  • Writing a DTD: How to achieve this children setup

    - by Boldewyn
    The element tasklist may contain at most one title and at most one description, additionally any number (incl. 0) task elements in any order. The naive approach is not applicable, since the order should not matter: <!ELEMENT tasklist (title?, description?, task*) > Alternatively, I could explicitly name all possible options: (title, description?, task*) | (title, task+, description?, task*) | (task+, title, task*, description?, task*) | (description, title?, task*) | (description, task+, title?, task*) | (task+, description, task*, title?, task*) | (task*) but then it's quite easy to write a non-deterministic rule, and furthermore it looks like the direct path to darkest madness. Any ideas, how this could be done more elegantly? And no, an XSD or RelaxNG is no option. I need a plain, old DTD.

  • HTML converted to jQuery collection not searchable with selectors?

    - by jimp
    I am trying to dynamically load a page using $.get(), parse the return with var $content = $(data), and ultimately use selectors to find only certain parts of the document. Only I cannot figure out why the jQuery collection returned from $(data) does not find some very basic selectors. I set up a jsFiddle to illustrate the problem using a very small string of HTML. <html> <head> <title>See Our Events</title> </head> <body><div id="content">testing</div></body> </html> I want to find the <title> node. var html = "<html>\n"+ "<head>\n"+ " <title>See Our Events</title>\n"+ "</head>\n"+ "<body><div id=\"content\">testing</div></body>\n"+ "</html>"; var $content = $(html); console.log($content.find('title').length); // Logs 0. Why? If I wrap a <div> around the HTML, then the selector works. (But if you look at the jsFiddle, other variations of the selector still do not work!) var html = "<div><html>\n"+ "<head>\n"+ " <title>See Our Events</title>\n"+ "</head>\n"+ "<body><div id=\"content\">testing</div></body>\n"+ "</html></div>"; var $content = $(html); console.log($content.find('title').length); // Logs 1. Please look at the jsFiddle, too. It contains more examples than my code here to keep the post easier to read. Why does my otherwise very basic selector not return the title node?

  • Javascript / jQuery Exec turns up Null

    - by Matrym
    How do I skip over this next line if it turns out to be null? Currently, it (sometimes) "breaks" and prevents the script from continuing. var title = (/(.*?)<\/title/m).exec(response)[1]; $.get(url, function(response){ var title = (/<title>(.*?)<\/title>/m).exec(response)[1]; if (title == null || title == undefined){ return false; } var words = title.split(' '); $.each(words, function(index, value){ $link.highlight(value + " "); $link.highlight(" " + value); }); });

  • How do I return the value of the owner and id attributes respectively from an XML result set using P

    - by pharma_joe
    I am using PHP to iterate over the following result set, the aim is to build a hyperlink for each result using a foreach loop. I have stored the XML result in $images, and have constructed this loop: foreach ($images as $image) { //Build link to each photo returned //base URL $flickrPhotoUrl = 'http://www.flickr.com/photos/'; //Append user ID $flickrPhotoUrl .= ""; echo $flickrPhotoUrl; } Here is a sample result from Flickr: <photos page="1" pages="10982" perpage="10" total="109813"> <photo id="4616840471" owner="47823583@N03" secret="1b83173bc0" server="4013" farm="5" title="Strawberry Bears" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616612597" owner="12658756@N08" secret="f626214382" server="4059" farm="5" title="Yarn Chef Minestrone - Grickle Grass" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616469567" owner="26284268@N00" secret="6911a66838" server="4022" farm="5" title="P5130121.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617076736" owner="26284268@N00" secret="8b990acba4" server="4047" farm="5" title="P5130106.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616470013" owner="26284268@N00" secret="44600b3836" server="4036" farm="5" title="P5130125.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616466147" owner="26284268@N00" secret="554eab8667" server="4052" farm="5" title="P5130116.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617082398" owner="26284268@N00" secret="4a2b663442" server="3350" farm="4" title="P5130118.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617078272" owner="26284268@N00" secret="357737017b" server="4013" farm="5" title="P5130109.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617081446" owner="26284268@N00" secret="1f87726497" server="4048" farm="5" title="P5130117.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617077676" owner="26284268@N00" secret="77ca9f754a" server="3330" farm="4" title="P5130108.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo>

  • Javascript and jQuery (Fancybox) question

    - by songdogtech
    Javascript and jQuery (Fancybox) question I'm using the Javascript function below for Twitter sharing (as well as other services; the function code is simplified to just Twitter for this question) that grabs the to-be-shared page URL and title and it is invoked in the link with onclick. That results in the Twitter share page loading in a pop up browser window, i.e.<img src="/images/twitter_16.png" onclick="share.tw()" /> In order to be consistent with other design aspects of the site, what I'd like to be able to do is have the Twitter share page open not in a standard browser window but in a Fancybox (jQuery) window. Fancybox can load an external page in an iFrame when the img or href link contains a class (in this case class="iframe" ) in the link and in the document ready function in the header. Right now, of course, when I give the iframe class to the link that also has the onclick share.tw(), I get two popups: one browser window popup with the correct Twitter share page loaded, and a Fancybox jQuery popup that shows a site 404. How can I change the function to use Fancybox to present the Twitter share page? Is that a correct way to approach it? Or is there a better way, such as implementing the share function in jQuery, too? Thanks... Javascript share function: var share = { tw:function(title,url) { this.share('http://twitter.com/home?status=##URL##+##TITLE##',title,url); }, share:function(tpl,title,url) { if(!url) url = encodeURIComponent(window.location); if(!title) title = encodeURIComponent(document.title); tpl = tpl.replace("##URL##",url); tpl = tpl.replace("##TITLE##",title); window.open(tpl,"sharewindow"+tpl.substr(6,15),"width=640,height=480"); } }; It is invoked, i.e.: <img src="/images/twitter_16.png" onclick="share.tw()" /> Fancybox function, invoked by adding class="iframe" in the img or href link $(".iframe").fancybox({ 'width' : '100%', 'height' : '100%', 'autoScale' : false, 'transitionIn' : 'none', 'transitionOut' : 'none', 'type' : 'iframe' });

  • Update list dom only if list displayed

    - by Nikolaj Borisik
    Sometimes we use one store for few views(list, carousel,dataviews) and when we refresh(load, filter) store data, dom of all view that use this store will be rebuild, but some views is not displayed in this time, and may be will not show with these data. How we can refresh list dom only if it displayed, not every time when it store refresh? Issue examle Ext.define("Test.view.Main", { extend: 'Ext.tab.Panel', config: { tabBarPosition: 'bottom', items: [ ] }, constructor : function(){ this.callParent(arguments); var store = Ext.create('Ext.data.Store',{ data :[ {title : 'One'}, {title : 'Two'}, {title : 'Three'} ] }), firstList = Ext.create('Ext.List',{ title : 'tab1', store : store, itemTpl : '{title}', onItemDisclosure : function(){ store.add({title : 'Four'}); } }), secondList = Ext.create('Ext.List',{ title : 'tab2' , store : store, itemTpl : '{title}' }), thirdList = Ext.create('Ext.List',{ title : 'tab3', store : store, itemTpl : '{title}' }); this.add([ firstList, secondList, thirdList ]) ; } }); When tap on item in the first list, in store will be added new item. And dom of all list will be change although second and third list not displayed I see one option. Create one main store and create separate stores for each views. And when view show fill it store from Main store. But it look not good. Any other ideas?

  • Change clickable TextView's color on focus and click?

    - by Daniel Jonsson
    I have a clickable TextView that I want to give some colors to. But I don't know how. Here are the relevant code snippets from my two files that I'm working with: TextView title = new TextView(this); title.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams(LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT)); title.setTextColor(R.color.textcolor); title.setText(titleLine); title.setTypeface(null, Typeface.BOLD); title.setClickable(true); title.setId(idLine); title.setFocusable(true); title.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { /* Irrelevant code */ } }); And this is my textcolor.xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:state_pressed="true" android:color="#000000"/> <!-- pressed --> <item android:state_focused="true" android:color="#000000"/> <!-- focused --> <item android:color="#000000"/> <!-- default --> </selector> When I use the textcolor-file by typing title.setTextColor(R.color.textcolor);, the textcolor just becomes grey, regardless if I press it or so. Which is strange since I have written "#000000" in all color fields. But if I remove the setTextColor code, gets the textView a light grey color, and when I press it, it becomes black. But that aren't the colors that I want. So, can anyone help me with this problem? Just to clarify: I want to be able to specify the colors for the text when it's normal, pressed and focused.

  • Rails SQL injection?

    - by yuval
    In Rails, when I want to find by a user given value and avoid SQL injection (escape apostrophes and the like) I can do something like this: Post.all(:conditions => ['title = ?', params[:title]]) I know that an unsafe way of doing this (possible SQL injection) is this: Post.all(:conditions => "title = #{params[:title]}") My question is, does the following method prevent SQL injection or not? Post.all(:conditions => {:title => params[:title]})

  • In Rails, how to respect :scope when using validates_uniqueness_of in an embedded object form?

    - by mkirk
    I have a Book model, which has_many Chapters (which belong_to a Book). I want to ensure uniqueness of Chapter titles, but only within the scope of a single book. The catch is that the form for creating chapters is embedded in the Book model's form (The Book model accepts_nested_attributes_for :chapters). Within the Chapter model: validates_uniqueness_of( :chapter_title, :scope = :book_id, :case_sensitive = false, :message = "No book can have multiple chapters with the same title.") However, when I submit the Book creation form (which also includes multiple embedded Chapter forms), if the chapter title exists in another chapter for a different book, I fail the validation test. Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "Introduction"), Chapter.new(:title => "How to build things") => Book 1 successfully created Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "Introduction"), Chapter.new(:title => "Destroy things") => Book 2 fails to validate second_book = Book.create( :chapters => [ Chapter.new(:title => "A temporary Introduction title"), Chapter.new(:title => "Destroy things") => Book 2 succesfully created second_book.chapters[0].title= "Introduction" => success second_book.chapters.save => success second_book.save => success Can anyone shed some light on how to do this? Or why it's happening?

  • PHP W3 Validator API, Is this good? [closed]

    - by Josh Purcell
    I was trying to find a way to see if my site's code was valid or not but I continuously going over to W3 Validator so I decided to make an "API" however it really isn't! I just wanted to know if anybody can find a better solution to the one I have made. This is what I currently use, with the usage of ?uri=http://www.mydomain.com : <?php if(!$_GET['uri']) { echo "No URI!"; } else { $CheckURI = "http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=".$_GET['uri']; $URL = file_get_contents($CheckURI); $Start = strpos($URL, "<title>") + 7; $End = strpos($URL, "</title>"); $Title = substr($URL, $Start, $End-$Start); if(preg_match('[Invalid]',$Title)) { //Code is INVALID echo "<a href='$CheckURI' title='This is not good!' target='_BLANK'>INVALID Source</a>"; } elseif(preg_match('[Valid]',$Title)) { //Code is VALID echo "<a href='$CheckURI' title='Check It Yourself!' target='_BLANK'>Valid Source</a>"; } else { //It Went WRONG echo ""; } }

  • Help with URL Rewrite

    - by bodesam
    This is the first time i'm doing this and have been doing some research on it. I have a page that selects some info from a database and displays it with a link to a second page that uses the result to query the database, something like this: $sel=mysql_query("select id, title from thetable "); while($row=mysql_fetch_array($sel)) { $id=$row['id']; $title=$row['title']; echo "<a href='more.php?id=$id'>$title</a>"; } The issue is, in the more.php page, instead of more.php?id=5 to show in the address bar, I want something like more/title Secondly, as it obtains in most sites, I want the link on the referring page to show this friendly url on mouse hover not the more.php?id=5 And I notice in most sites some words like 'a', 'and', 'the' etc are usually removed from the url title(even if there originally), moreover how does one handle the situation where more than one record have the same title. How does one go about achieving this url rewrite with htaccess or whatever method is used. Thanks.
