  • Play local video with an HTML/Javascript based Adobe Air application

    I'm trying to add some video playback (that will be used for a tutorial) to my Adobe Air application. I'm not a Flex or Flash developer and my application is HTML/Javascript based, so I'm having trouble with some of the video solutions I've been able to find. Here is one of the examples I've found that is flex based: Playing local files with Air I've looked for a free flash video player that I could just embed. But the only one I've found I was unable to coerce to play files from my Air application directory. I was exited at the prospect of using the HTML5 video tag which I thought Air supported, but that also seems to not work. Can anyone recommend a free flash video player that I can embed? Or a solution that doesn't have to be built completely from flex?

  • How do I play a video through .net in windows 7

    I had setup an app to play a video using the library suggested here this worked great for me for a long time until my machine was upgraded. In windows 7 I get the following exception that I'd never seen under XP: `System.BadImageFormatException: is not a valid Win32 application. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1) at MainApp.Controls.MediaControl.StopVideo() at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmClose(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)` I've installed the June 2010 DirectX SDK and I'm still getting this error. Is there a different library I should be using or some setting that needs to be changed?

  • Soundboard app: Play sound as long as the user is pressing the button

    I am making a soundboard app and i am using sounds with over 30sec duration. I am playing the sound by connecting in IB my action with a "touch down" event, however the sound keeps playing once started. I connected in the some button a "touch cancel" & "touch up outside" event that is supposed to stop the sound but for some reason it doesn't.     Good Morning everyone, I am currently trying to promote my 2012 Server to a Domain Controller but when I am at the first step in the setup I get the Error Message (German, Original Message): [Bereitstellungskonfiguration] Fehler bei der Bestimmung, ob der Zielserver bereits ein Domänencontroller ist: Der Typ [Microsoft.Directory.Services.Deployment.DeepTasks.DeepTasks] wurde nicht gefunden: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Assembly, die diesen Typ enthält, geladen ist. Thus I can neither Configure the AD-DS nor deinstall them via Server Manager. Any Help how to fix that problem would be greatly appricieated.

  • iPhone 3G S sync services problem

    When I try and synchronise my iPhone with iTunes, I get a dialog informing me that "syncing has been disabled on this computer". (I've never disabled syncing myself, and it worked perfectly fine a day ago) Music synchronises fine, as do videos, however, my contacts do not. Google Contacts no longer appears in the list to choose from, and the select box is empty. When I choose to re-enable syncing, iTunes informs me that "iTunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services". I've followed several steps I've found on the internet, including deleting the C:\Users\Ryan\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Sync Services directory, but to no avail. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Is there a Service (in the Windows-form-of-daemon sense) that I accidentally disabled?

    When I open Reporting Services Configuration Manager on my server, an error message appears that says: Reporting Services Configuration Manager An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 800706B3 This error appears before I can even attempt to connect to an SSRS instance. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop. When I attempt to connect, I get the following error message: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib) Additional information: The operation could not be completed. (WinMgmt) Information about my environment: Server: Win Server 2K3 x64, SQL 2005 x64 SP3 Build 9.0.4053 Desktop: Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Steps I have already taken: I have installed the latest service pack on my server and workstation. I do not see any errors in my event logs.

    I've simply been amazed by the quality and speed of Onlive, as this technology has the potential of making hardware requirements irrelevant to the average user. However, at the moment Onlive is only for remotely controlling video games, and not desktops or other devices in general. I'm in pursuit of software or services that can accomplish this as well as Onlive does. I need: viewer (client) program portability (able to run on a USB stick) DirectX, OpenGL / full-screen game compatibility on the server side.** Gaming-acceptable color/scaling quality and responsiveness. I have a very powerful desktop at home and I want to be able to access this raw power from any other computer that I stick my USB into (in the same way Onlive gives gamers use of their powerful servers) What software/services has most of the above?   • How do I get rid of phantom bookmarks in Google Chrome on Mac OS X 10.6?

    I'm running Chrome 5.0.375.38 on OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and although I'm positive that when I installed it I told it NOT to import my Firefox bookmarks, it nevertheless still accessed my OLD Firefox bookmarks (including some that I deleted) when I used the location bar. HOWEVER, when I opened the bookmarks manager, it said that I have no bookmarks whatsoever. Seeking to solve this problem, I installed XMarks on both FF and Chrome, and forced Chrome to download the server bookmarks. Now Chrome lists all my current FF bookmarks, but STILL sees the old, phantom bookmarks from when I first installed Chrome in the location bar, even though when I search for these same bookmarks in the bookmarks manager they don't show up. Aargh! Any ideas? Even if there's some way to force-kill-wipeout-clean-erase ALL my Chrome bookmarks that's fine as long as it kills the phantom ones b/c I can still overwrite with XMarks. Thanks!

In another textbox, I filled in a date in the wrong format - and instead of getting an error message, the web site just acted as if my form submission was valid, except nothing was saved. Is there any way to see the history of what has been POST-ed (in the current session, at least), from where I can recover my lost text?

  • Consolidate SQL Server Reporting Services

    I've been a big fan of consolidating as many DB's to a few SQL servers for a while and I've had great success with it. However, I've never had to deal with SQL reporting services. Has anyone migrated SSRS from a bunch of random SQL servers into a consolidated SQL server? I don't exactly know a whole lot about SSRS which is part of the problem. To my knowlege, it's one DB per SSRS instance, so it sounds like i'd need to find a way of exporting data and merging it. Basically the process used to look like: Move DB from SQL Express to shared SQL server Change point in APP to point at new SQL server With reporting services, how do I move the reporting service compenent of the DB as well? I realize I may need to tweak the app, but my question is on the SQL side.

  • Alternative, more efficient scraping method for a noncoder, than Google doc's importxml and xpath?

    I've searched throughout the net for a simple solution, but it seems everyone has their own unique method (coding language) of achieving this. I'm only just beginning to learn Linux, and my coding skills are thoroughly lacking (non-existent). I love the simplicity of using importxml and xpath, but copying and pasting values after reaching the spreadsheet limit of 50 is getting old. Now that I've seen the light, I would really just like to know of a simple, yet scalable solution to get more data into more spreadsheets/databases. Before I really start getting my hands dirty, I would love to know some of the ways you guys go about accomplishing this?

What I did: I made a windows and SQL user with the same name: Then I choose Anonymous authentication in II7 and filled in the credentials of the specific R.S. user http://img32.imageshack.us/i/iis7auth.jpg/ I choose 'Local Service' as the service account in the R.S. configuration mgr http://img88.imageshack.us/i/rsconfigmgr.jpg/ The first problem is that there's always a pop-up when surfing to the website The second is that when I'm able to log in I get the message that the user doesn't have the appropriate permissions.   • What services does hosts.allow NOT affect?

    I know that hosts.allow and host.deny only affect things that are tcpwrappered, but what does this mean in practice? It seems that most people use hosts.allow to handle ssh and nfs blocking, but what other services are typically handled there? And what services AREN'T typically handled there? Edit: ok, I realize I did a terrible job of explaining what I was after. No, I'm not interested in knowing if a particular service can be handled by hosts.allow, I want to know if a service will be handled. For example, if I do an lsof -i, I get a nice list of things that are listening for connections to my box. I want to know which ones will be affected if I go stick an entry into hosts.allow (well, I really want to know which ones won't be affected).

  • Is there a mousegestures add-on for Google Chrome?

    With the release of chrome 3.0 I am again considering switching to chrome as my default browser. The only thing stopping me, and it has been stopping me since chrome 1 came out, is the lack of the mousegestures add-on that i have in firefox. Mouse Gestures have become so routine for me that I simply can't use another browser that doesn't have them. There are ways to kinda emulate mouse gestures using 3rd party programs like gmote but they are not the same and not quite as good. I know that chrome developer has add-ins but I havent been able to find a mouse-gestures one. I'm fairly confident that many people want one. So, does a mousegestures add-on exist for chrome? bonus points if there is a firebug/xmarks add-in as well! thanks.

  • Issue with Reporting Services - rsreportserver.config is denied

    Error message is 'd:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config' is denied.' I open SSRS configuration and I do see the service as started and running. I gave Network Services the necessary permissions in the reportserver folder and config file. SQL Server and SSRS are using LocalSystem as the 'Log On As' in Sql server configuration manager. Most of my sites I googled seem only relevant when it's Network Service running. I changed it to log on as NT Autority\NetworkService but still had the same issue. In SSRS Config Manager, I see that Web Service Identity is not configured (red), though it is showing as readonly domain\aspnet. Windows Server 2003 R2 and SSRS 2005

  • Google Chrome on Mac OS X, full screen option is greyed out, why?

    When I first installed Chrome the menu option for "full screen" was enabled and worked, but for the last few months is been greyed out/disabled. Is it just me or perhaps there is a bug which is why its disabled? I tried deleting the installed version and downloading a new copy, to no avail - but perhaps there is a setting in my local preferences that could be disabling it. Thanks in advance, Chris

    I really need help with configuring Active Directory Domain Services on a remote VPS. Situation we have a remote Windows Server 2008R2 VPS and i just installed the Active Directory Domain Services Role. A DNS Server was also configured by default at the end of the Active Directory installation. Problem I can't get my Windows 7 machine to register itself to the domain i have just created Question What are the steps i have to take to test my Active Directory configuration, and how do i connect clients to this Domain?
