• Why is my Ubuntu system not using the correct kernel?

  We're having a bit of confusion on a Ubuntu remote system -- /boot/grub/menu.lst suggests the system should boot into kernel 2.6.35-30-generic, but it is actually running kernel 2.6.32-27-generic. Where should I look to start figuring out why this is happening and how to fix it?   I'm using the following tool to analyse how 'optimal' a site that I'm working on is for search engines: http://tools.seobook.com/general/spider-test/ I enter the URL for the site - http://ftmsuat.moneymate.com - into the search bar, and it returns a breakdown of the contents of the page. I'm a little confused by what I see though. According to the results, the page doesn't have a title, description or keywords. But if you check the source of the page, those elements are definitely there. So I'm wondering now, which is wrong? seobook.com or my page?

  I am building a slideshow and need to have a title appear for each picture that get cycled. I created alt attributes for them and am trying to have cycle display them for each image, but It only shows the first one. I am unsure how to get the code I have into the cycle "loop" for the gallery? • how do I take the URL and page title from a UITableView?

  Hi I have an iPhone app that shows the user a UIWebView in the first view, what I am trying to do is allow the user to save what is essentially favorites to be saved and then displayed in a table view in the second view. To do this all i need is the page URL and also the Page Title to be saved to then populate the table view. Now here is the problem I am just starting to learn how to make iPhone apps and I have no clue what would be the best way to save it and how to get this information from the web view?

• How to change the icon in the title bar in R?

  I just installed R 2.11.0-x64 onto my Windows 7 Professional machine. With my previous installations of R (2.10.1 32 bit was the most recent) the little icon that appeared in the title bar and in the taskbar at the bottom of windows was the R "R." Now however, the icon almost looks like a small windows Task Manager. I know this isn't a code issue, but it affects me as I flip between windows. Is there a way to put the "R" icon back in there? Would it be an R setting or a Windows setting?

  Prety long question; How can I do the following in C#: Open a webpage (Prefferably not visible) Check whether the page redirects to a different page (Site is down, 404, etc.) Check if the title is not equal to a said string Then seperately, (They need to click a confirm button) open their browser, and go to the adress of the first (It'll be the only one) hyperlink on the site. I literally have been looking on google for ages and haven't found anything similar to what I need. Whether you give me a link to a site with a tutorial on this area of programming or actual source code doesn't make a difference to me.

  Android applications can maintain their own internal preferences (and allow them to be modified by users) with very little coding. In fact, you don't even need to write an code to explicitly save these preferences, it's all handled automatically! Create a new Android project, with an intial activity title Main. Create two more activities: ShowPrefs, which extends Activity Set Prefs, which extends PreferenceActivity Add these two to your AndroidManifest.xml file: <activity android:name=".SetPrefs"></activity> <activity android:name=".ShowPrefs"></activity> Now we'll work on fleshing out each activity.   I have to average grades based on each objective for a new report card we have to complete this year. For example Column one has students names, each additional column will have the objective associated with the assignment. I would like to move the entire column to another sheet for each objective. Is there a formula or macro that will do that. For example objective 3.1A is in columns 2, 5, and 7, objective 3.2B is located in columns 1, 4, 10, and 12, objective 3.4c is in column 3, 6, 9, and 11. I would like to have a spreadsheet for each objective.

  I googled a lot, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for... I'm trying to improve the aspect of GNU Screen using the screenrc file, I tuned colors, status line, caption and the list of the loaded windows. The only thing I'm not able to achieve is getting the caption with the current executed command as in this picture, note the vim caption in the right pane. What I currently have is this, and what I would like to obtain is having captions (and if possible also hardstatus line) with |0 less| 1 man instead of the current |0 bash| 1 bash. How to do this? Ability to view comments on top of a notification If an action is performed on a notification such as Reassign, Request for Information or Provide Information, the recipient of the notification will see who performed the last action and the associated comment on top of the notification. Reassigning a request for information notification If an approver requests more information on a notification from it's submitter, the submitter now has two options Answer Request for More Information Transfer Request for More Information If the submitter thinks the requested information can be provided by another user, he/she can transfer the request to the other user. Please note that only Transfer is supported for Request for More Information. Once transferred, the submitter cannot access the notification and provide the requested information. Use actual sent date when reassigning a notification The Sent field in notification header always showed the date on which the notification was first created. If the notification was later reassigned, the Sent date was not updated to show the last action date. This caused problems in following scenario Approval notification was sent to JACK on 01-JAN-2012 JACK waited for 10 days before reassigning to JILL on 10-JAN-2012 JILL does not see the notification as sent on 10-JAN-2012, instead sees it as sent on 01-JAN-2012 Although the notification was originally created on 01-JAN-2012, it was sent to JILL only on 10-JAN-2012 The enhancement now shows the correct sent date in Worklist and Notification Details page. So, for example, under Recent Posts the sidebar would have "English" and then the latest 3 posts in English, then "Español" and the latest 3 in Spanish and then French. All in a list in the column and appearing on all pages with the sidebar in all languages. I am using the most current version of Wordpress with the WPML plugin. I believe the Wordpress widget for Recent Posts needs to be tweaked to do this. • jqGrid concatinating/building html tag incorrectly

  Please excuse to length of post. But I needed to explain what I am seeing. I have a onSelectRow option that is supposed to build stacked html <li> tags (such as <li>...</li> <li>...</li> <li>...</li> ) up to the number of static xml elements that I am looking at. But my script is concatinating all the image src links together instead of building the whole listobject tag. • How to get readable classname and title from HWND handle? in WinApi c++

  I am using the following enumchild proc to get hwnd of each window, the problem is that i am unable to somehow detect any info from each hwnd so i can do what i want with the ones that are detected as the ones i need. For example, how could i get window class name and the title of each window in the enum bellow? I tried something like.. • Can I automate a loop query based on category with the page's title?

  To explain further, I need to get a page to display posts from a specific category. I want to automate this process so I don't have to make a template for each category. How would I do that? (keep in mind the person I'm building this is for has no coding experience.) The only way I could think off from the top of my head is to use the title or slug. So if the category is named the same thing as the slug, could I filter by category using the slug? Maybe this isn't the best way... what should I do?   I know this is not a straight up question, so if you need me to provide more information about the scope of it, let me know. There are a bunch of questions that address almost the same issue (they are linked here), but never the exact same one with the same kind of scope and objective - at least as far as I know. Context: I have a MP3 file with ID3 tags for artist name and song title. I have two tables Artists and Songs The ID3 tags might be slightly off (e.g. Mikaell Jacksonne) I'm using ASP.NET + C# and a MSSQL database I need to synchronize the MP3s with the database. Meaning: The user launches a script The script browses through all the MP3s The script says "Is 'Mikaell Jacksonne' 'Michael Jackson' YES/NO" The user pick and we start over Examples of what the system could find: In the database... SONGS = {"This is a great song title", "This is a song title"} ARTISTS = {"Michael Jackson"} Outputs... "This is a grt song title" did you mean "This is a great song title" ? "This is song title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "This si a song title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "This si song a title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "Jackson, Michael" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? "JacksonMichael" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? "Michael Jacksno" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? etc. I read some documentation from this /how-do-you-implement-a-did-you-mean and this is not exactly what I need since I don't want to check an entire dictionary. I also can't really use a web service since it's depending a lot on what I already have in my database. If possible I'd also like to avoid dealing with distances and other complicated things. I could use the google api (or something similar) to do this, meaning that the script will try spell checking and test it with the database, but I feel there could be a better solution since my database might end up being really specific with weird songs and artists, making spell checking useless. I could also try something like what has been explained on this post, using Soundex for c#. Using a regular spell checker won't work because I won't be using words but names and 'titles'. So my question is: is there a relatively simple way of doing this, and if so, what is it? Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  I have an XSD which was transformed from a RELAX NG schema with a few errors I am trying to fix. The big issue I have it with the following <xs:element name="list"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:choice> <xs:sequence> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="preamble"/> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title"/> </xs:sequence> <xs:sequence> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title"/> <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="preamble"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:choice> <xs:group maxOccurs="unbounded" ref="block-selectionListItem"/> </xs:sequence> <xs:attributeGroup ref="attlist-selectionList"/> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> As you can see the xs:choice block allows you to pick between two xs:sequence blocks. Seems to make sense except that Visual Studio gives the following warning on the second <xs:element minOccurs="0" ref="title/> element which is throwing everything off: Multiple definition of element 'title' causes the content model to become ambiguous. A content model must be formed such that during validation of an element information item sequence, the particle contained directly, indirectly or implicitly therein with which to attempt to validate each item in the sequence in turn can be uniquely determined without examining the content or attributes of that item, and without any information about the items in the remainder of the sequence. Because you can only choose one I do not see how this is ambiguous. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Edit: To be a bit more concise here are the possible outputs of the XML that would validate with this schema: <list> <preamble>My Preamble</preamble> <title>My Title</title> </list> or: <list> <title>My Title</title> <preamble>My Preamble</preamble> </list> As you can see it can be either one way or the other but not both. Also you could just have a title or a preamble and not both.
