• Double right click to Show a PopUpMenu with A TListView !!

  Hi, I have a TListView and TPopupMenu, and I want to show a context menu when I right click on a TListItem. I tried the "AutoPopup" by assigning the component, but on a right click the PopupMenu is shown only and the wanted element is not selected. So i tried to use the "OnMouseDown", but we need to click and click again to show the menu on the wanted item. The first click is to select the item and the second shows the menu. But I want just a one click to do the two things. Do you have and idea about the problem? Thank you.

• Append before parent after getSelection()

  Hi all, I have one question. I try to develop a little WYSIWYG editor. I would like create a <h1> button which allows me to generate a <h1> title (by clicking on button after text selection in <p> element). I obtain the selection with window.getSelection().... But now, I would like to put my append("<h1>my text selected</h1>") just before the <p>. It’s my problem, because my <p> elements don’t have id or class. So do you know a means to put my append just before the <p> where my text has been selected? I don’t know if with my bad English you’ll understand me! Thanks very much for your help.

  My code merges two lists of lists, item by item, in the following way: mergeL([[a,b],[c,d]], [[1,2],[3,4]], Result). Result = [[a,b,1,2],[c,d,3,4]] And this is the code i use: mergeL([],[],[]). mergeL(List, [], List). mergeL([], List, List). mergeL([X|Rest],[Y|Rest2], [XY|Res2]) :- mergeL(Rest, Rest2, Res2), append(X,Y,XY). This seems to work but if i call it with two lists of the same size i get three repeated results. Example (both list contain only one element): ?- mergeL([[a,b]],[[1,2,3]],Q). Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]] ; Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]] ; Q = [[a, b, 1, 2, 3]]. Is there a clean way to make this output only one solution?

  I have a drop down list with known values. What I'm trying to do is set the drop down list to a particular value that I know exists using jQuery. Using regular JavaScript, I would do something like: ddl = document.getElementById("ID of element goes here"); ddl.value = 2; // 2 being the value I want to set it to. However, I need to do this with jQuery because I'm using a CSS class for my selector (stupid ASP.NET client ids...). Here are a few things I've tried: $("._statusDDL").val(2); // doesn't find 2 as a value $("._statusDDL").children("option").val(2) // also failed. How can I do it with jQuery?

• HTML5 - Creating a canvas on top of an SVG(or other image)

  The reason for asking this question is because I want to be able to draw an arrow between two svg images. I want to use canvas to create the arrows, so firstly I generate the svgs then place a canvas on top of them to be able to draw the arrows. I've tried using style=... but haven't had any luck as everytime I add the canvas element it just pushes my svg images to another pl If there's no easy way to do this I'll just create arrows using SVG, I figured it would be more efficient to use canvas if I had to do lots of arrows in a short amount of time.

One is child and one is parent like : <div id="p"> <div id="c"> </div> </div> The parent div has 2 event attached click and dblclick and child div has 1 event attached click. Now my problem is when i clicked on the child div the parent div click event also executed. I tried e.stopPropagation(); but still same behavior. Help me ?

• Interesting XSL Dilemma

  I've got this issue. A template called "checkbox" that's called from while inside a table HTML element and also outside of it. To solve an issue, I've added tags to "checkbox" input control. Here's what I'd like to do to but I'm not sure if it's possible or not. When I hit my "row" (part of the custom table markup) template, I would set some variable or pass some parameter, that for each template applied afterwards, would know it was in a "row" and do something special based on this information. I know I can't add parameters to apply-templates. I may be able to add a row "mode" but I can't make changes to each template and have one copy with the mod parameter and one without. Thanks for any suggestions. I know the ideal solution would to be to make changes to the XML but I'm not sure if I can do that as this point. That's a "content" issue. :P Thanks!

  I am using $().fadeOut() to fade items out in a list ( < li < /li). When the list is empty I wish to hide a parent object. I plan on doing this by checking in my trigger event that fades the list if the count of the objects is 0 then hide the parent element. I can use the fadeOut callback to remove the elements if necessary. The to the point question: How do I select li tags inside a ul and then get the total count of them using jquery?

• jQuery finding 'nth-child' value

  Hi, I have a ul set up as navigation, which I'll be animating on hover. As all the nav items are different widths, I'll be storing their default widths in an Array, so that on hover out, these widths can be passed back in to the animate method. What I need is a way to find what 'nth-child' the element is in order to retrieve the correct width from the array. Something like: var count = $(this).count(); //obviously this isn't right! So that then I can do: $(this).animate({'width':array(count)}, 400); Any suggestions would help me a lot - and if there's a better way to do this kind of thing I'd gladly accept pointers!

• Safe way of iterating over an array or dictionary and deleting entries?

  I've heard that it is a bad idea to do something like this. But I am sure there is some rule of thumb which can help to get that right. When I iterate over an NSMutableDictionary or NSMutableArray often I need to get rid of entries. Typical case: You iterate over it, and compare the entry against something. Sometimes the result is "don't need anymore" and you have to remove it. But doing so affects the index of all the rows, doesn't it? So how could I safely iterate over it without accidently exceeding bounds or jumping over an element that hasn't been checked?

  I have a script that create a new div element. Then, I want to append the div to the body of the page using appendChild method. The script is look like this : var div = document.createElement('div'); div.id = 'newdiv'; document.body.appendChild(div); Unfortunately, the div also appended to the body of iframes. So, my question is, how to refer to the true body of the document, not including the body of the iframes? That way, the div just appended once, to the "true body" of the document.   I'm new to parsing XML and am having an issue with entities. (Am doing this on Android, if it makes a difference). Is there a way to have it turn an entity into the character it represents? I have this in the child of an element: "isn&#39;t" (minus quotes). I would prefer it parse it and the end result be a single text node. However, right now this is turned in to TEXT, ENTITY, TEXT. Is there a way to automatically have it parse the entity into text, or a manual way to do it?

• Problem with Firefox, javascript, and Canvas

  I'm having a Firefox-specific issue with a script I wrote to create 3d layouts. The correct behavior is that the script pulls the background-color from an element and then uses that color to draw on the canvas. When a user mouses over a link and the background-color changes to the :hover rule, the color being drawn changes on the canvas changes as well. When the user mouses out, the color should revert back to non-hover color. This works as expected in Webkit browsers and Opera, but Firefox chokes on it if mouseout is triggered and no mouseover event follows it. • Can't type anything in inputs or textareas

  Hello, I have a problem: I've add a Jquery UI drag-n-drop widget to my page, but after that I can't type anything into inputs or textareas. I use jQuery 1.4.2 and jQuery UI 1.8rc3, and tiny_mce for convert textareas into WYSIWUG editor (I've tried to disable tiny_mce). When I put $("input").click( function(){ alert('clicked!'); }); - it's working(I have an alert). When I get focused to any input I even can't refresh page by F5 and go to the next element by Tab key. • cakephp links not relative

  In my layout, I have a menu that I've included as an element, and it contains a link like so.. <? $html->link('New Part Number','/part_numbers/add'); ?> The problem that I have is that cake isn't redirecting correctly and it ends up sending me to "http://localhost/part_numbers/add" instead of "http://localhost/my_client_folder/client_app/part_numbers/add" (I'm building this locally). My cakephp app is stored a few directories below my webroot folder, but I thought cakephp would autodetect how to build the linking no matter where the application was located, right? So do i need to configure the application root folder, or create a route or something? Thanks!

I am looking for permutations of items, but the first element must be 3, and the second must be 1 or 2, etc. One such permutation that fits is: {3,1,1,1,2,2,3} Is there an algorithm to count all permutations for this problem in general? Is there a name for this type of problem? For illustration, I know how to solve this problem for certain types of "restricting sets". Set of items: {1,1,2,2,3}, Restrictions {{1,2},{1,2,3},{1,2,3},{1,2},{1,2}}. This is equal to 2!/(2-1)!/1! * 4!/2!/2!. Effectively permuting the 3 first, since it is the most restrictive and then permuting the remaining items where there is room.
