• Visual Studio Publish using Web Deploy gives SSL Exception?

  Im trying to use Web Deploy with arvixe hosting. I enabled Publishing with the host but I get SSL exception when I hit publish. Is anybody familiar with the following exception: Error 59 Web deployment task failed.(Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'.) Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'.   Hello, I'd like to know if there is a way to create and launch a Remote Desktop Session on a Windows Server programmatically. I'm trying to make an automatic tool to create Local Users and then launch the associate RDP session. I've already made LocalUser creation and adding them to Remote Desktop Users (using net.exe). But I'm struck with the next step : create and launch user's rdp-session. I don't know how to handle this problem without having the Remote Desktop Client Gui. I'm working on a Windows Server 2003 and I'm using VS2008 with .NET 3.5. Regards.

• How can I impersonate the current user with IronPython?

  I am trying to manage an IIS7 installation remotely using the Microsoft.Web.Administration library. My research into the error lead me to believe that I do not have the proper credentials against the remote machine and so I would like to impersonate a user that does. I was hard pressed to find a way to do this with IronPython. Any help is much appreciated.

  I'm working on GAE-J/GWT app, wherein a desktop app connects to the GAE-J component, and there is also a web-app component whose front-end is written in GWT, and the GAE-J backend supports both the desktop app and the web app. I have a good amount of experience with writing pure server code and desktop code, but not so much on the web-app side of things. So I'm looking to study some good sophisticated open source code to see how other's have done things, but I can't find much open source GWT and/or GAE-J stuff, other than frameworks. Does anyone know of any good projects out there?

• WindowsPhone App data connection FAILS in MarketPlace published App but WORKS in Visual Studio development (same XAP)

  Tearing my hair out(!) My last App update has been accepted and released by MarketPlace but the remote server data connection does NOT work/connect from the downloaded App (from MarketPlace). However, the same App (the accepted XAP) when I'm running it from Visual Studio, using the same remote server address works just fine. WHY!... Has anyone else ever run into anything like this? Here's the remote path: http://www.streamcommunication.com/ZenAwaken/DownloadableCollections.xml I can load that to a browser and retrieve the XML When I'm in Visual Studio I can connect via that path and retrieve the file and consume the data BUT!! The exact same XAP which has been accepted and distributed by Windows Phone marketplace FAILS. Is it possible that MarketPlace does something (encryption?) to the XAP that would corrupt the path string? Any thoughts or experiences would be very helpful! Tom

Actions taken: Downloaded and installed the dotTrace Profiler 5.5 from the JetBrains website Downloaded the dotTrace.Performance.Remote version 5.5.0 from Nuget Published the website to WAWS via Visual Studio 2013 Started the dotTrace application as Administrator Connected to the remote _https://subdomain.azurwebsites.net/AgentService.asmx.   We have a web service written in Rails. The API is published and we cannot change it. Our app communicates with a remote web service that sometimes hangs or takes several seconds to reply. Client -> Our Web Service -> Remote Web Service Currently, if the remote web service hangs for 5 seconds, one of our rails processes on our web service also hangs with it, which is what we need to avoid. I've seen things such as mod-x-sendfile, modporter, and delayed jobs, but the best I can tell, they all assume the client is not waiting for an answer. Since the API is already established, we cannot tell the client "I'm attempting to do what you want, check back later for the answer." The best option we have come up with so far is to add a second, non-rails web server running eventmachine to process these particular calls. Is there a better way?

  hi, I have a wxPython application. I am taking in a directory path from a textbox using GetValue(). I notice that while trying to parse in the directory path "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\InputFile.xls", python sees the string as 'C:\\Documents and Settings\UserName\\Desktop\\InputFile.xls' (missing a slash between "Settings" and "UserName). Why is it that only that slash is not correctly escaped? Once the string has been changed to 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\InputFile.xls', is there a type conversion or function that can does this properly? Thanks.

  I see answers to similar questions and I'm sure I may just not be familiar enough with Git and Github terminology to know if they apply to my question. What I need to do is to clone an existing Github remote repository (a private repo under another person's username that I have contributor access to) and create a new private remote repo under my account. The existing repo user is going to make significant alterations to the repo, delete, and re-push, before they do that they want me to clone and create a duplicate so we can continue working from the repo under my user. I want to preserve the commit history with the repo if possible. I've cloned locally but don't can't seem to figure out how to push it to a new remote that isn't origined to the original user.

File access is done both via java.io.File and by CFFILE (which in turn also uses java.io.File), but not centralised in any way into a single file access library. Further, say you have file paths both hard-coded in the code, and also in a database. In other words, assume the file paths themselves cannot change. They could be either local or remote Windows file paths: c:\temp\file.txt \\server\share\file.txt Is there a way to run this application on Linux with minimal code changes? I'm looking for creative solutions that do not involve touching the legacy code. Some ideas: Run it on WINE. This actually works, because WINE will translate the local paths, and has a samba client for the remote paths. Is there a way to override java.io.File to perform the file path translation with custom code? In this case, I would translate the remote paths to a mount point.

• How do I run my application while a UAC dialog window is showing?

  I have an application that I wrote in .NET. It needs to remain running and have access the desktop that the UAC dialog windows open on and interact with that desktop using keyboard and mouse events. It's sort of like a VNC program. Imagine you are running a VNC program and a UAC window pops up, you want your VNC program to still be able to control the desktop with the UAC window in it so that the user can move the mouse and click the OK button on the UAC dialog.   This question already has an answer here: Not booting from USB or CD (SYSLINUX Message) 10 answers this what is happening, i downloaded (ubuntu-gnome-14.04.1-desktop) and (elementaryos-unstable-amd64.20140810) to try out in my laptop and i have use (unetbootin-windows-608) and (Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.5.5) but i get this message every time i try to boot from the usb (SYSLINUX 4.07 EDD 2013-07-25 Copyright (C) 1994-2013 H. Peter Anvin et al) however i tried in an old desktop that i have and it works although the installer gets stuck on most of the time at the part of reading partitions/hard drives so please i really need help with this. note: i did installed os x long time ago and i broke windows installation then fix it following some online tutorials just for FYI thanks please can somebody help to fix this problem, i have been looking on google but haven't found anything in concrete. please help
