  • NSMutableDictionary of NSMutableSets... sorting this out

    - by Mike
I have a NSMutableDictionary of NSMutableSets. Each set entry is a string, something like this: NSMutableSet *mySet = [NSMutableSet setWithObjects: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", time1], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", time2], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", time3], nil]; // time 1,2,3, are NSTimeInterval variables then I store each set on the dictionary using this: NSString *rightNowString = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", rightNow]; [myDict setValue:mySet forKey:rightNow]; // rightNow is NSTimeInterval as rightNow key can occur out of order, I end with a NSDictionary that is not ordered by rightNow. How can I sort this NSDictionary by its keys considering that they are numbers stored as strings on the dictionary...? I don't care for ordering the sets, just the dictionary. thanks for any help.

  • Cocoa NSStatusBar Global HotKey

    - by Craig
I have created an NSStatusBar cocoa application which sits in the system status bar. I want to assign a hotkey so that when pressed it toggles my applications and show the menu. Is this possible?, In my searching and experimenting I have found a few different ways of assigning global hot keys that can be pressed when your application is in the background but I can't find any way to problematically make the menu show. Is this possible?, If anyone thinks a way of assigning a global hotkey is best please post it. Thanks. One of the hotkey tutorials I found was on http://dbachrach.com/blog/2005/11/program-global-hotkeys-in-cocoa-easily/ for anyone interested.

  • libxml2dom and parsing

    - by Ockonal
    Hello, I have the html-content in some python-variable. Is it possible to use DOM for it? As I understand, libxml2dom is the tool for this. And about question. In my html there is div with id = 'some_needed_block'. In python-script: pageData = someHandler.read() pageDOM = libxml2dom.parseString(pageData, html=1) print pageDOM -> <libxml2dom.Document object at 0x2d160d0> block = pageDOM.getElementById('some_needed_block') print block -> <libxml2dom.Node object at 0xf5d1d0> def collect_text(node): s = "" for child_node in node.childNodes: if child_node.nodeType == child_node.TEXT_NODE: s += child_node.nodeValue else: s += collect_text(child_node) return s collect_text(block) -> for child_node in node.childNodes: -> AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'childNodes'

  • Error when specifying tag attributes in NHaml

    - by jessegavin
I am just getting started with NHaml and ran into a snag. This is my application.haml file: %html %head %title = Get Some Data %link{ href="/media/css/styles.css", rel="Stylesheet", type="text/css" } %body %div.page %h1 = Get Some Data _ When I try to view in a browser it throw the following error: NHaml.Exceptions.SyntaxException: The attribute ',' is occurs twice. If I remove the line beginning with %link it works fine. What am I doing wrong? I am following the step-by-step from Brian Hartsock: http://blog.brianhartsock.com/2009/01/15/using-nhaml-from-source/#nhaml_reference

  • fluent nhibernate m-to-m with column

    - by csetzkorn
Hi, I am used to hbm files and started using fluent nhibernate recently. Creating an m-to-m relationship between two entities A and B is quite simple In A I create: public virtual IList Bs { get; set; } and then I use: mapping.HasManyToMany(x = x.Bs); That’s it and I can do: A a = new A(); a.Bs.Add(b); My problem is that I would like to have an additional column in my dedicated m-to-m database table which holds the two foreign keys. What is the simplest way to achieve this in FNH? Would I have to create a dedicated entity for the m-to-m realtionship or is there a simpler solution? Thanks. Best wishes, Christian

  • Getting weird python error when I run a simple django script in Eclipse, not happening in console

    - by Rhubarb
I am running a basic script that sets up the django environment by itself, to enable me to test the ORM features of django without having to implement web pages. The script then imports one of the types defined in my models. This error doesn't happen when I run this script from iPython, only from eclipse. Simply doing this import causes a weird exception like the following: Exception AttributeError: "'NoneType' object has no attribute 'print_exc'" in <bound method Signal._remove_receiver of <django.dispatch.dispatcher.Signal object at 0x026802B0>> ignored My script is as follows: from django.core.management import setup_environ import settings setup_environ(settings) from stats.models import Person for p in Person.objects.all(): print p.Name

  • ER Diagram flaws

    - by spacker_lechuck
I have the following ER Diagram for a bank database - customers may have several accounts, accounts may be held jointly by several customers, and each customer is associated with an account set and accounts are members of one or more account sets. What design rules are violated? What modifications should be made and why? So far, a few flaws I'm not sure about are: 1) Redundant owner-address attribute in AcctSets Entity. 2) This ER does not include accounts with multiple owners with different addresses. My Question is: How would I go about fixing these flaws and/or other flaws that I may be missing from my analysis? Thanks!

  • Problem deserializing xml file

    - by Andy
    I auto generated an xsd file from the below xml and used xsd2code to get a c# class. The problem is the entire xml doesn't deserialize. Here is how I'm attempting to deserialize: static void Main(string[] args) { using (TextReader textReader = new StreamReader("config.xml")) { // string temp = textReader.ReadToEnd(); XmlSerializer deserializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(project)); project p = (project)deserializer.Deserialize(textReader); } } here is the actual XML: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <project> <scm class="hudson.scm.SubversionSCM"> <locations> <hudson.scm.SubversionSCM_-ModuleLocation> <remote>https://svn.xxx.com/test/Validation/CPS DRTest DLL/trunk</remote> </hudson.scm.SubversionSCM_-ModuleLocation> </locations> <useUpdate>false</useUpdate> <browser class="hudson.scm.browsers.FishEyeSVN"> <url>http://fisheye.xxxx.net/browse/Test/</url> <rootModule>Test</rootModule> </browser> <excludedCommitMessages></excludedCommitMessages> </scm> <openf>Hello there</openf> <buildWrappers/> </project> When I run the above, the locations node remains null.   • Python: Why can't I use `super` on a class?

    - by cool-RR
Why can't I use super to get a method of a class's superclass? Example: Python 3.1.3 >>> class A(object): ... def my_method(self): pass >>> class B(A): ... def my_method(self): pass >>> super(B).my_method Traceback (most recent call last): File "<pyshell#2>", line 1, in <module> super(B).my_method AttributeError: 'super' object has no attribute 'my_method' (Of course this is a trivial case where I could just do A.my_method, but I needed this for a case of diamond-inheritance.) According to super's documentation, it seems like what I want should be possible. This is super's documentation: (Emphasis mine) super() - same as super(__class__, <first argument>) super(type) - unbound super object super(type, obj) - bound super object; requires isinstance(obj, type) super(type, type2) - bound super object; requires issubclass(type2, type) [non-relevant examples redacted]

  • Getting the Action during model binding

    - by Kieron
Hi, Is there a way of getting the Action, and reading any attributes, during the model binding phase? The scenario is this: I've got a default model binder set-up for a certain data-type, but depending on how it's being used (which is controlled via an attribute on the action) I need to ignore a set of data. I can use the RouteData on the controller context and see the action name, which I can use to go get the data, but wondered if that information is already available. Additionally, if the action in question is an asynchronous one, they'd be more processing involved in looking it up...

  • accepts_nested_attributes_for ignore blank values

    - by Mike
i have class Profile has_many :favorite_books, :dependent => :destroy has_many :favorite_quotes, :dependent => :destroy accepts_nested_attributes_for :favorite_books, :allow_destroy => true accepts_nested_attributes_for :favorite_quotes, :allow_destroy => true end I have a dynamic form where you press '+' to add new textareas for creating new favorites. What i want to do is ignore the blank ones, I find this harder to sort through in the update controller than a non nested attribute. What i have temporarily is a hack in the after_save callback deleting the empty records. Whats the most rails way to ignore these blank objects? I dont want validation and errors, just a silent deletion/ignore.

  • Iterating through nested dictionaries

    - by Framester
I want to write an iterator for my 'toy' Trie implementation. Adding already works like this: class Trie: def __init__(self): self.root = dict() pass def add(self, string, value): global nops current_dict = self.root for letter in s: nops += 1 current_dict = current_dict.setdefault(letter, {}) current_dict = current_dict.setdefault('value', value) pass The output of the adding looks like that: trie = Trie() trie.add("hello",1) trie.add("world",2) trie.add("worlds",12) print trie.root {'h': {'e': {'l': {'l': {'o': {'value': 1}}}}}, 'w': {'o': {'r': {'l': {'d': {'s': {'value': 2}, 'value': 2}}}}}} I know, that I need a __iter__ and next method. def __iter__(self): self.root.__iter__() pass def next(self): print self.root.next() But AttributeError: 'dict' object has no attribute 'next'. How should I do it? [Update] In the perfect world I would like the output to be one dict with all the words/entries with their corresponding values.

  • Will the following code be Garbage Collected before the class "dies"?

    - by devoured elysium
Let's say we have the following code in a class: //class code TextBox t = new TextBox(); ListBox l = new ListBox(); We have then two possible situations: In the first, we declare qem1 as a class variable(or attribute, as they call it in the Java World): //class variable QuickEntryMediator qem1 = new QuickEntryMediator(t,l); In the second, we declare it inside a method: //method variable QuickEntryMediator qem2 = new QuickEntryMediator(t,l); So, I'd say qem1 would never be Garbage Collected before the class goes out of scope while in the qem2 might be Garbage Collected at any time after the method in which it resides dies. Is this true? I am looking for answers for both C#(.net) and Java, as am I am not sure both GC's work in the same fashion! Thanks

  • JPA Cascading Delete: Setting child FK to NULL on a NOT NULL column

    - by JBristow
I have two tables: t_promo_program and t_promo_program_param. They are represented by the following JPA entities: @Entity @Table(name = "t_promo_program") public class PromoProgram { @Id @Column(name = "promo_program_id") private Long id; @OneToMany(cascade = {CascadeType.REMOVE}) @JoinColumn(name = "promo_program_id") private List<PromoProgramParam> params; } @Entity @Table(name = "t_promo_program_param") public class PromoProgramParam { @Id @Column(name = "promo_program_param_id") private Long id; //@NotNull // This is a Hibernate annotation so that my test db gets created with the NOT NULL attribute, I'm not married to this annotation. @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name = "PROMO_PROGRAM_ID", referencedColumnName = "promo_program_id") private PromoProgram promoProgram; } When I delete a PromoProgram, Hibernate hits my database with: update T_PROMO_PROGRAM_PARAM set promo_program_id=null where promo_program_id=? delete from t_promo_program where promo_program_id=? and last_change=? I'm at a loss for where to start looking for the source of the problem.

  • Visual studio does not gray out properties with a ReadOnlyAttribute(true)

    - by Fire-Dragon-DoL
I know it's stupid but visual studio (2010) doesn't gray out my properties tagged with ReadOnlyAttribute, I can't edit their values (if I try to do it, simply return to the previous value), but they aren't grayed out, I think it's really boring this when using the editor Is there an option or an attribute that I'm forgetting? Thanks for any help Example 1: /// <summary> /// Inform if the LcdDisplay has been already initiated /// </summary> [Description("Inform if the LcdDisplay has been already initiated")] [DefaultValue(false)] [ReadOnly(true)] public bool Initialized { get; private set; } Initialized is not grayed out

  • Jquery Fast image switching

    - by echedey lorenzo
Hi, I have a php class that generates a map image depending on my db data. It is periodically updated thru a serInterval loop. I am trying to update it with no flickering but I just can't. I've tried different methods (preloader, imageswitcher) with no success. //first load function map() { $("#map").html("<img src=map.php?randval="+Math.random()+">"); } //update it from setInterval calls function updatemap() { $("#map").fadeOut(function() { $(this).load(function() { $(this).fadeIn(); }); $(this).attr("src", "map.php?randval="+Math.random()); }) } Is there any way to update the image with no flickering at all? I would prefer an inmediate swap insteado of a fade. The problem I'm having is that after calling updatemap() the image just dissapears. ¿Maybe it is a problem with the attribute src I am parsing? THanks for your help.

  • dojo parser not escaping quotation marks in attributes?

Whenever I'm using quotation marks inside an attribute value in dojo, it seems dojo's parser isn't handling it very well... <textarea name="content.locale['en']" dojoType="dijit.form.SimpleTextarea"> </textarea> Turns into: <textarea ]="" en="" name="content.locale["></textarea> With the surrounding <div>s and what not is added by the dijit widget. Any ideas? EDIT Seems this is working as it should with other elements, it's just the SimpleTextarea that's causing a problem..

My DAO classes accept both an EntityManager and EntityManagerFactory via the @PersistenceContext attribute, and they work find if I load them up and run them without the @ContextConfiguration attribute (i.e. if I just use the XmlApplcationContext to load the DAO and the EntityManagerFactory directly in setUp ()). • Help in XPath expression

    - by Ashish Gupta
    I have an XML document which contains nodes like following:- <a class="custom">test</a> <a class="xyz"></a> I was tryng to get the nodes for which class is NOT "Custom" and I wrote an expression like following:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']]"); Now, I want to get IMG tags as well and I want to add the following experession as well to the above expression:- //*[self::IMG or self::img] ...so that I get all the IMG nodes as well and any tag other than having "custom" as value in the class attribute. Any help will be appreciated. EDIT :- I tried the following and this is an invalid syntax as this returns a boolean and not any nodelist:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']] && [self::IMG or self::img]");

  • Modern way to handle and validate POST-data in MVC 2

    - by zerkms
There are a lot of articles devoted to working with data in MVC, and nothing about MVC 2. So my question is: what is the proper way to handle POST-query and validate it. Assume we have 2 actions. Both of them operates over the same entity, but each action has its own separated set of object properties that should be bound in automatic manner. For example: Action "A" should bind only "Name" property of object, taken from POST-request Action "B" should bind only "Date" property of object, taken from POST-request As far as I understand - we cannot use Bind attribute in this case. So - what are the best practices in MVC2 to handle POST-data and probably validate it. UPD: After Actions performed - additional logic will be applied to the objects so they become valid and ready to store in persistent layer. For action "A" - it will be setting up Date to current date.

  • load/unload C dll with C# problems

    - by Goran
I'm having problems with external native DLL. I'm working on ASP.NET 1.1 web application and have this DLL which I load through DLLImport directives. This is how I map DLL functions: [DllImport("somedllname", CallingConvention=CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern int function1(string lpFileName, string lpOwnerPw,string lpUserPw); [DllImport("somedllname", CallingConvention=CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern int function2(int nHandle); I call the dll methods and all works great, but I have problems with this DLL crashing my web site on some cases, so I would like an option to unload the dll after I use it. I found a solution at this link, but I don't have 'UnmanagedFunctionPointer' attribute in .NET 1.1 available. http://blogs.msdn.com/jonathanswift/archive/2006/10/03/Dynamically-calling-an-unmanaged-dll-from-.NET-_2800_C_23002900_.aspx Is there a way I can achieve what this guy did with his example?

  • Export a SQL database into a CSV file and use it with WEKA

    - by Simon
How can I export a query result from a .sql database into a .csv file? I tried with SELECT * FROM players INTO OUTFILE 'players.csv' FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' LINES TERMINATED BY ';';` and my .csv file is something like: p1,1,2,3 p2,1,4,5 But they are not in saparated columns, all are in 1 column. I tried to create a .csv file by myself just to try WEKA, something like: p1 1 2 3 p2 1 4 5 But WEKA recognizes p1 1 2 3 as a single attribute. So: how can I export correctly a table from a sql db to a csv file? And how can I use it with WEKA?
