  • Is there a javascript library that contains a rich set of very high level commonly used functions?

    I find that many high level functions are missing in most well-known javascript libraries such as jquery, YUI...etc. Taking string manipulation as an example, startsWith, endsWith, contains, lTrim, rTrim, trim, isNullOrEmpty...etc. These function are actually very common ones. I would like to know if there exists a javascript library/ plugin of a javascript library that fills these gaps (including but not limited to string manipulation)? It would be great if the library does not override the prototype.

  • Interpreting w3wp.exe thread-infos, does mscorwks.dll!StrongNameErrorInfo+0x7688 has a negative impa

    I am trying to interpret the meaning of "mscorwks.dll!StrongNameErrorInfo+0x7688". I guess it means, that the assembly loaded by the mscorworks.dll has no StrongName? If yes, does this have any negative impact for a web application? Is it safe to assume that the thread count of 107 means, that web application has needed a maximum of 107 concurrent threads to handle incoming requests?

    Hi I just opened up a project I done in MVC a while back, fired right up I looked at in the browser and now all the sudden it just wont find the [HttpPost] & [HttpPostAttribute]. What can be the problem? errormessage The type or namespace name 'HttpPost' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

  • WPF: ContentPresenter changing Foreground unexpectedly depending on where styles are located

    Hi, I'm having an issue with the ContentPresenter behaving unexpectedly based on whether the styles are located in the Window.Resources or in a ResourceDictionary. Specifically, I'm setting the Foreground of the default TextBlock to Black, then setting the Foreground value in my default button style to White.   • Build failing - VS2010 solution on TFS2008

    I have migrated a VS2008 ASP.NET MVC solution to VS2010/MVC2/.NET 4.0 The solution builds locally and all unit tests pass. Our TFS server is still TFS2008 and I am having problems getting the CI build to pass. The projects all build successfully, the unit tests all run and pass but the Running Tests item fails. I followed this blog post on how to get the build working and I'm almost there. Combing the log file for failures I have found the following: Test Run Completed.     Does anyone know how best to determine the specific underlying cause of this exception? Consider a WCF service that is supposed to use Powershell 2.0 remoting to execute MSBuild on remote machines. In both cases the scripting environments are being called in-process (via C# for Powershell and via Powershell for MSBuild), rather than 'shelling-out' - this was a specific design decision to avoid command-line hell as well as to enable passing actual objects into the Powershell script.     Hi, I have a main form which contains multiple worker threads. These threads raise events which update Telerik controls on the main form. The event handlers contain code which check if InvokeRequired and BeginInvoke where required. At random interval I am receiving the following exception, and have no idea on how where to find this?   • What might cause this ExecutionEngineException?

    I am trying to use Reflection.Emit to generate a wrapper class in a dynamic assembly. Automatic wrapper generation is part of a new open-source library I'm writing called "GoInterfaces". The wrapper class implements IEnumerable<string> and wraps List<string>. In C# terms, all it does is this: class List1_7931B0B4_79328AA0 : IEnumerable<string> { private readonly List<string> _obj; public List1_7931B0B4_79328AA0(List<string> obj) { this._obj = obj; } IEnumerator IEnumerable.GetEnumerator() { return this._obj.GetEnumerator(); } public sealed IEnumerator<string> GetEnumerator() { return this._obj.GetEnumerator(); } } However, when I try to call the GetEnumerator() method on my wrapper class, I get ExecutionEngineException. So I saved my dynamic assembly to a DLL and used ildasm on it. I have a test suite that wraps all sorts of different things, including interfaces derived from other interfaces, and multiple interface methods with identical signatures.   • Why is IE8 rendering superfish menu wrong?

    I am useing the superfish jquery plugin If you view the superfish menu here: clicky the drop-downs show correctly (above the main content) in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE6, IE7 But for some reason they fall behind the main content in IE8. I already set the z-index for the superfish menu which IE7 wasnt working right until I did so, but it didn't fix IE8. Am I missing something?

  • How can I load style resources from a dynamically loaded Silverlight application (XAP)?

    I've followed Tim Heuer's video for dynamically loading other XAP's (into a 'master' Silverlight application), as well as some other links to tweak the loading of resources and am stuck on the particular issue of loading style resources from within the dynamically loaded XAP (i.e. the contents of Assets\Styles.xaml). When I run the master/hosting applcation, it successfully streams the dynamic XAP and I can read the deployment info etc. and load the assembly parts. However, when I actuall try to create an instance of a form from the Dynamic XAP, it fails with Cannot find a Resource with the Name/Key LayoutRootGridStyle which is in it's Assets\Styles.xaml file (it works if I run it directly so I know it's OK). For some reason these don't show up as application resources - not sure if I've totally got the wrong end of the stick, or am just missing something?     Hiya I've read on the net that there is the flex component kit for flash that allows me to convert flash symbol to flex component or container. I tried installing Flex_Skins_12_05.mxp that suppose to enable these features in flash cs4 but under the commands tab i can't see any commands related to flex conversion. can someone please forward me to the appropriate plugin to install in flash cs4 in order to convert it's symbols to be usable with flex ? thanks

I am creating a DataGenerationPlan to insert data into a simple table, in which one of the column datatypes is XML.   • Jquery autocomplete Items not clickable in mobile safari

In the browser the hovers and click events work for this but in mobile safari if I click it highlights the entire results containing div. Do I need to create seperate event listeners for the iphone?   • Eclipse doesn’t recognize style in the Android Layout builder?

    Since Android supports styles and it's good practice to use them (similar to CSS), I made a new style and applied it to 3 buttons. The Layout builder in Eclipse did not register the changes and either broke (showed nothing) or didn't apply styles at all. After running the app in the emulator, styles are correctly applied. So is there something I'm missing or the Android plugin doesn't support styles?
