  • How to load an ImageView from a png file?

    - by Peter vdL
    I take a picture with the camera using Intent intent = new Intent(android.provider.MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE ); startActivityForResult( intent, 22 ); When the activity completes, I write the bitmap picture out to a PNG file. java.io.FileOutputStream out = openFileOutput("myfile.png", Context.MODE_PRIVATE); bmp.compress(Bitmap.CompressFormat.PNG, 90, out); That goes OK, and I can see the file is created in my app private data space. I'm having difficulty when I later want to display that image using an ImageView. Can anyone suggest code to do this? If I try to create a File with path separators in, it fails. If I try to create a Uri from a name without separators, that fails. I can open the file OK using: java.io.FileInputStream in = openFileInput("myfile.png"); But that doesn't give me the Uri I need to set an image with iv.setImageURI(u) Summary: I have the picture in a png file in private app data. What's the code to set that into an ImageView? Thanks.

  • Master Detail same View binding controls

    - by pipelinecache
    Hi everyone, say I have a List View with ItemControls. And a Details part that shows the selected Item from List View. Both are in the same xaml page. I tried everything to accomplish it, but what do I miss? <!-- // List --> <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Model, ElementName=SomeListViewControl, Mode=Default}" SnapsToDevicePixels="True" Focusable="False" IsTabStop="False"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <SomeListView:SomeListItemControl x:Name=listItem/> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> <!-- // Details --> <Label Content="Begindatum" FontSize="16" VerticalAlignment="Center" Grid.Row="1" Margin="2,0,0,0"/> <TextBox x:Name="Begindatum" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="1" Text="{Binding Path=BeginDate, ElementName=listItem,Converter={StaticResource DateTimeConverter}, ConverterParameter=dd-MM-yyyy}" IsEnabled="False" Style="{DynamicResource TextBoxStyle}" MaxLength="30"/> public event EventHandler<DataEventArgs<SomeEntity>> OnOpenSomething; public ObservableCollection<SomeEntity> Model { get { return (ObservableCollection<SomeEntity>)GetValue(ModelProperty); } set { Model.CollectionChanged -= new NotifyCollectionChangedEventHandler(Model_CollectionChanged); SetValue(ModelProperty, value); Model.CollectionChanged += new NotifyCollectionChangedEventHandler(Model_CollectionChanged); UpdateVisualState(); } } public static readonly DependencyProperty ModelProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Model", typeof(ObservableCollection<SomeEntity>), typeof(SomeListView), new UIPropertyMetadata(new ObservableCollection<SomeEntity>(), new PropertyChangedCallback(ChangedModel))); private static void ChangedModel(DependencyObject source, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e) { SomeListView someListView = source as SomeListView; if (someListView.Model == null) { return; } CollectionView cv = (CollectionView)CollectionViewSource.GetDefaultView(someListView.Model); } private void Model_CollectionChanged(object sender, NotifyCollectionChangedEventArgs e) { if (Model == null) { return; } }

  • What is best practice about having one-many hibernate

    - by Patrick
    Hi all, I believe this is a common scenario. Say I have a one-many mapping in hibernate Category has many Item Category: @OneToMany( cascade = {CascadeType.ALL},fetch = FetchType.LAZY) @JoinColumn(name="category_id") @Cascade( value = org.hibernate.annotations.CascadeType.DELETE_ORPHAN ) private List<Item> items; Item: @ManyToOne(targetEntity=Category.class,fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinColumn(name="category_id",insertable=false,updatable=false) private Category category; All works fine. I use Category to fully control Item's life cycle. But, when I am writing code to update Category, first I get Category out from DB. Then pass it to UI. User fill in altered values for Category and pass back. Here comes the problem. Because I only pass around Category information not Item. Therefore the Item collection will be empty. When I call saveOrUpdate, it will clean out all associations. Any suggestion on what's best to address this? I think the advantage of having Category controls Item is to easily main the order of Item and not to confuse bi-directly. But what about situation that you do want to just update Category it self? Load it first and merge? Thank you.

  • OSMF seek with Amazon Cloudfront

    - by giorrrgio
    I've written a little OSMF player that streams via RTMP from Amazon Cloudfront. There's a known issue, the mp3 duration is not correctly readed from metadata and thus the seek function is not working. I know there's a workaround implying the use of getStreamLength function of NetConnection, which I successfully implemented in a previous non-OSMF player, but now I don't know how and when to call it, in terms of OSMF Events and Traits. This code is not working: protected function initApp():void { //the pointer to the media var resource:URLResource = new URLResource( STREAMING_PATH ); // Create a mediafactory instance mediaFactory = new DefaultMediaFactory(); //creates and sets the MediaElement (generic) with a resource and path element = mediaFactory.createMediaElement( resource ); var loadTrait:NetStreamLoadTrait = element.getTrait(MediaTraitType.LOAD) as NetStreamLoadTrait; loadTrait.addEventListener(LoaderEvent.LOAD_STATE_CHANGE, _onLoaded); player = new MediaPlayer( element ); //Marker 5: Add MediaPlayer listeners for media size and current time change player.addEventListener( DisplayObjectEvent.MEDIA_SIZE_CHANGE, _onSizeChange ); player.addEventListener( TimeEvent.CURRENT_TIME_CHANGE, _onProgress ); initControlBar(); } private function onGetStreamLength(result:Object):void { Alert.show("The stream length is " + result + " seconds"); duration = Number(result); } private function _onLoaded(e:LoaderEvent):void { if (e.newState == LoadState.READY) { var loadTrait:NetStreamLoadTrait = player.media.getTrait(MediaTraitType.LOAD) as NetStreamLoadTrait; if (loadTrait && loadTrait.netStream) { var responder:Responder = new Responder(onGetStreamLength); loadTrait.connection.call("getStreamLength", responder, STREAMING_PATH); } } }

  • wordpress generating slow mysql queries - is it index problem?

    - by tash
    Hello Stack Overflow I've got very slow Mysql queries coming up from my wordpress site. It's making everything slow and I think this is eating up CPU usage. I've pasted the Explain results for the two most frequently problematic queries below. This is a typical result - although very occasionally teh queries do seem to be performed at a more normal speed. I have the usual wordpress indexes on the database tables. You will see that one of the queries is generated from wordpress core code, and not from anything specific - like the theme - for my site. I have a vague feeling that the database is not always using the indexes/is not using them properly... Is this right? Does anyone know how to fix it? Or is it a different problem entirely? Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer - it is hugely appreciated Query: [wp-blog-header.php(14): wp()] SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_posts.* FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND wp_posts.post_type = 'post' AND (wp_posts.post_status = 'publish' OR wp_posts.post_status = 'private') ORDER BY wp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 6 id select_type table type possible_keys key key_len ref rows Extra 1 SIMPLE wp_posts ref type_status_date type_status_date 63 const 427 Using where; Using filesort Query time: 34.2829 (ms) 9) Query: [wp-content/themes/LMHR/index.php(40): query_posts()] SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_posts.* FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND wp_posts.ID NOT IN ( SELECT tr.object_id FROM wp_term_relationships AS tr INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id WHERE tt.taxonomy = 'category' AND tt.term_id IN ('217', '218', '223', '224') ) AND wp_posts.post_type = 'post' AND (wp_posts.post_status = 'publish' OR wp_posts.post_status = 'private') ORDER BY wp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 6 id select_type table type possible_keys key key_len ref rows Extra 1 PRIMARY wp_posts ref type_status_date type_status_date 63 const 427 Using where; Using filesort 2 DEPENDENT SUBQUERY tr ref PRIMARY,term_taxonomy_id PRIMARY 8 func 1 Using index 2 DEPENDENT SUBQUERY tt eq_ref PRIMARY,term_id_taxonomy,taxonomy PRIMARY 8 antin1_lovemusic2010.tr.term_taxonomy_id 1 Using where Query time: 70.3900 (ms)

  • Streaming content to JSF UI

    - by Mark Lewis
    Hello, I was quite happy with my JSF app which read the contents of MQ messages received and supplied them to the UI like this: <rich:panel> <snip> <rich:panelMenuItem label="mylabel" action="#{MyBacking.updateCurrent}"> <f:param name="current" value="mylog.log" /> </rich:panelMenuItem> </snip> </rich:panel> <rich:panel> <a4j:outputPanel ajaxRendered="true"> <rich:insert content="#{MyBacking.log}" highlight="groovy" /> </a4j:outputPanel> </rich:panel> and in MyBacking.java private String logFile = null; ... public String updateCurrent() { FacesContext context=FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); setCurrent((String)context.getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap().get("current")); setLog(getCurrent()); return null; } public void setLog(String log) { sendMsg(log); msgBody = receiveMsg(moreargs); logFile = msgBody; } public String getLog() { return logFile; } until the contents of one of the messages was too big and tomcat fell over. Obviously, I thought, I need to change the way it works so that I return some form of stream so that no one object grows so big that the container dies and the content returned by successive messages is streamed to the UI as it comes in. Am I right in thinking that I can replace the work I'm doing now on a String object with a BufferedOutputStream object ie no change to the JSF code and something like this changing at the back end: private BufferedOutputStream logFile = null; public void setLog(String log) { sendMsg(args); logFile = (BufferedOutputStream) receiveMsg(moreargs); } public String getLog() { return logFile; }

  • C++: Efficiently adding integers to strings

    - by Shinka
    I know how to add integers to strings, but I'm not sure I'm doing it in an efficient matters. I have a class where I often have to return a string plus an integer (a different integer each time), in Java I would do something like public class MyClass { final static String S = "MYSTRING"; private int id = 0; public String getString() { return S + (id++); } } But in C++ I have to do; class MyClass { private: std::string S; // For some reason I can't do const std::string S = "MYSTRING"; int id; public: MyClass() { S = "MYSTRING"; id = 0; } std::string getString() { std::ostringstream oss; oss << S << id++; return oss.str(); } } An additional constraint: I don't want (in fact, in can't) use Boost or any other librairies, I'll have to work with the standard library. So the thing is; the code works, but in C++ I have to create a bunch of ostringstream objects, so it seems inefficient. To be fair, perhaps Java do the same and I just don't notice it, I say it's inefficient mostly because I know very little about strings. Is there a more efficient way to do this ?

  • Having Issue with Bounded Wildcards in Generic

    - by Sanjiv
    I am new to Java Generics, and I'm currently experimenting with Generic Coding....final goal is to convert old Non-Generic legacy code to generic one... I have defined two Classes with IS-A i.e. one is sub-class of other. public class Parent { private String name; public Parent(String name) { super(); this.name = name; } } public class Child extends Parent{ private String address; public Child(String name, String address) { super(name); this.address = address; } } Now, I am trying to create a list with bounded Wildcard. and getting Compiler Error. List<? extends Parent> myList = new ArrayList<Child>(); myList.add(new Parent("name")); // compiler-error myList.add(new Child("name", "address")); // compiler-error myList.add(new Child("name", "address")); // compiler-error Bit confused. please help me on whats wrong with this ?

  • Can Office Project Server 2010 handle issue tracking?

    - by JL
    I have a scenario where I want to be able to allow customers to login to a customer facing portal on the web, and log issues / bugs. Internal team members should then be notified via email and the issue should be logged in Project Server. The ticket status should be Open, until either resolved or close, where the customer will be notified via email. Is this possible to do using Microsoft Project Server 2010? The question could also be can customers submit bugs to office 2010 projects via a custom web form of some kind, and can project handle the back-end gracefully.

  • JumpLists Not Working in C# App

    - by Josh M.
    Hi, I'm trying to use the Recent and Frequent JumpLists in my C# app. I'm using the Windows API Codepack v1.1 (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/WindowsAPICodePack). I initialize the JumpLists every time the app starts and I AddRecent() to the JumpList every time I open a project in the app. Something is missing becuase the JumpLists are simply not showing up when you right click the app's icon in the Taskbar. I got one file to show up once but that's it! Initialization: private void InitializeJumpLists() { if (TaskbarManager.IsPlatformSupported) { JumpList recentJumpList = null; JumpList frequentJumpList = null; TaskbarManager.Instance.ApplicationId = Application.ProductName; recentJumpList = JumpList.CreateJumpList(); recentJumpList.KnownCategoryToDisplay = JumpListKnownCategoryType.Recent; recentJumpList.Refresh(); frequentJumpList = JumpList.CreateJumpList(); frequentJumpList.KnownCategoryToDisplay = JumpListKnownCategoryType.Frequent; frequentJumpList.Refresh(); } } Opening the Project: private void OpenProject(string path, bool isFromRecentFilesList) { DialogResult result = ConfirmProjectClosing(); if (result == DialogResult.Yes) Save(); else if (result == DialogResult.Cancel) return; using (new Wait()) { //Code here opens the project, etc. //Try to add the file to the Jump List. if (TaskbarManager.IsPlatformSupported) JumpList.AddToRecent(path); //Code here finished up. } } What am I missing?

  • constructing a recursive function returning an array

    - by Admiral Kunkka
    I'm developing a function that has a random chance to loop through itself and put it's results in one array for me to use later in my PHP class. Is there a better way to do this more organized, specifically case 5. The array becomes sloppy if it rolls 5, after 5, after 5 looking unpleasant. private function dice($sides) { return mt_rand(1, $sides); } private function randomLoot($dice) { switch($dice) { case 1: $array[] = "A fancy mug."; break; case 2: $array[] = "A buckler."; break; case 3: $array[] = "A sword."; break; case 4: $array[] = "A jewel."; break; case 5: $array[] = "A treasure chest with contents:"; $count = $this->dice(3); $i = 1; while($i <= $count) { $array[] = $this->randomLoot($this->dice(5)); $i++; } break; } return $array; }

  • What is the easiest way to get the property value from a passed lambda expression in an extension me

    - by Andrew Siemer
    I am writing a dirty little extension method for HtmlHelper so that I can say something like HtmlHelper.WysiwygFor(lambda) and display the CKEditor. I have this working currently but it seems a bit more cumbersome than I would prefer. I am hoping that there is a more straight forward way of doing this. Here is what I have so far. public static MvcHtmlString WysiwygFor<TModel, TProperty>(this HtmlHelper<TModel> helper, Expression<Func<TModel, TProperty>> expression) { return MvcHtmlString.Create(string.Concat("<textarea class=\"ckeditor\" cols=\"80\" id=\"", expression.MemberName(), "\" name=\"editor1\" rows=\"10\">", GetValue(helper, expression), "</textarea>")); } private static string GetValue<TModel, TProperty>(HtmlHelper<TModel> helper, Expression<Func<TModel, TProperty>> expression) { MemberExpression body = (MemberExpression)expression.Body; string propertyName = body.Member.Name; TModel model = helper.ViewData.Model; string value = typeof(TModel).GetProperty(propertyName).GetValue(model, null).ToString(); return value; } private static string MemberName<T, V>(this Expression<Func<T, V>> expression) { var memberExpression = expression.Body as MemberExpression; if (memberExpression == null) throw new InvalidOperationException("Expression must be a member expression"); return memberExpression.Member.Name; } Thanks!

  • ASP.NET MVC Viewmodel trouble...

    - by ile
    I've already started similar topic, but still didn't find final solution... So here I am with new one :) ... I'm developing NerdDinner from scratch and now I came to point where I define DinnerViewModel. Following these instructions (starting from Listing 5) I came to this: namespace Nerd.Controllers { // View Model Classes public class DinnerViewModel { public DinnerViewModel(List<Dinner> dinners) { this.Dinners = dinners; } public List<Dinner> Dinners { get; private set; } } public class DinnerController : Controller { private DinnerRepository dinnerRepository = new DinnerRepository(); .... public ActionResult NewDinners() { // Create list of products var dinners = new List<Dinner>(); dinners.Add(new Dinner(/*Something to add*/)); // Return view return View(new DinnerViewModel(dinners)); } } } Also, the Dinner table in this new version of NerdDinner is a bit shortened (it contains of DinnerID, Title, EventDate and Description fields). No matter what I try to add here dinners.Add(new Dinner(/*Something to add*/)); I always get following error Error 1 'Nerd.Model.Dinner' does not contain a constructor that takes '1' arguments C:\Documents and Settings\ilija\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Nerd\Nerd\Controllers\DinnerController.cs 150 25 Nerd Because I'm total beginner in C# and generally OOP, I have no idea what to do here... I suppose I need to declare a constructor, but how and where exactly? Thanks, Ile

  • How to improve multi-threaded access to Cache (custom implementation)

    - by Andy
    I have a custom Cache implementation, which allows to cache TCacheable<TKey> descendants using LRU (Least Recently Used) cache replacement algorithm. Every time an element is accessed, it is bubbled up to the top of the LRU queue using the following synchronized function: // a single instance is created to handle all TCacheable<T> elements public class Cache() { private object syncQueue = new object(); private void topQueue(TCacheable<T> el) { lock (syncQueue) if (newest != el) { if (el.elder != null) el.elder.newer = el.newer; if (el.newer != null) el.newer.elder = el.elder; if (oldest == el) oldest = el.newer; if (oldest == null) oldest = el; if (newest != null) newest.newer = el; el.newer = null; el.elder = newest; newest = el; } } } The bottleneck in this function is the lock() operator, which limits cache access to just one thread at a time. Question: Is it possible to get rid of lock(syncQueue) in this function while still preserving the queue integrity?

  • gwtQuery's outerWidth(true) and IE8 not working without putting a delay

    - by Christopher
    I recently came across an odd behavior when trying to calculate the width (with margins) of an element using gwtQuery. The goal is to get the width (including padding, borders and margins) of a given element as a child of a certain parent. This parent may define specific CSS rules for some children so I clone it, add my element to this parent, call .outerWidth(true) to get the width and finally remove the clone from the parent. It works fine on Chrome, Firefox and IE 10, but randomly fails (outputs 0) on IE 8. However I noticed that if I put a "sleep" between the moment I add the element to the DOM and the moment I get the outer width, it always succeeds. I obviously don't want to keep that sleep. So my question is does anyone has any insights on how to work around this behavior or even a better way of achieving the same goal? Thank you! Here's a code snippet private Integer computeTabWidth(IsWidget tab) { GQuery $tab = $("<li></li>").append($(tab).clone()); $(containerPanel).append($tab); // IE 8 debug. sleep(100); Integer tabWidth = $tab.outerWidth(true); $tab.remove(); return tabWidth; } private void sleep(int i) { long time = new Date().getTime() + i; while (time > new Date().getTime()); }

  • Flex/Actionscript image display problem.

    - by IanH
    I'm trying to extend the Image class but hit a problem that I can't get past. I have a private image (img) that loads an image and a function that takes that image and copies it onto the parent. The debug function "copyit2" displays the image fine (so I know it's loaded OK). But the function "copyit" doesn't work - it just displays a white rectangle. I can't see how to make copyit work so that the original image is copied to the BitmapData and then subsequenty copied onto the parent? (The idea is to do some processing on the Bitmap data before it is displayed, although this isn't shown here to keep the example simple.) I suspect it is something to do with the security of loading images, but I'm loading it from the same server as the application is run from - so this shouldn't be a problem? Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Here is the class to export a gridview to an excel sheet: Imports System Imports System.Data Imports System.Configuration Imports System.IO Imports System.Web Imports System.Web.Security Imports System.Web.UI Imports System.Web.UI.WebControls Imports System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts Imports System.Web.UI.HtmlControls Namespace ExcelExport Public NotInheritable Class GVExportUtil Private Sub New() End Sub Public Shared Sub Export(ByVal fileName As String, ByVal gv As GridView) HttpContext.Current.Response.Clear() HttpContext.Current.Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", String.Format("attachment; filename={0}", fileName)) HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentType = "application/ms-excel" Dim sw As StringWriter = New StringWriter Dim htw As HtmlTextWriter = New HtmlTextWriter(sw) Dim table As Table = New Table table.GridLines = GridLines.Vertical If (Not (gv.HeaderRow) Is Nothing) Then GVExportUtil.PrepareControlForExport(gv.HeaderRow) table.Rows.Add(gv.HeaderRow) End If For Each row As GridViewRow In gv.Rows GVExportUtil.PrepareControlForExport(row) table.Rows.Add(row) Next If (Not (gv.FooterRow) Is Nothing) Then GVExportUtil.PrepareControlForExport(gv.FooterRow) table.Rows.Add(gv.FooterRow) End If table.RenderControl(htw) HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(sw.ToString) HttpContext.Current.Response.End() End Sub Private Shared Sub PrepareControlForExport(ByVal control As Control) Dim i As Integer = 0 Do While (i < control.Controls.Count) Dim current As Control = control.Controls(i) If (TypeOf current Is LinkButton) Then control.Controls.Remove(current) control.Controls.AddAt(i, New LiteralControl(CType(current, LinkButton).Text)) ElseIf (TypeOf current Is ImageButton) Then control.Controls.Remove(current) control.Controls.AddAt(i, New LiteralControl(CType(current, ImageButton).AlternateText)) ElseIf (TypeOf current Is HyperLink) Then control.Controls.Remove(current) control.Controls.AddAt(i, New LiteralControl(CType(current, HyperLink).Text)) ElseIf (TypeOf current Is DropDownList) Then control.Controls.Remove(current) control.Controls.AddAt(i, New LiteralControl(CType(current, DropDownList).SelectedItem.Text)) ElseIf (TypeOf current Is CheckBox) Then control.Controls.Remove(current) control.Controls.AddAt(i, New LiteralControl(CType(current, CheckBox).Checked)) End If If current.HasControls Then GVExportUtil.PrepareControlForExport(current) End If i = (i + 1) Loop End Sub End Class End Namespace Will this class cause memory leaks? And does anything here need to be disposed of? The code is working but I am getting the app pool falling over frequently when it is in use. Thanks.

  • ClassCastException in iterating list returned by Query using Hibernate Query Language

    - by Tushar Paliwal
    I'm beginner in hibernate.I'm trying a simplest example using HQL but it generates exception at line 25 ClassCastException when i try to iterate list.When i try to cast the object returned by next() methode of iterator it generates the same problem.I could not identify the problem.Kindly give me solution of the problem. Employee.java package one; import javax.persistence.Entity; import javax.persistence.Id; @Entity public class Employee { @Id private Long id; private String name; public Long getId() { return id; } public void setId(Long id) { this.id = id; } public String getName() { return name; } public void setName(String name) { this.name = name; } public Employee(Long id, String name) { super(); this.id = id; this.name = name; } public Employee() { } } Main2.java package one; import java.util.Iterator; import java.util.List; import org.hibernate.Query; import org.hibernate.Session; import org.hibernate.SessionFactory; import org.hibernate.Transaction; import org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration; public class Main2 { public static void main(String[] args) { SessionFactory sf=new Configuration().configure().buildSessionFactory(); Session s1=sf.openSession(); Query q=s1.createQuery("from Employee "); Transaction tx=s1.beginTransaction(); List l=q.list(); Iterator itr=l.iterator(); while(itr.hasNext()) { Object obj[]=(Object[])itr.next();//Line 25 for(Object temp:obj) { System.out.println(temp); } } tx.commit(); s1.close(); sf.close(); } }

  • java: "downcasting" to new object / opposite of slicing

    - by rhavin
    Sorry, i really dont know how to make a headline for that question; maybe there is a name for what im trying to do that i dont know, but i can explain it with some code: Guess you have a class that unfortunately neither has a copy-constructor nor a public static copy method. class A { private int i; // <- private, cant access String x; // <- even worse: cant access unless in same pkg! /* … other stuff, ctor, etc. … */ public A clone() { A a = new A(); a.i = i; a.x = x; return x; } } Guess further, there is some function that returns an object of that class: public static A someFn(x,y,z); Now the problem: I want to derive from that class to add some functionality. Unfortunately, i neither have a sizeof in java nor a cc or static copy method. So when i do a class B extends A { protected w; public B clone() { /* as usual */ } } then i can clone my B and get a new one, but how can i convert the returned A from someFn() into a B. Is there anyway to do the opposite of slicing in java? if i clone it, it's still an A, and i cant copy it field by field. This is all simple in c++, but how to do this in Java?

  • Can I use the Airport Express as a an uplink between two networks?

    - by Ant Swift
    I have two separate networks using different IP ranges, 192.168.0.* for the wired only, isolated network and 192.160.1.* for the wireless only network which is connected to the internet. The wired network has a network printer setup and working and I want to be able to share it out to members of the wireless network (see diagram below). In short I need some kind of uplink between the two networks. Currently running a cable is out since there is no suitable route. I have a spare Airport Express and I am wondering if I could attach it to the wired network and have it join the wireless and act as the uplink between the two. Anyone know if the device is capable of this?
