    My app allows the user to access their corporate voice mail. Normally, durring a phone call when the user holds the device up to their ear, the screen shuts off so they wont accidentally push buttons with their face. I would like to make my app do the same thing when the user is listening to their voice mail. anyone know how to do this?

    I'm gonna detect the resolution with the following code in WPF : double height = System.Windows.SystemParameters.PrimaryScreenHeight; double width = System.Windows.SystemParameters.PrimaryScreenWidth; Current resolution of my screen is 1920*1200, but height is 960.0 and width is 1536.0 !!! But I can't find a way to restore all windows within my previously detached session. I can see that I can restore just one of them by ID. But how can I reattach exact the same session environment with all the windows in it?

    Is there a way to capture the screen but without the app itself getting shown. I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second).   • How to record tv to network share with Windows Media Center?

    Well, you would think that Windows 7's new MediaCenter would be up to the task of recording your TV to a network share/drive. Too bad, it looks like it's just not possible. I have a windows 2008 R2 server, and a Windows 7 machine with a TV card. Since my server has 2TB of storage, it would be nice to record directly to it's networked drive. (I mounted it as Z:). I tried the following: Selecting it in Media Center Itself: Not working. Not available. Editing the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Recording , setting RecordPath to Z:\TV. Not working. Editing the registry: setting RecordPath to \\server\TV. Not working. Creating a Symlink (mklink \D) to Z:\TV and \\server\TV and setting that in the registry as RecordPath. Currently I am out of options. I could ofcourse Install Windows7 on my server, but I have no license for that, and my windows 2008 r2 is free from dreamspark. Are there people that are succesfully recording to a networked drive/storage? edit I also need to mention that I need to be able to acces the stored files from other PC's, like my laptop. So iSCSI is great for recording, but it looks like you can't access iSCSI devices from multiple PC's. Looks like sharing a iSCSI device is out of the question, so: Are there workarounds to get this thing recording to my network drive?

    I have been given the task at work of screen scraping one of our legacy web apps to extract certain data from the code. The data is formatted and "should" be displayed exactly the same every time. I am just not sure how to go about doing this. It's a full html file with header and footer navigations but in the middle of all this is the data I need.     I have created a game using Kinect + XNA and the game runs on full screen mode.. However when i try to touch or reach a certain area on the screen using hand.. I cant reach it.. I will already be outside the range of the sensor trying to touch the object on the game screen.. Is there anyway I can scale the skeletal values so that the users can easily touch objects on the screen without having to stretch or bend too much?

    Hello, I'm trying to do a screen capture with gtk-recordmydesktop and other capture tools but for some reason, it will not capture an output screen while its running. It captures one screen but doesn't show the rest. I can capture my screen running if I use my flip camcorder but recordmydesktop will not work. Is there a way to capture live video playing on the desktop without using an outside camera? Brian
