  Jquery Each Json Values Issue This question is similar to above, but not the same before it gets marked duplicated. After realasing how to use computed values i came across another issue. In my javascript i have the following code: var incidentWizard = ['page1.html','page2.html','page3.html']; var magicWizard = ['page1.html','page2.html','page3.html']; var loadedURL = 'page1.html'; The input to this function would be (true,'incident') function(next,wizardname) { var WizSize = incidentWizard.length; wizardName = [wizardName] + 'Wizard'; var wizardPOS = jQuery.inArray(loadedURL,incidentWizard); And now i want to use the wizardname parameter to decide what array i am going to use... Loader(incidentWizard[wizardPOS],true); Ive also tried Loader([incidentWizard][wizardPOS],true); and Loader([incidentWizard][wizardPOS],true); Also the loader function just required the string value in the array at wizardPOS sorry for confusion But when trying this i always end up with the outcome... /incidentWizard I know this is something to do with using computed values but i've tried reading about them and cant seem to solve this issue. Basicly i want to use the computed value of wizardName to access an an array of that name. Please help supports, looking forward to seeing many ways to do this!

• Drupal 6 Validation for Form Callback Function

  I have a simple form with a select menu on the node display page. Is there an easy way to validate the form in my callback function? By validation I don't mean anything advanced, just to check that the values actually existed in the form array. For example, without ajax, if my select menu has 3 items and I add a 4th item and try to submit the form, drupal will give an error saying something similar to "an illegal choice was made, please contact the admin." With ajax this 4th item you created would get saved into the database. So do I have to write validation like if ($select_item > 0 && $select_item <= 3) { //insert into db } Or is there an easier way that will check that the item actually existed in the form array? I'm hoping there is since without ajax, drupal will not submit the form if it was manipulated. Thanks. • Codeigniter Inputting session data from model for a simple authentication system

  Trying to put together a simple login authentication. Been at this for quite sometime, and I can't find where I'm going wrong. Pretty new to Codeigniter and OOP PHP. I know there are authentication libraries out there, but I'm not interested in using those. So the problem seems to be that the $data array in the model isn't being stored in the session.

  Hi, I'm creating a library component for other developers on my team using PHP and Zend. This component needs to be able to take as input a date (string) and another string telling it the format of that date. Looking through the Zend documentation and examples, I thought I found the solution - $dateObject = Zend_Date('13.04.2006', array('date_format' => 'dd.MM.yyyy')); this line, however, throws an error - call to undefined function. So instead I tried this - $dt = Zend_Locale_Format::getDate('13.04.2006', array('date_format' => 'dd.MM.yyyy')); This gets the job done, but throws an error if a date that is entered isn't valid. The docs make it look like you can use the isDate() function to check validity - Zend_Date::isDate('13.04.2006', array('date_format' => 'dd.MM.yyyy')) but this line always returns false. So my questions - Am I going about this the right way? If not, is there a better way to handle this via Zend or straight PHP? If I do use Zend_Locale_Format::getDate(), do I need to worry about a locale being set elsewhere and changing the results of the call? I'm locked into PHP 5.2.6 on windows, btw... so 5.3+ functions & strptime() are out.

• How can I optimize this loop?

  I've got a piece of code that returns a super-long string that represents "search results". Each result is represented by a double HTML break symbol. For example: Result1<br><br>Result 2<br><br>Result3 I've got the following loop that takes each result and puts it into an array, stripping out the break indicator, "kBreakIndicator" (<br><br>). The problem is that this lopp takes way too long to execute. With a few results it's fine, but once you hit a hundred results, it's about 20-30 seconds slower. It's unacceptable performance. What can I do to improve performance? Here's my code: content is the original NSString. • Require reasonably random results from an SQL SELECT query within a Joomla article (Cache enabled)

  Setup: Joomla website on LAMP stack I have a MySQL table containing some records, these are queried by a simple SELECT on the Joomla article, as pasted below. This specific Joomla website has Caching turned on in Joomla's Global Configuration. I need to randomize the order in which I display the resultset, each time the page is loaded. Regular php/mysql would offer me two approaches for this: 1. use 'order by RAND()' or any of a number of methods to allow a SELECT query to return reasonably random results. 2. once php gets the result from the SELECT into an array, shuffle the array to get a reasonably random order of array items. However, as this Joomla instance has Caching turned ON in its Global Configuration, either of the above approaches fails. The first time I load the page the order is randomized, however any further reloads do not cause the order to change, as the page is delivered from cache. The instant the Cache is disabled, both approaches (shuffle/order by rand) work perfectly. What am I missing? How do I override the Global Cache for this specific article? A very simple requirement, that is met by both php and mysql reasonably well, is blocked by the Joomla Cache that I cannot turn off. • Get category count for a category where only the child categories have products

  I'm having problems getting a count for a category collection that will include products in any of that categories children. However I don't want just a full count I want to filter that count by a product collection (so only include products in the count that appear in the product collection)... Any suggestions?   I have four arrays that are coming in from the client. Let's say that there is an array of names, birth dates, favorite color and location. The idea is I want a hash later where each name will have a hash with respective attributes: Example date coming from the client: [name0, name1, name2, name3] [loc0, loc1] [favcololor0, favcolor1] [bd0, bd1, bd2, bd3, bd4, bd5] Output I'd like to achieve: name0 => { location => loc0, favcolor => favcolor0, bd => bd0 } name1 => { location => loc1, favcolor => favcolor1, bd => bd1 } name2 => { location => nil, favcolor => nil, bd => bd2 } name3 => { location => nil, favcolor => nil, bd => bd3 } I want to have an array at the end of the day where I can iterate and work on each particular person hash. There need not be an equivalent number of values in each array. Meaning, names are required.. and I might receive 5 of them, but I only might receive 3 birth dates, 2 favorite colors and 1 location. Every missing value will result in a nil. How does one make that kind of data structure with Ruby 1.9?

Sharing cookie, sharing session, one time token, associative accounts, etc, etc. (BTW, any good article compare them?) Is there any keyword I should google and reuse before before I start to implement our own wheel. I know OpenID, but which is too much and it is not our need. We rather keep it KISS.   Greetings, I am getting a very weird and unpredictable result in firefox when using the following syntax: $this->Html->link($this->Html->div('p-cpt',$project['Project']['name']) . $this->Html->div('p-img',$this->Html->image('/img/projects/'.$project['Project']['slug'].'/project.thumb.jpg', array('alt'=>$project['Project']['name'],'width'=>100,'height'=>380))),array('controller' => 'projects', 'action' => 'view', $project['Project']['slug']),array('title' => $project['Project']['name'], 'escape' => false),false); OK I know it is big but bear with me. The point is to get the following output: <a href="x" title="x"> <div class="p-ctp">Name</div> <div class="p-img"><img src="z width="y" height="a" alt="d" /></div> </a> I'm not sure if this validates correctly both on cakephp and html but it works everywhere else apart from firefox. At some point it will happen!! Although most of the time it renders the way it should, sometimes it produces an invalid output like that: <a href="x" title="x"></a> <div class="p-cpt"> <a href="x" title="x">name</a> </div> <div class="p-img"> <a href="x" title="x"><img src="x" width="x" height="x" alt="x" /></a> </div> Looks like it repeats the link inside each element. To be honest the only reason I used this syntax was because cakephp encourages it. Any help will be much appreciated :)

• Java: Comparing a class with another within that class using a my own .equals

  I am making a method .equals replacing the equals method used. It accepts a object. I want it to check if that object equals the class that runs the .equals class. I know I want to compare all the private methods I have to that object. Is there a way to do this without making another private class to get the private variables from the object? How do I do this to compare equality not identity? I am stuck on this. Do i have to use == to compare? Also looking online i see others use recursion. If this is the way i have to do it can you show and explain it to me? so an example i have public boolean equals(Object o) { this is in a class we will call bobtheBuilder (first thing to pop in my head) I want to check if the object o is equal to the class he has private object array and a private int. I assume I want to check if the array and int of this class equal the array and int of the object.

• Problem with reading and writing to binary file in C++

  I need to make a file that contains "name" which is a string -array of char- and "data" which is array of bytes -array of char in C++- but the first problem I faced is how to separate the "name" from the "data"? newline character could work in this case (assuming that I don't have "\n" in the name) but I could have special characters in the "data" part so there's no way to know when it ends so I'm putting an int value in the file before the data which has the size of the "data"! I tried to do this with code as follow: if((fp = fopen("file.bin","wb")) == NULL) { return false; } char buffer[] = "first data\n"; fwrite( buffer ,1,sizeof(buffer),fp ); int number[1]; number[0]=10; fwrite( number ,1,1, fp ); char data[] = "1234567890"; fwrite( data , 1, number[0], fp ); fclose(fp); but I didn't know if the "int" part was right, so I tried many other codes including this one: char buffer[] = "first data\n"; fwrite( buffer ,1,sizeof(buffer),fp ); int size=10; fwrite( &size ,sizeof size,1, fp ); char data[] = "1234567890"; fwrite( data , 1, number[0], fp ); I see 4 "NULL" characters in the file when I open it instead of seeing an integer. Is that normal? The other problem I'm facing is reading that again from the file! The code I tried to read didn't work at all :( I tried it with "fread" but I'm not sure if I should use "fseek" with it or it just read the other character after it. Forgive me but I'm a beginner :(

• Extra NotifyIcon shown in system tray

  I'm having an issue with an app where my NotifyIcon displays an extra icon. The steps to reproduce it are easy, but the problem is that the extra icon shows up after any of the actual codebehind we've added fires. Put simply, clicking a button triggers execution of method FooBar() which runs all the way through fine but its primary duty is to fire a backgroundworker to log into another of our apps. It only appears if this particular button is clicked. Strangely enough, we have a WndProc method override and if I step through until the extra NotifyIcon appears, it always appears during this method so something else beyond the codebehind must be triggering the behavior. • What data stucture should I use for BigInt class

  I would like to implement a BigInt class which will be able to handle really big numbers. I want only to add and multiply numbers, however the class should also handle negative numbers. I wanted to represent the number as a string, but there is a big overhead with converting string to int and back for adding. I want to implement addition as on the high school, add corresponding order and if the result is bigger than 10, add the carry to next order. Then I thought that it would be better to handle it as a array of unsigned long long int and keep the sign separated by bool. With this I'm afraid of size of the int, as C++ standard as far as I know guarantees only that int < float < double. Correct me if I'm wrong. So when I reach some number I should move in array forward and start adding number to the next array position. Is there any data structure that is appropriate or better for this? Thanks in advance.

  Can someone please help me with this one: When using UISortables where - and how do I put "serialize" into the JQuery function? I have 4 columns class '.columm' and each wit a unique id - col1,col2,col3 & col4. I can get the drag & drop bit to work I now need to put the "final" positions into a serialized array. I have done this to see if I can get the col id's into an alert and I can, but where do i put .sortable( "serialize" , [options] ) and how do I do that for the 4 columns to create 1 single serialized array? having done that how/where do you set the order when you next load the page?
