  • Loading Eclipse plug-ins from source .jar without project file

    I have a number of plug-ins meant for the OSGi framework. They have been bundled in individual .jars containing the source .java files as well as the needed MANIFEST.MF and plugin.properties files. The problem is, I wish to edit these. What is the best/easiest way to import them as plug-ins into Eclipse so that I can continue as if I had been handed an eclipse project with source files (instead of the .jar files).     Suppose I have a VC++ project contains no of(say e.g 5) Source files(.cpp files),it will generate 5 .obj files(obj files corresponding to my .cpp's files not all kernel and OS layers including .obj files) e.g my project includes xyz_1.cpp,xyz_2.cpp,xyz_3.cpp,xyz_4.cpp,it will corresponds 4 respective .objs. By programtaically HOW CAN I TAKE AND GET THE NAMES OF THESE 4 .OBJ files at runtime(On run time I need to check how many obj files & names of those objs). REMEMBER I DON'T NEED ALL KERNEL AND OS LAYER .OBJS I ONLY NEED OBJS OF MY .CPPs. Regards Usman

  • Project Active Executable can no longer be iPhone 3.2

    I don't know how much you can help me because its under the NDA, but I recently updated to the OS 4 beta 3 xcode version. My project worked fine under 3.2 but under 4.0 parts are a not quite right I assume because it is still being developed. Every other installation of the beta sdk I could go into the project settings and select the iPhone 3.2 sdk and then change the target iPhone OS in the top left of Xcode but not this one. If I select 3.2 it still loads on 4.0 it seems I only have the 4.0 simulator. Under Active Target there is only 4.0. Any ideas how to get the 3.2 Simulator back?

  • Visual Studio 2008 project organization for executable and assembly

    Hi - I am having a problem setting up the following in Visual Studio 2008: a parent project which includes the entrypoint Main() method class and which declares an interface, and a child project which has classes that implement the interface declared in the parent project. I have specified that Parent's Output type is a Console application, and Child's Output type is a Class library. In Child I have add a reference to the Parent as a project, and specified that Child depends on Parent and that the build order should be Parent, then Child. The build succeeds, and as far I can tell, the right things show up in the Child/bin/debug directory: Parent.exe and Child.dll. However, if I run Parent.exe, then at the point when it should load a class from the Child.dll, it fails with the error message: exception executing operation System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'Child.some.class' from assembly 'Parent, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. I guess I'm confused as to how to get the Parent and Child projects to play together. I plan on having more child projects that use the same framework that is set up in the Parent, and so I do not want to move the entrypoint class down into the Child project. If I try to specify that the Child project is also a Console application, then the build process fails because there is no Main() entrypoint class in the child (even though the Parent project is included as a reference).   • Obtaining information about executable code from exe/pdb

    Hello, I need to extract code (but not data!) from classic win32 exe/dll files. It's clear I can't do this only with extraction of code segment content (because code segment contains also the data -- jump tables for example) and that I need some help from compiler. *.map files are nice but they only contain addresses of functions, i.e. the safest thing I can do is to start at that address and to process until the first return / jump instruction (because part of the function could be mentioned data) *.pdb files are better but I'm not sure what tools to use to extract information like this -- I took a look at DbgHelp and DIA SDK, the latter one seems to be the right tool but it doesn't look very simple. So my question/questions: To your knowledge, it is possible to extract information about code/data position (address + length) only via DbgHelp? If the DIA SDK is the only way, any idea what should I call for getting information like that? (that COM stuff is pretty heavy) Is there any other way? Of course my concern is about Visual Studio, C/C++ source compilation in the first place. Thanks for any hint.

The client company has the latest release versions of Java SE, .NET and Adobe AIR installed on all their machines.     Hello I have created a setup for my windows application in .NET 2008 After building the same i have the .msi and setup.exe files in my release folder. The problem i am facing is : I can install the application using the msi installer files from the shared network folder. But when i copy the installer locally and tried to install it, i get the following error: Error reading file.Please Try again.   • How do I exclude the sources jar in mvn deploy?

    When I run "mvn deploy:deploy", maven deploys 4 jar files to my internal remote repository. They are: [module-name]-1.jar [module-name]-1.pom [module-name]-1-sources.jar [module-name]-1-tests.jar There are actually more files, such as md5 and sha1 files, being deployed. But for simplicity, I just skip these files here. Is there any way to exclude [module-name]-1-sources.jar from the deployment process? One way I can think of is to use "mvn deploy:deploy-file", which allows me to pinpoint which jar to deploy. But since I have a few dozen modules to deploy, it'll be nice if I can configure the deployment file exclusion in pom.xml. Otherwise, I'll have to write a script to deploy. Thanks, Richard

  • Shipping Java code with data baked into the .jar

    I need to ship some Java code that has an associated set of data. It's a simulator for a device, and I want to be able to include all of the data used for the simulated records in the one .JAR file. In this case, each simulated record contains four fields (calling party, called party, start of call, call duration). What's the best way to do that? I've gone down the path of generating the data as Java statements, but IntelliJ doesn't seem particularly happy dealing with a 100,000 line Java source file! Is there a smarter way to do this? In the C#/.NET world I'd create the data as a separate file, embed it in the assembly as a resource, and then use reflection to pull that out at runtime and access it. I'm unsure of what the appropriate analogy is in the Java world. FWIW, Java 1.6, shipping for Solaris.

    I am working on a simple java code to extract all calendar entries for a given date. I know it possible using Domingo but I would like to use only Notes.jar for this purpose. It is possible for me to create a session based on a given credentials and get the calendar object. I am looking to extract the current running notes session and use that session object to open the calendar view in the mail file and start playing with it. But I am not able to get it working. Anybody have any idea or links on this ?

  • Calling a protected Windows executable with Perl

    I'm trying to write a perl script that determines which users are currently logged into Windows by using query.exe (c:\Windows\system32\query.exe). Perl is unable to access this file, unable to execute it, even unable to see that it exists, as I've found with the following code: print `dir c:\\windows\\system32\\query*`; This produces the following output: 07/13/2009 05:16 PM 1,363,456 Query.dll 1 File(s) 1,363,456 bytes 0 Dir(s) 183,987,658,752 bytes free I've checked the user executing the script using perl's getlogin function, and it returns the name of a member of the local Administrators group (specifically, me). I've also tried adding read/execute permissions for "Everyone", but windows keeps giving me access denied errors when I try to modify this file's permissions. Finally, I've tried running perl.exe as an administrator but that doesn't fix the problem either. Is this something I can solve by changing some settings in Windows? Do I need to add something to my perl script? Or is there just no way to grant perl access to some of these processes?

  • Problem with RVM and gem that has an executable

    Hi there, I've recently made the plunge to use RVM on Ubuntu. Everything seems to have gone swimmingly...except for one thing. I'm in the process of developing a gem of mine that has a script placed within its own bin/ directory, all of the gemspec and things were generated by Jeweler. The bin/mygem file contains the following code: - #!/usr/bin/env ruby begin require 'mygem' rescue LoadError require 'rubygems' require 'mygem' end app = MyGem::Application.new app.run That was working fine on the system version of Ruby. Now...recently I've moved to RVM to manage my ruby versions a bit better, except now my gem doesn't appear to be working.     I have a <div id="comment_posting_holder"> tag that holds a form with two elements: a textarea box and a submit button. I want to have the div tag (containing the textarea and submit button) disappear if I click somewhere "OTHER" than the submit button. I have a start for the code below. So upon leaving focus from the textarea, I can make the div tag disappear. I tried placing in a mouseclick event inside the blur function for the submit button but that did not work. Any suggestions? Thank you! **Facebook does this with it's comments.   • Static library not included in resulting LLVM executable

    Hi, I am trying to compile a c program using LLVM and I am having trouble getting some static libraries included. I have successfully compiled those static libraries using LLVM and, for example, libogg.a is present, as is ogg.l.bc. However, when I try to build the final program, it does not include the static ogg library.   • Cannot find maven dependency, mysterious jar files

    Hi, I am trying to build a simple war file which has a few jsps. However I am coming across an odd issue, for some reason during the packaging maven is pulling 4 jar files into the WEB-INF/lib. I have trimmed down all the fat from the pom file, and have grepped for any references to these jars without any success. I cannot figure out where maven is pulling them from. I tried 'mvn dependency:build-classpath' and the classpath is empty. Please help, these jars are corrupt and I cannot deploy this war file because of them. Thanks, natasha

  • what to do with compile fcgi executable

    I have fastcgi installed and running. I downloaded a developerkit from fastcgi.com. It had some examples in it. One of the example files echos some stuff. It required a .libs and a .deps I put those folders along with a echo.fcgi file and into the webroot/cgi-bin. If I got to the echo.fcgi url, it works great. I created a simple c file that prints hello world. I compile it using gcc -Wall -o main -lfcgi main.c What do I do with it now? Does it require something like a perl script or php script to be executed. Or, should I just be able to put it in the webroot/cgi-bin folder and go to it's url?

  • Shipping jar with default .properties file configurations

    Hello, I would like to include a default default.properties file in my .jar library. The idea is to allow the user to override my default is he so desires. I'm having trouble getting the classloader to play nicely with this setup, I've tried to look a at popular jars such as log4j, common-* and others and it seems that no one is implementing this idea. Am I going the wrong way? The second best thing is hard coding the values, and using the default if no .properties key has been found, but this sound oh so wrong. Suggestions?
