  A great new feature in VirtualBox 4.0 is the ability to use NAT networking and forward ports without needing to use ssh -L/-R tricks.  This is great for booting multiple VM domains simultaneously.  It is possible to have several instances which map back to the host machine and different ports on localhost:* automatically forward to the correct VM.  This avoids the hassle of setting up dns entries or static IP addresses.In this example, I'm mapping the host ports 3xxxx to the VM's well known server ports.Note: It is important to setup the Frontend HTTP host/port to avoid incorrect URL rewriting.You may also need to setup an http channel to deal with local traffic which uses the network address 10.0.2.15Happy VMing.

• Remapping Alt + F2 in Unity

  I disabled the Alt + F2 default shortcut in unity (ubuntu 11.10) using ccsm and I set a new shortcut using the default system shortcut manager (system settings keyboard). And it works, until I execute a command like compiz --replace. After that, all shortcuts keep working normally, except for Alt + F2. It does nothing. Any suggetions to keep the custom Alt + F2 shortcut working after compiz --replace?

• Missing feature in Hyper-V from Virtual PC

  One thing I really miss is the ability to create shared folder between host and guest.  Virtual PC does this well, you can create Shared Folder to be used every time, or just this one.  I have read some posts on how to do this.  Some people suggest using ISO Creator to package up the files and mount the image to DVD drive, but what I need is truly a "shared" environment, so I'm currently looking into creating Virtual switch and creating an internal network between the host and guest.  Let's see how that works out. I would have loved to give Virtual SAN Manager a try, but I don't have a local Fibre Channel to set one up.   I just added an include filter this morning in my domain (test.org). I have: Custom Filter Include Request URI ^/test-a/46212$|^/test-a/46212|^/test-a/46315 Now after I go to Content Site Content All Pages, I see stats for other pages that I didn't include in my filter. For example I see /somethingelse. I only want to see stats for /test-a/46212 and whatever else in my filter. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

• How can I get started installing Buddycloud software to a hosted site?

  I'm confused about how one hosts a Buddycloud (federated social networking software) channel. I downloaded the source code, but I'm not sure how to install it on my website. Most of the information seems to assume that the host is running their own server, but I have plain ol' paid web hosting. I know that you also need to set up an XMPP server to run Buddycloud, and I'm not sure how to do that on my hosted website—or if it's even possible. If it matters, my site is hosted on a Linux server through IX Web Hosting. I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could point me in the right direction.

• ATI propriatery drivers install latest 12.8, broke my kernel. Stuck on kernel 3.2.0-26

  I messed up a bit. Hoping some here can help me. I tried to install the newest catalyst 12.8. Sadly, this broke my system. I was stuck in low graphics mode. I finally managed to restore the proprietary drivers, and get into ubuntu again. But now I am stuck on kernel 3.2.0.26. I had installed kernel 3.2.0-30, but the system no longer sees it. I have kernel 3.2.0-29 too, but the system cannot see that as well. In the grub menu. When I use sudo update-grub, they are both listed.
