• Magento started showing PHP language errors since I downloaded the blank theme using Connect

  I used the Magento Connect downloader to install the blank theme extension, but I did not switch to it as I was unable to access any-page anymore. Instead, it started showing php errors for front-end and Magento generated security errors for admin. Frontend Error: Fatal error: Call to a member function toHtml() on a non-object in D:\xampp\htdocs\newpinch\app\code\core\Mage\Core\Model\Layout.php on line 529 Admin error on Log-in: There has been an error processing your request Exception printing is disabled by default for security reasons. Error log record number: 1608724822 Link to the theme extension I installed. I didn't even change the theme from the default, can anyone please tell me what am I doing wrong. I just installed the theme and then clicked on "Return to admin" in Magento Connect but it was unable to go instead started refreshed the Magento Connect page, only this time without any CSS styling. The only page that still appears correctly is the admin log-in page. Please help me, I have already tried the forums at magentocommerce.com and their community sucks. 0 views & 0 replies. please help...

• Positioning problem in VIsta when Aero Theme is enabled

  Hi, I have a Windows form which has tab pages. On a Tab Page, I have a Combo Box. When I click the combobox a drop down opens up just below the combo box to give the impression of a drop down. The drop down is a windows form and this is how I set its position Popup.Location = control.PointToScreen(parentcontrol.PointToClient(new System.Drawing.Point(0, control.Height))); Popup = drop down that opens below the combo box (Windows Form) control = my combo box (Combo Box) parentcontrol = the windows form on which the control is present (Parent Form) Problem:- The X coordinate is not plotted correctly on the screen with Aero theme enabled. This works perfectly fine on XP (with some variance in y due to tablelayout panel i assume). But when i use the same code on Vista with Aero theme enabled the x-cordinate wanders away about 20-30 pixels. If I Turn Aero theme off on Vista, it works fine. I have found the X and Y coordiantes calculated in both cases are the same. But the way Vista draws these coordinates on the screen (when aero theme is enabled) is different. • Someone selling my GPL theme

  I'm having a tough time trying to figure out the best way to handle this. I've created a few themes last year, released them under a GPL license, and pretty much forgot about them. My goal was to put them out publicly as samples of my work. I've recently come across a site and was shocked they are selling one of my themes among several other themes (not mine) and other support and package systems. Anyway needless to say I'm not happy about this. I did not intend for those themes to be sold, and if they are to be sold, at least I would expect a percentage of those sales. I contacted the website asking how many they sold and that I'm the author of one of the themes they were selling. I eventually received a reply that my theme is a GPL theme and that this license allows them to sell it without compensation to me. WTF? Just the way the reply was worded pissed me off. There is no way to comment on the site to inform possible buyers that those themes can be downloaded from my site. What can I do about this? I realize now it was a bad choice to release them under that license. Is it possible to take back the theme from public distribution or is it out forever. Can I change it from GPL to another license at this point? Will that be sufficient to stop the sale of my theme in the future? Any insights are appreciated.

• setting write permissions on theme subdirectory?

  I've a theme which supports multiple templates, each with a header background image whose color can be set by the site owner via a colorpicker widget in my theme's options panel. This has the effect of opening the background image, recoloring it and resaving it back to the server. I've had zero issues with this routine until recently when a customer installed the theme on a web host whose default read/write permissions are apparently much more restrictive than the norm. In this case, the user was unable to alter the colors of the template images because of the permissions settings. I'm looking for a bit of understanding on what the permissions would need to be (assuming I purposefully set them via script) to allow the logged in wordpress user to write to files under my theme's styles directory.   Hello there! I want to convert a alpha transparent png image to palette based png image. • Drupal - Search box not working - custom theme template

  Hello, I am using a customised version of search-theme-from.tpl When I use the search box, I do get transferred to the search page. But the search does not actually take place. The search box on the search results page does work though. • Confused about theme function calls.

  I've created a content type that has a CCK text field. When I select the text field using the Drupal Themer widget it tells me the last function called was theme_text_formatter_default() , which I found in the CCK text.module It also tells me that it's parents were; content-field.tpl.php < theme_markup < theme_markup < node.tpl.php < page.tpl.php So I assumed that somewhere in the content-field.tpl.php was the function call to theme('text_formatter_default',$element) but it wasn't in there. Just print $item['view'] used to display the content. I searched all the project files for theme('text_formatter_default',$element) and it doesn't exist. I know it's being called by the theme function as I override it in my template.php and it used my overridden function, which would only happen if was using the theme_hook$. Wouldn't it? So how is it being called? It's not that I need to override it. I'm just learning how drupal works and thought I had it sussed until this. Something must be calling it. Also, the function theme_text_formatter_default exists in the theme registry and it's overridable (if that's a word) as I did so in my template.php and it displayed. It's all quite confusing. Any help would be much appreciated

Which is strange since I have written "#000000" in all color fields. But if I remove the setTextColor code, gets the textView a light grey color, and when I press it, it becomes black. But that aren't the colors that I want. So, can anyone help me with this problem? Just to clarify: I want to be able to specify the colors for the text when it's normal, pressed and focused.

  Hello, I just bought an HTC Touch Pro2. I previously have used a MotoQ. On the Q, I managed to write XML code to change my color scheme (not just the bars, but the background color and font colors.) I cannot seem to find how to do this on the HTC. I will explain: I am legally blind and can only see my phone if the colors are reversed i.e. I need the background of all menus and such to be black and the font to be white. Can anyone help me? I am a desperate woman!!!!

• Photoshop CS4. How do I make sure my color stays the same in my different .psd files? (could be RGB

  I asked 2 photoshop experts I know but they haven't got a clue because all my settings are exactly the same, in both files. (except the RGB type !! I'm not sure. Please read on) I use RGB color, 72DPI, 8 bits / channel. No adjustments (filters, like greyscale, etc ...) are selected / used. The layers are both normal, and opacity and fill are 100% (yes, in both files). Now, I know the CMYK settings (see screenshots) are different, but when the settings are the same the color changes. Why is this happening and how do I solve this problem? My guess is I'm working with different a type of RGB. It's sRGB IE61966 - 2.1 in the file I created (file info raw data) but I can't find that in the file that started with a screenshot. If that's the problem, how do I change / convert the RGB, once the file is already open? Thank you.

  I've being trying to add a theme from the Silverlight toolkit to a project. In the project there are a number of existing styles used in the layout. The problem is when any control has an explict style applied to it does not receive any attributes of the style from the theme. In WPF I would use something like BasedOn={x:Type TextBox}, but this is not supported in Silverlight. I've considered going through the theme and setting a key for every style and then using BasedOn to create both an implicit style to use with the ImplictStyleManager, as well as another explicit style for use with the existing styled controls. Have you got any better ideas?

• Manipulate Page Theme Programatically

  I've got the following Setup in my Theme: \App_Themes\Default\StyleSheet.css \App_Themes\Default\PrintStyleSheet.css The PrintStyleSheet.css file has a set of printing css rules set in them wrapped in an @Media Print { } block. I need a way to programmatically remove the PrintStyleSheet.css from the list of css files for ASP.NET to inject based on some flags. (Some instances we want to print the site verbatim without custom formatting). I know i could build a seperate theme without the PrintStyleSheet.css in it and switch the theme programmatically, however this would introduce duplication of my master stylesheet which is not acceptable. Any ideas?

  I'm attempting to place some embed code into a Premium WordPress Theme. NOTE: I'm not great when it comes to php. The embed code is produced by a video player called EasyVideoPlayer. (Basically it allows me to use Amazon S3 and gives me feedback on when people stop watching the video.)   I have a list of node ids and I want to display the 'page' view of each one. For various reasons, I don't want to do this with views, and don't think I should need a module. Just an API call to theme('node'). Something like: $nids = array(3,4,5); foreach ($nids as $nid) { $node = node_load($nid); $result .= theme('node', $node); } but I'm not getting back the full page view of the node. I added this to my node-[type].tpl.php file: if ($page) print "PAGE MODE "; else print "NOT PAGE "; if ($teaser) print "TEASER MODE "; else print "NOT TEASER "; and got: NOT PAGE NOT TEASER I seem to be in some kind of limbo. I suspect there's an argument that I add to the theme function, but the terms are all so general (theme, teaser, page, node), I'm having trouble with my google-fu.

You can repro it easily with the SimpleRibbon SDK sample. • Windows 7 Aero Theme when on Battery

  Windows 7 has the full and basic aero themes that can be changed inside personalization. Windows used to automatically disable Windows Aero (transparency) when I unplug my laptop from the mains. I reset the theme and now it doesn't do this anymore. I can't seem to find how to enable this again. I've checked the advanced power options and control panel but turning back on this feature is eluding me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
