    I am transforming an XML document. There is an attribute @prettydate that is a string similar to "Friday, May 7, 2010". I want to split that string and add links to the month and the year. I am using the exslt:strings module and I can add any other necessary EXSLT module.   • How to test crontab entry?

    I have an entry in my crontab that looks like this: 0 3 * * * pg_dump mydb | gzip > ~/backup/db/$(date +%Y-%m-%d).psql.gz That script works perfectly when I execute it from the shell, but it doesn't seem to be running every night. I'm assuming there's something wrong with the permissions, maybe crontab is running under a different user or something. How can I debug this? I'm a shared hosting environment (WebFaction).

    I have the jQuery datepicker working, but I need to be able to select more than just dates. I need to be able to select between some strings as well "Yesterday" and "Today" to be precise. So, the underlying input can contain any date as well as the strings "Yesterday" or "Today". Is there some way I can do this by tweaking the existing jQuery UI datepicker?
