    I have a plan to make a game using OpenGL for 3D world view, and CALayer(or UIView) for HUD UI. It's easy to imagine performance degrade from mixing them, but the document which mention this impact disappeared: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/technotes/tn2008/tn2230.html I cannot find the document on current version of SDK reference.     Hi Guys, I'm developing my first facebook app on kohana 2.3.x at the moment and I noticed that a usual app url should look like this: http://apps.facebook.com/{my_app}/{controller}/{method} But in my app it shows the real url. http://mydomain.com/{controller}/{method} Any idea how to fix that in Kohana?     Hello world, For one of my projects, I'm using the DOMDocument class to load and manipulate XML documents. I'd need to retrieve every namespace used in the document; however, I can't find how I'd do that. The DOMDocument class has methods to get the namespace prefix of an URI or the URI of a namespace prefix, but I've seen nothing to actually enumerate registered namespaces. The SimpleXML library has a getNamespaces() method for that. Is there an equivalent for DOMDocument?

  • Fragment Shader Eye-Space unscaled depth coordinate

    I'm trying to use the unscaled (true distance from the front clipping plane) distance to objects in my scene in a GLSL fragment shader. The gl_FragCoord.z value is smaller than I expect. In my vertex shader, I just use ftransform() to set gl_Position. I'm seeing values between 2 and 3 when I expect them to be between 15 and 20. How can I get the real eye-space depth? Thanks!

  • recaptcha still submits form when one word invalid

    Um so I was in for a little bit of a surprise tonight. I spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out why I was able to submit a form knowing that what I entered into the recaptcha field was invalid. Is it true that you don't need to input the exact words it displays? If it shows me two words and I misspelled one of the words, I still pass validation? Same goes if "hello world" and I input "hell man" it still works.

  • Abstraction is for lame programmers ? [closed]

    Hi, there's this senior developer in my company who's (in his own opinion) a pretty good C programmer. I happen to be from functional background (ML, to be specific) and so for me composition and abstraction are the two basic elements of programming. But this MrSmartyPants has got some kind of superiority complex and he'd always argue with me that abstraction is for lame programmers and _real_ programmers do not need it. Is it a problem with this guy or all C programmers have this opinion that abstraction is for lame programmers?
