • Howto: Configure Spring-WS to publish WSDL files with a '?WSDL' style URL?

  I am trying to configure web service proxying using Mule ESB. I am attempting to do this using Mule's WSProxyService, but after stepping through the corresponding code (with the debugger), it is clear that this class replaces endpoint addresses. The problem is Spring-WS WSDL addresses are of the style http://xxxx/xxxx.wsdl, but WSProxyService expects http://xxxx/xxxx?wsdl or http://xxxx/xxxx&wsdl. It replaces the remote endpoint addresses with the local WSDL address; it cuts the remote WSDL address at the question mark i.e. '?WSDL' is intended to be chopped off, so to create the search term. But because of Spring-WS, this does not work. To break it down: WSProxyService ends up trying to use http://xxxx/xxxx.wsdl to replace http://xxxx/xxxx with http://yyyy/yyyy which fails... leading to actual web service call going direct and not through the proxy. Has anyone ever noticed/solved this problem?? Cheers, Darren

• Is there an extension or a way to write an extension for firefox that allows a developer to refresh

  I'm a developer, and I spend much of my day refreshing the webapps I work on. Occasionally, I'll encounter pages where POST data was submitted, and firefox will prompt me to Resend POST data or to Cancel. Now, I know that I can just redirect a page to itself to get rid of this warning, but I still want to keep this warning for our users; I just want to be able to skip it while developing. It's also not just on one page, but at many different points throughout the app, so it's not like I can just do if $debug==true then redirect or something like that. Basically just a minor convenience issue, but when I encounter the message 50-100 times a day, it can get aggravating. What I want to do is essentially have 3 options when refreshing: Resend POST data, cancel, or refresh without resending POST data The third option would be equivalent to clicking "enter" in the address bar (which is what I end up having to do). The problem with clicking enter is that I often have to "hard refresh" using ctrl+shift+r, but if I do this with POST data I have to click cancel, then click enter on the address bar, then do a hard refresh after that. I would instead like to press ctrl+shift+r, then continue hard refreshing the page without the POST data. Does anyone know how to do this? Through an extension or otherwise? It's totally a minor issue, but it's something that constantly bothers me and I actually think it would be quite a useful option. Thanks

• Problem with Google App Engine Appstats

  I'm having an issue getting Appstats to work correctly. Using /appstats or /appstats/stats ends up in an infinite loop that keeps redirecting back to /appstats/stats. This results in a 404 error saying the page isn't redirecting properly. Any idea what the issue is? Here are the relevant lines in my appengine-web.xml. • Django Upload form to S3 img and form validation

  I'm fairly new to both Django and Python. This is my first time using forms and upload files with django. I can get the uploads and saves to the database to work fine but it fails to valid email or check if the users selected a file to upload. First of all, why would I need to put the prefix for the children if the parent already has it. Doesn't the parent namespace dictate the children nodes/attribute namespaces? Secondly, I want to add the prefixes in the above XML as expected, how can I do that with XSL?

• CSS: series of floated elements without wrapping but rather scrolling horizontally

  I'm working on a album viewer. At the top I want a horizontal container of all the image thumbnails. Right now all the thumbnails are wrapped in a div with float:left. I'm trying to figure out how to keep these thumbnails from wrapping to the next line when there are too many, but rather stay all in one horizontal row and use the scrollbar. • Copied Netbeans IDE Maven Web project failes to compile

  If I am going to make serious changes to my project I like to make a copy (right click project and select copy). I have created copies of my projects many times (maven web applications included) without issue. Now all I do is copy the project making no changes, leaving the copy settings on default (project name etc) and then try to run it and spring decides to take issue with it. Again I try running the original and it works. I deleted the faulty copy, restarted and tried again and still it does not work. • Why is Apache seg faulting?

  We have a production server that seems to Seg Fault a few times every day. The fault is picked up by Apache and logged in the error log - but there seems to be no traffic around the time. If it's a request generating the fault then it looks like it happens before any other logging is made so I can't see how it's happening so it's very hard to debug.   I am using a simple text editor from YUI, but when I click submit the code in the textarea/editor is not sent to the next page. I want to be able to receive it on the subsequent page and then store it in a DB(MySql). I have wasted lot of time already. Please help. • Use a subdirectory as root with htaccess in Apache 1.3

  I'm trying to deploy a site generated with Jekyll and would like to keep the site in its own subfolder on my server to keep everything more organized. Essentially, I'd like to use the contents of /jekyll as the root unless a file similarly named exists in the actual web root. So something like /jekyll/sample-page/ would show as http://www.example.com/sample-page/, while something like /other-folder/ would display as http://www.example.com/other-folder. My test server runs Apache 2.2 and the following .htaccess (adapted from http://gist.github.com/97822) works flawlessly: RewriteEngine On # Map http://www.example.com to /jekyll. Edit: After a ton of research into Apache 1.3, I've found that this problem is essentially a combination of two different issues listed at the Apache 1.3 URL Rewriting Guide. I have a (partially) moved DocumentRoot, which in theory would be taken care of with something like this: RewriteRule ^/$ /e/www/ [R] I also have the infamous "Trailing Slash Problem," which is solved by setting the RewriteBase (as was suggested in one of the responses below): RewriteBase /~quux/ RewriteRule ^foo$ foo/ [R] The problem is combining the two. Moving the document root doesn't (can't?) use RewriteBase—fixing trailing slashes requires(?) it… Hmm…

  Hello all, I've just gotten started using BDD with RSpec/Cucumber/Webrat and Rails and I've run into some frustration trying to get my view spec to pass. First of all, I am running Ruby 1.9.1p129 with Rails 2.3.2, RSpec and RSpec-Rails 1.2.6, Cucumber 0.3.11, and Webrat 0.4.4.   I am currently in the process of creating a mobile version of my web app. The app is being developed with Facebook's PHP Client Library. The issue: I am using the following mobile url to allow users to log in using the mobile devices: http://m.facebook.com/tos.php?api_key=APIKEY&v=1.0&next=http%3A%2F%2Ftweelay.net%2Fm.php&cancel=http%3A%2F%2Ftweelay.net%2Fm.php APIKEY being my app's actual Facebook API key. In the url I am telling Facebook to redirect the user back to http://tweelay.net/m.php when the user signs in or clicks cancel on the log in screen. I am pulling my hair trying to figure out why it keeps sending the user to http://m.tweelay.net/m.php which is currently an invalid end point. I have gone through all of my app's settings on Facebook and I cant find any that reference http://m.tweelay.net and going through all of my source code I cant find any that reference the m. sub-domain either.

I've tried fiddling with the opacity of the rect to no avail. There should be a way of doing this from the UI?   Wordpress provides a function called "the_permalink()" that returns, you guessed it!, the permalink to a given post while in a loop of posts.   I am trying to do a seemingly simple thing, but having trouble accomplishing it. I am trying to automate the posting on my Facebook wall. Basically I have a ASP.NET MVC website that I post updates on, and I want to automatically submit the post to my wall. I see a lot of stuff on FB Connect and getting data, I just want to post. Thanks for any help or guidance. UPDATE: Just trying to resurrect, and be a little more clear in my description as I am not getting anywhere. I have a page that I want with a text box and a button. When I submit the form I want the message to post to my Facebook wall. I thought it was Facebook Connect, but I am getting no where as to how to automatically authenticate myself and post to my wall.   Any obvious issues/problems/gotchas with synchronizing access (in an ASP.NET MVC blogging engine) to a shared object model (NHibernate, but it could be anything) at the Controller/Action level via ReaderWriterLockSlim? (Assume the object model is very large and expensive to build per-request, so we need to share it among requests.) Here's how a typical "Read Post" action would look. Enter the read lock, do some work, exit the read lock. public ActionResult ReadPost(int id) { // ReaderWriterLockSlim allows multiple concurrent writes; this method // only blocks in the unlikely event that some other client is currently // writing to the model, which would only happen if a comment were being // submitted or a new post were being saved. _lock.EnterReadLock(); try { // Access the model, fetch the post with specificied id // Pseudocode, etc. Post p = TheObjectModel.GetPostByID(id); ActionResult ar = View(p); return ar; } finally { // Under all code paths, we must release the read lock _lock.ExitReadLock(); } } Meanwhile, if a user submits a comment or an author authors a new post, they're going to need write access to the model, which is done roughly like so: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult SaveComment(/* some posted data */) { // try/finally omitted for brevity _lock.EnterWriteLock(); // Save the comment to the DB, update the model to include the comment, etc. _lock.ExitWriteLock(); } Of course, this could also be done by tagging those action methods with some sort of "synchronized" attribute... but however you do it, my question is is this a bad idea? ps. ReaderWriterLockSlim is optimized for multiple concurrent reads, and only blocks if the write lock is held. Since writes are so infrequent (1000s or 10,000s or 100,000s of reads for every 1 write), and since they're of such a short duration, the effect is that the model is synchronized , and almost nobody ever locks, and if they do, it's not for very long.

• Whats happening to my HTML?

  I am making changes to my website, and I just noticed that things look different. In IE, the content doesnt center, theres a margin on my content, and the font looks bigger in chrome.. I ran it through Yahoo's HTML validator and the error I get is line 1 - Error: character "" not allowed in prolog. I believe that there may be some sort of whitespace being sent before the DOC TYPE, but I cant seem to fix it. The HTML looks fine in my text editor (Notepad++) so I dont know what the problem is. Im using a strict DOC Type. Everything was fine before I made any changes, but I cant pinpoint what caused the change. If it helps, I'm using a Framework (Kohana). My initial thought was that something was being sent to the browser by an echo or something, but I couldnt find any echo statements. I dont know what could be causing this... • .htaccess add hidden php get variable for language selection

  I have a multiple language website, and I use a php get variable to set the cookie for the language setting. I have multiple subfolders (http://www.site.com/es and http://www.site.com/de) that each have a respective .htaccess file. When accessing these folders, the .htaccess file does this to "silently" redirect the user and add the appropriate php variable: ------- Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteOptions MaxRedirects=10 rewriterule ^http://www.site.com/es/$ http://www.site.com/?l=es [P,R=301] rewriterule ^(.*)$ http://www.site.com/$1?l=es [P,R=301] ------- When someone accesses the root directory: http://www.site.com, I want to add a ?l=en suffix "silently" to the url.
