    Hi, I've installed SCCM SP2 - primary site, management point. I imported to it a vPro computer, but it's AMT status is "Unknown" instead of "Not Provisioned". I wanted to check the reason, but I can't find the file amtopmgr.log (it should be there). Why this file wasn't created? How can I solve it? (I tried to create this file manually - didn't help...)     I have auto recovery on my Excel program and I save my work several times a day. Tonight, I turned on the computer and it had shut down down for some apparent reason. When I pulled up my Excel program it only showed one auto recovery file form 8am this morning even though I worked/added onto my Excel sheet for several hours this afternoon. Is there any way to recover my work I did this afternoon?

    Does anyone know how to embed a video in a powerpoint presentation in such a way that it can be moved to another computer? Possible solutions I'm considering: Actually embed the video file into the powerpoint file. This would be ideal, but I don't know how to do this. Insert a reference to the video into the presentation. I need this to be a relative path, though, not an absolute path. EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm using powerpoint 2003

  • Bradford Dissolvable Agent not completing scan, application unexpectedly stops without error or report

    I've been trying to connect to a network that uses the dissolvable agent to scan and OK your computer. The scan gets to around 70% ish, I think the last notification is that it's searching for AVG then closes, without report or notification. I've tried running it in compatibility modes, checking registry, running CCleaner, running as administrator, creating another user account and disconnecting all other HDD's appart from my system drive. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and before I joined the network bradford ran fine and gave me the all okay.

    Possible Duplicate: Where can I download edx opensource learning platform? What other learning platforms are opensource? I have just found a query on the edx platform in which I am interested, being a significant piece of Learning Management System open source. I assume superuser platform cares about computer software, and therefore I don't see the question irrelevant.     I can't start amavis. It gives an error: Starting amavisd: Error in config file "/etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id": Insecure directory in $ENV{PATH} while running with -T switch at /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id line 7. On line 7 is: chomp($mydomain = `head -n 1 /etc/mailname`); This problem occured after restaring my computer. I don't know much about amavis, so any help is appreciated. Regards, Kristian

  • Adding features to an SQL Server 2008 standard with SP1

    I have MS SQL Server 2008 with SP1 installed. I want to add the Full text feature to the installation. Do I need to run the SP1 update again after I add this feature? If I do try to run it (SQLServer2008SP1-KB968369-x64-ENU) it fails with this error: "There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer". Should I uninstall SP1 and re-install? Doesnt make much sense.

  • Restore single users Exchange 2003 mailbox from backup

    I take weekly backups of exchange in full. I also take complete weekly backups of the entire server. It is a Server 2003 R2 with AD and Exchange 2003 all on one box. One users inbox has disappeared. She has 19000+ junk items now. It is possible the inbox got mixed into the junk. Regardless it is such a huge mess she is not going to go through all of that.... I want to restore he mailbox from the backup. I followed this MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823176 I had to use Method 3. I have a VM of Server 2003 R2 with exchange but I am having failures on the restore from NT backup. The backup log just states to check the application log.... Application log points to backup log... Only info Is failed to restore Only thing different is the computer name... The only error I can find is in the Application log. Information Store Database not found All others just say that the backup failed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. UPDATE I have successfully proven I can restore the DB into a recovery storage group in my VM Unfortunately due to the actual account being on a different store I am unable to do the recovery... Error is The attempt to log on to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer has failed. The MAPI provider failed. Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store ID no: 8004011d-0512-00000000 Two questions QUESTION 1 Should I repeat my steps on the production exchange server in the recover storage group? then merge into her original account? I am just concerned with doing recovery like that on the live server.... QUESTION 2 Is there any way I can extract her .PST from my recovery VM and then import into her outlook? On the Recovery VM: I restored the raw DB from my full backup repaired it with ESEUTIL then mounted in the recovery store. Was thinking I could just repeat and mount in the main store on the VM?     I keep getting "Data Execution Prevention" error in Windows Live Messenger. I have noticed that this is happening usually when I leave computer to get coffee, and screensaver comes up, WLM breaks. Is there any way to prevent this error from happening? I see I can turn off this "Data Execution Prevention", but is that safe, since I know that WLM is under heavy attacks from spammers/hackers? Thanks

  • S.M.A.R.T. Hard drive failure test?

    I'm working on my mom's computer and she freaked because it told her "There was an imminent hard drive failure about to occurr." I did some digging and found it was related to the S.M.A.R.T. technology in the hard drive. The message appears every time you boot, but it will still let you boot into Windows and every thing seems fine. How serious are these warning messages? Do we really need to immediately replace the hard drive?

    Hi, I am using Word 2010 and some built-in features with fields, such as bibliography. My Word installation is English and I am writing a report in US English. However, my computer has its locale set to Denmark. This affects the formatting of dates and some of the text in the auto-generated fields (e.g. in bibliography it says "citeret:" instead of "cited:").   • How to reconnect VPN automatically after sleep/hibernate on Vista/7?

    I'm using Win 7's built-in VPN client but every time I put my computer to sleep / hibernate mode and then wake it up again, the connection is lost and I need to reconnect manually. Is there any way to automate it? Wireless connections have a nice little checkbox ("automatically connect when this network is in range") but I couldn't find anything similar for VPN connections. Task scheduler maybe?
