  • I have no sound in my Media players

    I have Windows Professional x64 with two sound cards. for many months these cards (and the all sound system) was working fine. Suddenly my System (my PC) stops having sound. from WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYERS and for any other media players The default sounds from windows are working fine but I don't have sounds from media players. Also I open the "Sounds And Audio Device Properties" and in "Volume"Tab I press "Advance". There I receive an error "DirectSoundSetting not available". I have already Uninstall and re install my sound cards... But Nothing. Did anyone knows where the problem is?

  • Unable to delete a directory from NTFS drive: "Access is denied"

    I'm running Windows XP Pro x64 SP2. I have a directory on an NTFS drive that was created by a Maven build. A subsequent build attempted to delete this directory and failed. I now get the error "Access is denied" whenever I try to do anything with that directory: change to it, delete it, rename it. This happens both in Windows Explorer and from a command prompt. The properties dialog in Windows Explorer doesn't even contain the Security tab. I created the directory, so I don't think this is truly a permissions issue. I've occasionally had this error happen in the past is well. I believe the error is misleading, but the question is: what is the real problem and how do I fix it?

  • Is there a way to disable beeps in chm browser and what's causing them?

    When browsing a .chm file, in search tab, when I click on each result I get a beep. I don't think there should be a beep every time I click on a search result. In any case, I'd like to just disable them. I know there is a way to disable the beeps system-wide, but I don't require that. It's not the "Start navigation" sound like used in Internet Explorer. This is truly a beep, like the one resulting when the pc is not responding, and one keeps pressing various keys on the keyboard, with each key press generating a beep. Besides, I have the windows "no sounds" scheme, meaning there shouldn't be event driven sounds.

I want to checkout the complete project along with the folder heirarchy into my working directory . currently if i select the project and do a checkout , it just dumps all the file into my working folder without any heirarchy .   • SVN tags: How not to update/checkout them?

    In many projects, I check out the complete repository and have then the standard directory structure: project/ branches/ tags/ trunk/ If I do an svn up project, it's all fine with the branches and trunk folders, but, of course, the tags folder is updated, too, and filled with (mostly) lots of tagged versions that are of no value for my work and only occupy disk space. How can I except the tags folder from an svn update? Especially, how can I do this locally only, that is, without committing that back to the repository, as a solution with the svn:ignore keyword would do?

  • Exchange 2010 Prevent Authenticated Users From Sending Email From Any Address

    I have recently been combating an SMTP AUTH attack in which one of my email accounts had been compromised and was being used to solicit spam. I have been able to identify the account and change the password however I would like to further restrict my exchange server. By default exchange 2010 allows for any authenticated user to specify any email address as the MAIL FROM address and it will accept it. Is there any way to restrict this so that only the authenticated account's email address will be able to be used as the MAIL FROM address? I have been looking through all ADPermissions for the SMTP connector however I can't find any documentation on how to accomplish this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.     I'm looking for an application that can manage (save/open) multiple Internet Explorer instances (to be precise nomerge sessions), host them in single window and arrange these instances e.g. in tabs, so in result you have double tab bar. In functionality it's similar to Remote Desktop Manager, where you can create Web session, but in embedded mode you cannot set the nomerge option. I've been searching the web, but with no results. So I put this question whether anyone know of such application or workaround. Or I have to write my own app.

    When I have an open code file in Visual Studio that I am editing I would like to keep that same file highlighted inside of the solution Explorer so that I know where I am at. What I'd really like is to change the focus to a different code file and the solution explorer to move to the file that I am editing. Further Explanation and example: I have a project with 2 files. Class1 and Class2. I open both files. The focus is on Class1. I click on the Class2 Tab, thereby changing the file that I am editing to Class2. Desired Behavior The solution explorer will highlight Class2.

I have an event listener on FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE to create and add display-objects once things are running, but I don't know the right way to do this in Flash? edit: Maybe if my class subclasses Sprite rather than a Flex class, I can add children in the constructor, I don't need to wait for a "construction complete" event?

    Hi, I've created reports in Adboe that have checkobxes and set then to required fields. But when i click the submit button all fields but the check boxes are validated. I.e If i dont complete the required textbox field the report will not submit, but when i do and the required checkbox fields are not checked it still submits.     I want to write a python script that will open up this one excel file, "refresh" on the Bloomberg tab (with the Bloomberg add-in), and export all the individual sheets as csv? How can I do this? What are the basic things I should know and is there any reference script that I can use? I'm using Excel 2010 with the bloomberg plugin.
