  • Jsp cache problem

    I use javascript and css to build a multi-level drop down menu with following markups: <ul> <li>menu item 1</li> <ul> <li><a href="#">sub menu menu item 1</a></li> ................. This markup is generated by a custom JSTL tag <mui:menu .../> which loads menu data from a database. I hope my jsp page can behave like this: if menu data has not changed since last time I visited the page, just use browser's cache otherwise load from database... How can I do it? I don't know much detail about cache mechanism.

  • Problem with using Jquery.ajax over .load on Zend

    Right now, what i'm trying to do is to replace a label on the front page with a block of html. Right now, the page basically has: <label id="replace"></label> the js currently has: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#replace").load('/test'); }); the Zend class function has: public function indexAction(){ $this->_helper->layout()->disableLayout(); $this->_view->message = "This is from TestController index"; } and finally the index.phtml template simply has: <?php echo $this->message;?> Right now, I want to change the code around so that instead of just replacing that label with the same message, it would do a POST where the function will pull out a parameter, do something (like for instance, go to the database and pull something out with the POST parameter) and then return the message. I've tried editing the js so that it would look like: $.post('/test', {param : "test_param"}, function(data) {$("#replace").html(data);}); or $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: '/test', data: "{param:test_param}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(data) {$("#replace").html(data);} }); and neither worked. I took a step back and tried to replicate the .load functionality and do: $.ajax({ url: '/test', success: function(data) { $('#replace').html(data); alert('Load was performed.'); } }); and it doesn't work either. Anyone have any tips on how to go about doing this?

    Hello guys! I would like to hide the navigationbar with this code: [self.navigationController setNavigationBarHidden:navbarAndToolbarHidden animated:YES]; Do you see? It is animated, but it doesn't animated when I check... Also I tried to do this with toolbar with this code [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:navbarAndToolbarHidden animated:YES]; and it works perfectly. Any idea how to fix this?

    I need to print out the querystring value "?type=xxx" inside my .aspx-page, why doesn't this work: <%= Request.QueryString("type") %> While this does: <%= Request.QueryString(0) %> The first prints out nothing, the second one prints out the value as expected, but it isn't always the first value I want... Any ideas?

  • Problem when using \LaTeX \includegraphics with some PDF files

    I noticed some strange effects when including existing pdf graphics in my laTeX documents: Most file work flawlessly, but some PDFs that were created on a different machine (or from the web) cause the whole page on which they are embedded to become ever-so-slightly distorted. I only notice the difference in a side-by-side comparison, but once you see it, it's obvious. The text layout seems slightly broken, and when you zoom in you can see it better. I will try to make some screenshots to further elaborate, but in the meantime: Has anyone seen this before and how can I get rid of these distortions?

    Hi, I am trying to make a web call with the iPhone. I have done this before and it works fine but now I can't make it work. I am trying to use the following method call which the documentation says is availble in 2.0 and later: - (void)addValue:(NSString *)value forHTTPHeaderField:(NSString *)field; I am attempting to build for version 3.2 and 4.0. NSMutableURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url cachePolicy:NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringCacheData timeoutInterval:30]; [request addValue:@"0" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"]; The error that I'm getting is a runtime error that says "-[NSURLRequest addValue:forHTTPHeaderField:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x600e0c0" Can anyone tell me what I am missing that stops this code from working? However, when I change the name of checkbox to selectedids it works but I can't do so because I need all the ids that are selected on the POSTED page. I have an NSMutableArray that contains about 30 NSMutableArrays with NSNumber, NSDate and NSString Objects. I try to write the file using this call: bool result = [myArray writeToFile:[fileMethods getFullPath:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"iEts%@.arr", [aDate shortDateString]]] atomically:NO]; = result = FALSE. The Path method is: + (NSString *) getFullPath:(NSString *)forFileName { NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; return [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:forFileName]; } and the aDate call returns a shortDateString with ddMMyy. The NSLog NSLog(@"%@", [fileMethods getFullPath:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"iEts%@.arr", [aDate shortDateString]]]); on the path generation returns: /Users/me/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/86729620-EC1D-4C10-A799-0C638BB27933/Documents/iEts010510.arr FURTHER: It must have something to do with the Array of Arrays, since I also write 3 further simple arrays (containing NSStrings) that all succeed. The Array of Arrays gets generated using the addObject method Any ideas what could cause the trouble?

  • ASP.NET problem - Firebug shows odd behaviour

    I have an ASP.NET application that does a large database read. It loads up a gridview inside an update panel. In VS2008, just running on my local machine, it runs fantastically. In production (identical code, just published and put on one of our network servers), it runs slow as dirt. Debug is set to false, so this is not the cause of the slow down. I'm not an experienced web developer, so besides that, feel free to suggest the obvious. I have been using Firebug to determine what's going on, and here is what that has turned up: On production, there are around 500 requests. The timeline bar is very short. The size column varies from run to run, but is always the same for the duration of the run. Locally, there are about 30 requests. The timeline bar takes up the entire space. Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Also, I can't find much of anything on the web about this, so any references are helpful too.

  • Stored Procedure Permissions Problem

    I have migrated a set of SQL 2000 databases to SQL 2008. Most is working well, however I have some stored procedures that scheduled and run by SQL Server Agent jobs that are giving me troubles. Many of the scheduled stored procedures work, but the stored procs that access a database other than the default databases are failing with the following message: Executed as user: XYZ\YadaYada. The server principal: "XYZ\YadaYada" is not able to access the database "MyOtherDatabaseOnSameServer" under the current security context. [SQL STATE 08004](Error 619) The step failed. Obviously, I changed the names to protect the guilty. The account is a user in all of the relavent databases and is a memeber of db_owner, db_datareader, and db_datawriter. When I run these same procedures from a query window in SMS using the same accounts (I have tried many) they work fine. What am I missing?

    Hi All, There is a datagrid on my page which contains a lot of data. When i click on any row , the user is redirected to a page where he can edit the content of that row. But suppose I am at the bottom of page and then if I click on any row, the scrollbar of browser automatically shifts upwards which causes illusion for the user and make him confused if he has clicked on some other row. Is there any solution to this so that the position of scrollbar does not change after clicking on any data in datagrid. Thanks in advance.
