• CouchDB Map/Reduce raises execption in reduce function?

  my view generates keys in this format ["job_id:1234567890", 1271430291000] where the first key element is a unique key and the second is a timestamp in milliseconds. I run my view with this elapsed_time?startkey=["123"]&endkey=["123",{}]&group=true&group_level=1 and here is my reduce function, the intention is to reduce the output to get the earliest and latest timestamps and return the difference between them and now function(keys,values,rereduce) { var now = new Date().valueOf(); var first = Number.MIN_VALUE; var last = Number.MAX_VALUE; if (rereduce) { first = Math.max(first,values[0].first); last = Math.min(last,values[0].last); } else { first = keys[0][0][1]; last = keys[keys.length-1][0][1]; } return {first:now - first, last:now - last}; } and when processing a query it constantly raises the following execption: function raised exception (new TypeError("keys has no properties", "", 1)) I am making sure not to reference keys inside my rereduce block. Why does this function constantly raise this exception?

• Can default Symfony form-save actions be used to post data via AJAX?

  I was playing around with Symfony, jQuery, jqGrid & AJAX. For each new post submission, I am doing the foll: adding a routing entry in routing.yml defining a new action in the Actions file for the module. THis reads params, assigns values & saves the object As in the case of jqGrid, the 'Add Row' form is not a Symfony form. Is there a way to fool Symfony and post data to the executeCreate action to store a new entry. If not, does Symfony provide a way to quickly generate web services for AJAX requests for each of the modules? Is this a sensible feature? What I am going to have to do other-wise, is to create routing create a new Action get all parameters instantiate object assign values & save Any help in doing this faster will be appreciated. • How to save bytes to an image and access it from Bottle

  I'm working on an API wrapper for Snapchat using Python and Bottle, but in order to return the file (retrieved by the Python script) I have to save the bytes (returned by Snapchat) to a .jpg file. I'm not quite sure how I will do this and still be able to access the file so that it can be returned. • C++ iostream not setting eof bit even if gcount returns 0

  Hi I'm developping an application under windows, and i'm using fstreams to read and write to the file. I'm writing with fstream opened like this : fs.open(this->filename.c_str(), std::ios::in|std::ios::out|std::ios::binary); and writing with this command fs.write(reinterpret_cast<char*>(&e.element), sizeof(T)); closing the file after each write with fs.close() Reading with ifstream opened like this : is.open(filename, std::ios::in); and reading with this command : is.read(reinterpret_cast<char*>(&e.element), sizeof(T)); The write is going fine. However, i read in a loop this way : while(!is.eof()) { is.read(reinterpret_cast<char*>(&e.element), sizeof(T)); } and the program keeps reading, even though the end of file should be reached. istellg pos is 0, and gcount is equal to 0 too, but the fail bit and eof bit are both ok. I'm running crazy over this, need some help ...

• Passing a variable to jsp when reloading an iframe using javascript

  In my javascript code I load a jsp page in an iframe and pass some variables like this: htmlData[i++]="<iframe id=\"mapframe\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width:330px;height:300px\" src=\"" + "mapURL.jsp" +"&lat=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode("33.65") +"&lng=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode("-84.42") +"&accord=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode(accord) +"\"></iframe>"; Then I have to reload that jsp page after an action, and I do this: accord = ui.newHeader.text(); document.getElementById('mapframe').contentWindow.location.reload(); The reload works except that the "accord" variable is not getting updated. When I call it from the jsp, it still has its original value. How do I pass the new value when reloading the iframe/jsp? It shouldn't make any difference, but I am working with jquery and this is for a Yahoo zimlet. Thanks.

Is there a way to bind complex objects arrays?

The ways I come up so far are: (say ptr is a 16bit pointer, and int is 16bit int) ADDH = (unsigned int) ptr >> 8; ADDL = (unsigned int) ptr & 0x00FF; and ADDH = ((unsigned char *)&ptr)[0]; ADDL = ((unsigned char *)&ptr)[1]; Does anyone have any other bright ideas? ;) And anyone can tell me which way is more efficient?

• Too slow gwt develpment mode !

  I'm using eclipse galileo with latest GWT 2.0 version in development mode, but it runs really slow (i should wait about 1 minute to open one page, but after compilation, my application works very well when I run it using tomcat 5.5). My code is not too heavy & i guess there is an os-related or software inconsistency problem, because I'd this problem before, but when i reinstalled my windows vista sp2 (I formatted my windows drive & reinstalled it), my problem solved for just some days & then again it became to slow ! I didn't install any special software on my windows, so i really dont know why this problem occures ??? any suggestion ?

• preventing jCarousel form returning to begining position after loading page

  Hi all, i am using jCarousel as a menu in my website. there is a list of links there which is longer than its containing elements and jCarousel is used as a scroll bar to view that list. my problem is that whenever a link is clicked and a new page is loaded, jCarousel resets to its begining position thus sometimes an active link is no longer visible after the page reloads. any idea how i can make jCarousel focus on the specific active link? you can see an example of what i mean here: http://174.133.190.8/~goldarch/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50&Itemid=57 (check out the menu on top) thank you all.

• nivo slider and drop down menu doesnt work in IE

• Threading and pcap issues.

  I have a GUI program that allows a user a scan a network, the issue is that when the pcap_loop function is called, my GUI program becomes unresponsive.(the pcap_loop blocks the current thread). How do I resolve this? (This is on GCC by the way)

  I am running a shell script from a perl CGI script: #!/usr/bin/perl my $command = "./script.sh &"; my $pid = fork(); if (defined($pid) && $pid==0) { # background process system( $command ); } The shell script looks like this: #!/bin/sh trap 'echo trapped' 15 tail -f test.log When I run the CGI script from browser, and then stop httpd using /etc/init.d/httpd stop, the script receives a SIGTERM signal. I was expecting the script to run as a separate process and not be tied in anyway to httpd. Though I can trap the SIGTERM, I would like to understand why the script is receiving SIGTERM at all. What wrong am I doing here? I am running RHEL 5.8 and Apache HTTP server 2.4. Thanks, Pranav
