  • Django-pyodbc SQL Server/freetds server connection problems on linux

    - by wizard
Error: ('IM002', '[IM002] [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified (0) (SQLDriverConnectW)') I'm migrating from developing on a windows development machine to Linux machine in production and I'm having issues with the freetds driver. As far as I can tell that error message means it can't find the driver. I can connect via the cli via sqsh and tsql. I've setup my settings.py as such. 'bc2db': { 'ENGINE': 'sql_server.pyodbc', 'NAME': 'DataTEST', 'USER': 'appuser', 'PASSWORD': 'PASS', 'HOST': 'bc2.domain.com', 'options': { 'driver': 'FreeTDS', } }, Does anyone have any SQL Server experience with django? do I have to use a dns? (how would I format that?)

  • Dojo: drag and drop Stop Drag

    - by Jose L Martinez-Avial
Hi, I'm trying to use Dojo dnd Source(1.4.2) to create an interface where I can move some objects from a Source to a Target. It is working fine, but I want to change the behaviour in order to execute a check before actually doing the D&D, so if the check fails, an error message is shown to the user, and the D&D is not made. I've tried the following example I found in a blog: dojo.subscribe("/dnd/drop", function(source, nodes, iscopy) { if (nodes[0].id == 'docs_menu'){ dojo.publish("/dnd/cancel"); dojo.dnd.manager().stopDrag(); alert("Drop is not permitted"); } } ); But it fails saying that this.avatar is null. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks. Jose

  • web.config, configSource, and "The 'xxx' element is not declared" warning.

    - by UpTheCreek
I have broken down the horribly unwieldy web.config file into individual files for some of the sections (e.g. connectionStrings, authentication, pages etc.) using the configSource attribute. This is working file, but the individual xml files that hold the section 'snippets' cause warnings in VS. For example, a file named roleManager.config is used for the role manager section, and looks like this: <roleManager enabled="false"> </rolemanager> However I get a blue squiggle under the roleManager element in VS, and the following warning: The 'roleManager' element is not declared I guess this is something to do with valid xml and schemas etc. Is there an easy way to fix this? Something I can add to the individual files? Thanks P.S. I have heard that it is bad practice to break the web.config file out like this. But don't really understand why - can anyone illuminate me?

  • SharePoint 2007 Central Admin w3wp.exe process consumin 99% CPU

    - by Matrich
Hi, I have been running an intranet using SharePoint 2007 for over a year and all has been working fine. However, after some time, I realized that the intranet portal was slow. Trying to access the Central Admin over another computer not the SharePoint server also became an issue. So I logged onto the real SharePoint Server and it took some ages to login and then was so slow even on the server unlike other times. When I checked the Task Manager, I found out that w3wp.exe was consuming 99% of the CPU speed. When I restarted the Central Admin App Pool, everything came back to normal and all was running well but after a few minutes (15 or so), it again became slow. I have checked the Event Logs and nothing conclusive was there to help me out. Anyone who has had this experience? or has any good resource? Please help. Thanks in advance

    - by user70909
Hi, i have a form where i have the field "Real Cost" i want to customize its appearance and wither it should be validated based on user role. to be more clear is say the client want to show his field in the form or details page and also make it editable for users in Roles "Senior Sales, Manager" but not other roles, so can anyone please guide me of the best way ? should i write custom required validation based on user in role, and if so can you please provide the right implementation of it? some may tell me create custom model for this, but i think it would be hassle plus the Roles will be dynamic so it is not predefined set of roles. i hope i was clear enough

  • How to connect to local MQseries queue using Python?

    - by Michal Niklas
I am new to mqseries and I started with IBM WebSphere MQ curses. There are examples with MQ_APPLE and MQ_ORANGE queue managers. I have no problem with sending messages to local or remote queue with MQ Explorer, but I wanted to send such message from code: Python or Java. I tried Python pymqi library with code like this: import pymqi qmgr = pymqi.QueueManager(None) qmgr.connect('QM_APPLE') putq = pymqi.Queue(qmgr, 'Q1') putq.put('Hello from Python!') but I receive error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "mq_put.py", line 4, in <module> qmgr.connect('QM_APPLE') File "c:\Python26\lib\site-packages\pymqi.py", line 758, in connect raise MQMIError(rv[1], rv[2]) pymqi.MQMIError: MQI Error. Comp: 2, Reason 2540: FAILED: MQRC_UNKNOWN_CHANNEL_NAME There is QM_APPLE queue manager with Q1 local queue. What is wrong with my code?

  • Chrome plugin process - npapi plugin

    - by kambamsu
Hi, I'm writing an npapi plugin in Qt. My plugin works perfectly on firefox and opera. The problem in chrome i guess is regarding the "process-per-plugin" setup. What happens is, when i first open a page, the plugin is injected and all works as per expected. But when i navigate from that page to another one, in the new page, the plugin seems to get injected but even its constructor isnt called. To examine the issue, I tried killing my plugin process via the chrome task manager before i navigate to the new page. When i do this, the plugin works as expected in the 2nd page too. I'm unable to comprehend what is happening here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Repeater and add columns to header and itemtemplate on page load

    - by sdmiller
I haven't used repeaters for much more than showing data from a datatable. I am building a grid that that shows a list of users and columns of roles that the user has been assigned, shown with checkboxes (shown with true/false below but pretent they are checkboxes). ex. |Rep Name|Caller|Closer|Manager|SuperUser| |Bob |True |true | false | false | |Tom |false |false |True | True | Basically using it for roles management. However the roles may change later on so I want to load the roles(headers and items) dynamically into the repeater. I am not sure how to do this or if it is even possible. I figure you grab a list of current role possibilities and load them into the headertemplate but I am not sure how to match those with the itemtemplate and how to create checkboxes and place them in the itemtemplate. Sorry if it is a rudementary question.... I appreciate any advice!

  • Get corresponding physical disk drives of mountpoints with WMI queries?

    - by Thomas
Is there a way to retrieve a connection between a mountpoint (a volume which is mounted into the file system instead of mounted to a drive letter) and its belonging physical disk drive(s) with WMI? For example I have got a volume mountpoint on a W2K8 server which is mounted to “C:\Data\” and the mountpoint is spreaded on the physical disk drives 2, 4, and 5 of the server (the Data Management of the Server Manager shows that) but I cannot find a way to get this to know by using WMI. Volumes which have got a drive letter can be connected with the WMI-Classes Win32_DiskDrive -- Win32_DiskDriveToDiskPartition -- Win32_DiskPartition -- Win32_LogicalDiskToPartition -- Win32_LogicalDisk – but the problem is, that volume mountpoints aren’t listed in the class Win32_LogicalDisk, they are only listed in Win32_Volume. And I did not find a way to connect the class Win32_Volume with the class Win32_DiskDrive – there are missing some linking classes. Does anyone know a solution?

I have an App which launches the google Map App. The code is: UIApplication *app = [UIApplication sharedApplication]; [app openURL:[[NSURL alloc] initWithString: @"http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Obere+Laube,+Konstanz,+Germany&saddr="]]; The saddr= should be the current location. I get the current location with -(void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didUpdateToLocation:(CLLocation *)newLocation fromLocation:(CLLocation *)oldLocation { NSLog(@"%f,%f", [newLocation coordinate]); The Log displays the correct coordinates like 2010-04-05 15:33:25.436 deBordeaux[60657:207] 37.331689,-122.030731 I didn't find the right way to transmit the coordinates to the url-string. • Spring security custom principal bean

    - by wuntee
I have a web application that is set up to use the default ldap server/authentication manager/authentication provider/user service. I have another DAO that already does majority of the work that those do (besides the authenticating a user) using Spring-LDAP. My problem is that I want the principal to be of my own custom bean class. What is the simplest way to do this? Initially I was thinking to create a custom authentication provider, but since the default one does exactly what I want, there doesnt seem to be a need. I am thinking I just need to override whatever object actually returns the Principal bean. Is this possible, and able to be injected into the security ldap authenticator context?

  • MS SQL Bridge Table Constraints

    - by greg
Greetings - I have a table of Articles and a table of Categories. An Article can be used in many Categories, so I have created a table of ArticleCategories like this: BridgeID int (PK) ArticleID int CategoryID int Now, I want to create constraints/relationships such that the ArticleID-CategoryID combinations are unique AND that the IDs must exist in the respective primary key tables (Articles and Categories). I have tried using both VS2008 Server Explorer and Enterprise Manager (SQL-2005) to create the FK relationships, but the results always prevent Duplicate ArticleIDs in the bridge table, even though the CategoryID is different. I am pretty sure I am doing something obviously wrong, but I appear to have a mental block at this point. Can anyone tell me please how should this be done? Greaty appreciated!

  • Javascript onbeforeunload Issue

    - by Nik
    Alright, I have an issue with the following code. What happens is when a user closes their browser, it should prompt them to either click OK or click CANCEL to leave the page. Clicking OK would trigger a window.location to redirect to another page for user tracking (and yes, to avoid flame wars, there is a secondary system in place to assure accurate tracking, in the event of the user killing the browser from the task manager (as mentioned in similar questions)). CANCEL would remain on the page, the issue being that no matter what button you hit, you get redirected as if you wanted to leave the page. The relevant code is below. window.onbeforeunload = confirmExit; function confirmExit() { var where_to = confirm("Click OK to exit, Click CANCEL to stay."); if (where_to == true) { window.location="logout.php"; } if (where_to == false){ alert("Returning..."); } }

  • What is better: set up underestimated or overestimated deadlines?

    - by sergdev
Suppose you are a project manager. You can estimate an effort in days for specific task for specific developer. After performing estimation you obtain some min and max values. After this you delegate a task to developer. Actually you also set up deadline. Which estimation is better to use when set up deadline: min or max? As I see min estimation can result in stress for developer, max estimation can result in using all the time which is allocated to developer even if task can be complete faster (so called Student syndrome). Which other pros and cons of two approaches? Small clarification: I speak about setting up deadlines for subordinates when delegating the task, NOT for reporting to my boss.

  • Spring MVC annotation config problem

    - by Seth
    I'm trying to improve my spring mvc configuration so as to not require a new config file for every servlet I add, but I'm running into problems. I've tried using this tutorial as a starting point, but I'm running into an issue that I can't figure out. The problem is that when I do a GET to my servlet, I get back a 404 error. Here's my config and a representative java snippet from a Controller: web.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app version="2.5" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"> <display-name>SightLogix Coordination System</display-name> <description>SightLogix Coordination System</description> <servlet> <servlet-name>Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value> /WEB-INF/application-context.xml /WEB-INF/application-security.xml </param-value> </init-param> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/slcs/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> <context-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value> /WEB-INF/application-context.xml /WEB-INF/application-security.xml </param-value> </context-param> <listener> <listener-class> org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener </listener-class> </listener> <filter> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <filter-class>org.springframework.web.filter.DelegatingFilterProxy</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> </web-app> application-context.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:mvc="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xsi:schemaLocation=" http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc/spring-mvc-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd" default-init-method="init" default-destroy-method="destroy"> <mvc:annotation-driven /> <context:component-scan base-package="top.level" /> </beans> application-security.xml: <beans:beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/security" xmlns:beans="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/security http://www.springframework.org/schema/security/spring-security-3.0.xsd"> <http> <intercept-url pattern="/**" access="ROLE_MANAGER" requires-channel="https" /> <http-basic /> </http> <authentication-manager> <authentication-provider user-service-ref="myUserDetailsService"> <password-encoder hash="sha"/> </authentication-provider> </authentication-manager> <beans:bean id="myUserDetailsService" class="path.to.my.UserDetailsServiceImpl"> </beans:bean> </beans:beans> Snippet of a Controller class (one of many, but they all look essentially like this): @Controller @RequestMapping("/foo.xml") public class FooController { @RequestMapping(method=RequestMethod.GET) public void handleGET(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws IOException { ... • USB Serial cable with CDC support

    - by Harsha
Hi All, I bought a USB to Serial cable which claims to be CDC compliant. But the bInterfaceClass value in interface descriptor is 0xFF(which is vendor specific). I was expecting it to be 0x02 (Communications and CDC control). In the device manager, i found that the drivers being loaded are ser2pl.sys and serenum.sys. I had learnt usbser.sys is the windows CDC driver, but it was not loaded for my cable. I am pretty much new to this CDC, so i have following questions 1.Does this indicate that the cable is not CDC compliant 2.Can i make this cable CDC compliant (since CDC is a driver functionality), by loading usbser.sys. If yes how?

  • Does Blogging affect Job Prospects?

    - by BM
Would a hiring manager at a small-to-medium consulting firm/corporation consider active blogging by a candidate about Programming/software/technology as a positive? Should the candidate disclose this information during the interviews or put it on the resume? Thanks for the answers, So far the views about this topic has been.. Don't mention the blog if it is not relevant to the job. Mention the blog, if you believe your blog has quality content. Potential risk of not being accepted by culture of the employer's workplace. Could be a valuable for consultants to publish & preview their skills and experience. Certain Employers may consider blogging of a candidate a plus. Be careful what you post on the blog,no badmouthing, rants and overt criticism of others. Do not lie about blogging,if directly asked during the interview.

  • Ivy and Snapshots (Nexus)

    - by Uberpuppy
    Hey folks, I'm using ant, ivy and nexus repo manager to build and store my artifacts. I managed to get everything working: dependency resolution and publishing. Until I hit a problem... (of course!). I was publishing to a 'release' repo in nexus, which is locked to 'disable redeploy' (even if you change the setting to 'allow redeploy' (really lame UI there imo). You can imagine how pissed off I was getting when my changes weren't updating through the repo before I realised that this was happening. Anyway, I now have to switch everything to use a 'Snapshot' repo in nexus. Problem is that this messes up my publish. I've tried a variety of things, including extensive googling, and haven't got anywhere whatsoever. The error I get is a bad PUT request, error code 400. Can someone who has got this working please give me a pointer on what I'm missing. Many thanks, Alastair fyi, here's my config: Note that I have removed any attempts at getting snapshots to work as I didn't know what was actually (potentially) useful and what was complete guff. This is therefore the working release-only setup. Also, please note that I've added the XXX-API ivy.xml for info only. I can't even get the xxx-common to publish (and that doesn't even have dependencies). Ant task: <target name="publish" depends="init-publish"> <property name="project.generated.ivy.file" value="${project.artifact.dir}/ivy.xml"/> <property name="project.pom.file" value="${project.artifact.dir}/${project.handle}.pom"/> <echo message="Artifact dir: ${project.artifact.dir}"/> <ivy:deliver deliverpattern="${project.generated.ivy.file}" organisation="${project.organisation}" module="${project.artifact}" status="integration" revision="${project.revision}" pubrevision="${project.revision}" /> <ivy:resolve /> <ivy:makepom ivyfile="${project.generated.ivy.file}" pomfile="${project.pom.file}"/> <ivy:publish resolver="${ivy.omnicache.publisher}" module="${project.artifact}" organisation="${project.organisation}" revision="${project.revision}" pubrevision="${project.revision}" pubdate="now" overwrite="true" publishivy="true" status="integration" artifactspattern="${project.artifact.dir}/[artifact]-[revision](-[classifier]).[ext]" /> </target> Couple of ivy files to give an idea of internal dependencies: XXX-Common project: <ivy-module version="2.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://ant.apache.org/ivy/schemas/ivy.xsd"> <info organisation="com.myorg.xxx" module="xxx_common" status="integration" revision="1.0"> </info> <publications> <artifact name="xxx_common" type="jar" ext="jar"/> <artifact name="xxx_common" type="pom" ext="pom"/> </publications> <dependencies> </dependencies> </ivy-module> XXX-API project: <ivy-module version="2.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://ant.apache.org/ivy/schemas/ivy.xsd"> <info organisation="com.myorg.xxx" module="xxx_api" status="integration" revision="1.0"> </info> <publications> <artifact name="xxx_api" type="jar" ext="jar"/> <artifact name="xxx_api" type="pom" ext="pom"/> </publications> <dependencies> <dependency org="com.myorg.xxx" name="xxx_common" rev="1.0" transitive="true" /> </dependencies> </ivy-module> IVY Settings.xml: <ivysettings> <properties file="${ivy.project.dir}/project.properties" /> <settings defaultResolver="chain" defaultConflictManager="all" /> <credentials host="${ivy.credentials.host}" realm="Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager" username="${ivy.credentials.username}" passwd="${ivy.credentials.passwd}" /> <caches> <cache name="ivy.cache" basedir="${ivy.cache.dir}" /> </caches> <resolvers> <ibiblio name="xxx_publisher" m2compatible="true" root="${ivy.xxx.publish.url}" /> <chain name="chain"> <url name="xxx"> <ivy pattern="${ivy.xxx.repo.url}/com/myorg/xxx/[module]/[revision]/ivy-[revision].xml" /> <artifact pattern="${ivy.xxx.repo.url}/com/myorg/xxx/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" /> </url> <ibiblio name="xxx" m2compatible="true" root="${ivy.xxx.repo.url}"/> <ibiblio name="public" m2compatible="true" root="${ivy.master.repo.url}" /> <url name="com.springsource.repository.bundles.release"> <ivy pattern="http://repository.springsource.com/ivy/bundles/release/[organisation]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" /> <artifact pattern="http://repository.springsource.com/ivy/bundles/release/[organisation]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" /> </url> <url name="com.springsource.repository.bundles.external"> <ivy pattern="http://repository.springsource.com/ivy/bundles/external/[organisation]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" /> <artifact pattern="http://repository.springsource.com/ivy/bundles/external/[organisation]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" /> </url> </chain> </resolvers> </ivysettings>
