• Multiple &(AND) fails in query

  here is my query $sql = 'SELECT * FROM Orders INNER JOIN [Order Details] ON Orders.OrderNumber = [Order Details].OrderNumber WHERE Orders.CartID =2 AND [Order Details].Option10 Is Null AND [Order Details].Status="Shipped"'; this queries when entered in MS_Access sql view, returns the correct results, but when I copy and paste the same query in my php script, it fails and gives the error Too few parameters, expected 1... although data is there, query is working in access... Please note if I omitted on AND condition, it works eg if I removed shipped conidtion or is null condition, it works then too.. any hint? whats wrong with it?? any help?thanks

  I am trying to do an Insert, Update and Delete on a table in MS Access. Everything works fine for a SELECT statement. But when doing the other three operations, I don't seem to get any errors, but the actions are not reflected on to the DB. Please help... A single category contains a list of expense transactions and every expense transaction should have a Category. In this post, we will be focusing on CRUD operations for the entity Category and will be working on the Expense entity with a View Model object in the later post. And the source code for this application will be refactored over time. The above entities are very simple POCO (Plain Old CLR Object) classes and the entity Category is decorated with validation attributes in the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations namespace. Now we want to use these entities for defining model objects for the Entity Framework 4. Using the Code First approach of Entity Framework, we can first define the entities by simply writing POCO classes without any coupling with any API or database library. This approach lets you focus on domain model which will enable Domain-Driven Development for applications. EF code first support is currently enabled with a separate API that is runs on top of the Entity Framework 4. EF Code First is reached CTP 5 when I am writing this article. Creating Context Class for Entity Framework We have created our domain model and let’s create a class in order to working with Entity Framework Code First. For this, you have to download EF Code First CTP 5 and add reference to the assembly EntitFramework.dll. You can also use NuGet to download add reference to EEF Code First. public class MyFinanceContext : DbContext {     public MyFinanceContext() : base("MyFinance") { }     public DbSet<Category> Categories { get; set; }     public DbSet<Expense> Expenses { get; set; }         }   The above class MyFinanceContext is derived from DbContext that can connect your model classes to a database. The MyFinanceContext class is mapping our Category and Expense class into database tables Categories and Expenses using DbSet<TEntity> where TEntity is any POCO class. When we are running the application at first time, it will automatically create the database. EF code-first look for a connection string in web.config or app.config that has the same name as the dbcontext class. If it is not find any connection string with the convention, it will automatically create database in local SQL Express database by default and the name of the database will be same name as the dbcontext class. You can also define the name of database in constructor of the the dbcontext class. Unlike NHibernate, we don’t have to use any XML based mapping files or Fluent interface for mapping between our model and database. The model classes of Code First are working on the basis of conventions and we can also use a fluent API to refine our model. The convention for primary key is ‘Id’ or ‘<class name>Id’.  If primary key properties are detected with type ‘int’, ‘long’ or ‘short’, they will automatically registered as identity columns in the database by default. Primary key detection is not case sensitive. We can define our model classes with validation attributes in the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations namespace and it automatically enforces validation rules when a model object is updated or saved. Generic Repository for EF Code First We have created model classes and dbcontext class. Now we have to create generic repository pattern for data persistence with EF code first. • A problem with the asp.net create user control

  Hi, I've customised the asp.net login control and it seems to create new accounts fine, but if I duplicate the user id thats already registered or enter an email thats already used, the error messages arn't displaying. Its driving me crazy. The page just refreshes without showing an error.   Hi! I want to create a custom tabcontrol class which has an icon before the text, and I want to be able to change the icon in the constructor of the new tabcontrol. I use implicit styles in Silverlight 4, and the custom tabcontrol should not have any xaml of its own, just the class and the implicit xaml style in my App.xaml. I cannot, however, get this to work.   We have 2 site that is linked by an IPSEC VPN to remote Cisco ASAs: Site 1 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco(1) 2841 Site 2 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco 2841 In addition: Site 1 has a 2nd WAN 3Mb bonded T1 Connection Cisco 5510 that connects to same LAN as Cisco(1) 2841. Basically, Remote Access (VPN) users connecting through Cisco ASA 5510 needs access to a service at the end of Site 2. This is due to the way the service is sold - Cisco 2841 routers are not under our management and it is setup to allow connection from local LAN VLAN 1 IP address 10.20.0.0/24. My idea is to have all traffic from Remote Users through Cisco ASA destined for Site 2 to go via the VPN between Site 1 and Site 2. The end result being all traffic that hits Site 2 has come via Site 1. I'm struggling to find a great deal of information on how this is setup. So, firstly, can anyone confirm that what I'm trying to achieve is possible? • Cannot access drive in Windows 7 after scandisk lockup, but can in safe mode....

  I ran scandisk on my external USB drive due to the inability to delete a few files. Windows asked me if I wanted to unmount the drive before the scan, warning me that it would be unusable until the scan was finished, and I said yes. During the scan, my machine locked up, and I was forced to reboot the machine. When it came up, I was unable to access the drive, getting an error that "L:is not accessible, access is denied". Comupter Management sees the drive, and has the proper amount of disk space filled. I booted into safe mode, and can access the drive with no problems, and I noticed that in explorer, all the folders have locks on them. I booted back into windows, but still could not access the drive, getting the same error as above. Hovever, if I right click on the drive, select properties, and go to Customize, in the folder pictures ares, I select Choose File, and a window open up, that shows the root of the directory, with all the folder able to be accessed, but again, the icon is the folder icon with a lock on it. I can even copy files from the drive to another. So, the files are not gone, windows can obviously access the drive no matter what it thinks, so there has to be a problem with the flag windows put on the drive when it ran the original scan that failed. I was able to run a scan both in safe mode with no problems, and in windows. In windows, I received the cannot access error the first time I run scan disk on it, but if I try again, it works fine. Any ideas on how to clear the flag that windows set, so I can access the drive normally again?

  By reading some tutorials online I used these commands: Make a local group: net localgroup CopsshUsers /ADD Deny access to this group at top level: cacls c:\ /c /e /t /d CopsshUsers Open access to the copSSH installation directory: cacls copssh-inst-dir /c /e /t /r CopsshUsers Add Copssh user to the group above: net localgroup CopsshUsers mysshuser /add simply put these commands will try to create a usergroup that has no permission on your computer and it only have access to the copSSH Installation directory. This is not true, since you cannot change the permission on your windows directory, the third command won't remove access to windows folder (it says access denied on his log). Somehow I achieved that by taking ownership of Windows folder and then i execute the third command so CopsshUsers has no permissions on windows folder from now on. Now i tried to SSH to the server and it simply can't login! this is kind of funny because with permission on windows directory you can login and without it you can't!! So if you CAN SSH to the server somehow you know that you have access to the windows directory! (Is this really true??) Simple task: Limiting ssh user account only to access his home directory on WINDOWS and nothing else! Guys please help!

  I'm trying to setup a VPN on my local network, but everyone who connects to me DOES have access to my laptop but not to the internet or other devices on the network. How can I properly configure my VPN on windows to work correctly (giving internet + access to all devices on my network to the remote pc)? Or is there software on windows which makes creating a VPN server easier? or maybe a VMWare image linux vpn server? I can't find any of those! My requirement is that my friends don't have to install additional software, they have to be able to connect with default windows stuff. My OS is Windows 8 Standart edition (not pro or enterprise) OEM. Most of my friends have also windows 8, some windows 7. Extra info: My device is DMZ'ed (Demilitarized Zone, [disabled NAT on my device so it's accessible on the WAN]) I can access files, websites and services on other devices on my network, and all devices can access file shares, website and all other services on my device When enabling VPN everything works except the client is unable to get internet access or access to any device on my network, client has only access to my device.

• What's the best way to create animations when doing Android development?

  I'm trying to create my first Android game and I'm currently trying to figure out (with someone that will do the drawings and another programmer) what the best way to create animation is. (Animations such as a character moving, etc.) At first, the designer said that she could draw objects/characters and animate them with flash so she didn't have to draw every single frame of an action. The other programmer and I don't know Flash too much so I suggested extracting all the images from the Flash animation and making them appear one after the other when the animation is to start. He said that would end up taking too much resource on the CPU and I tend to agree, but I don't really see how we're supposed to make smooth animations without it being too hard on the hardware and, if possible, not have the designer draw every single frame on Adobe Illustrator. Can an experienced Android game developper help me balance this out so we can move on to other parts of the game as I have no idea what the best way to create animations is.

The /etc/security/time.conf man page contains this example: All users except for root are denied access to console-login at all times: login ; tty* & !ttyp* ; !root ; !Al0000-2400 For this to work, /etc/pam.d/login needs to have a line account requisite pam_time.so This example works, and I tried to adapt it to limit HTTP access from the console. I added http ; tty* & !ttyp* ; !root ; !Al0000-2400 to /etc/security/time.conf, and created /etc/pam.d/http with account requisite pam_time.so This doesn't work. I can still use wget as non-root from the console.

When I do so, I can access the Windows share via Nautilus, but I can't figure out how to access the share from the command line without using smbclient. For example, the share isn't mounted under /mnt or /media. I also looked into ~/.gvfs but that's empty as well. Is it possible to access the mounted Windows share from the command line without using smbclient?

• HP 530 Wireless problem. Bad communication with access point

  I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on HP 530 and to make Wireless work installed STA driver from jockey (obviously proprietary) and, since it didn't work also installed their driver from HP website via ndiswrapper. After this (and a reboot) I see the WiFi indicator glowing, like it should be, and I am able to find local access points. But when I try to connect to mine personal one with WPA 2 security (with password) it hangs at authentification (I'm using wicd to manage wifi), and after a minute or so (I guess timeout of request happens) it says I have a wrong password (it is 100% correct). What might be the problem here? Yesterday I was able to connect to access point by changing type of encryption from passphrase to preshared key but didn't have internet access. Now, after reboot, I can't connect there again.

  Today I discovered that Firefox 8.0 on Ubuntu 11.10 wanted to have read access to /proc/[0-9]*/fd/. I have made a custom usr.bin.firefox apparmor profile so I have spent many hours testing, but Firefox never wanted to have read access to the /proc/[0-9]*/fd/ directory before, and now suddenly it want it every time I browser the web. The orginal apparmor Firefox profile or any af the abstractions do not allow read access to /proc/[0-9]*/fd/ so I do not understand why this is suddenly happening. Does it sound reasonable that Firefox want to read the /proc/[0-9]*/fd/ directory? or is my system defective?

• How can I access bitmaps created in another activity?

  I am currently loading my game bitmaps when the user presses 'start' in my animated splash screen activity (the first / launch activity) and the app progresses from my this activity to the main game activity, This is causing choppy animation in the splashscreen while it loads/creates the bitmaps for the new activity. I've been told that I should load all my bitmaps in one go at the very beginning. However, I can't work out how to do this - could anyone please point me in the right direction? I have 2 activities, a splash screen and the main game. Each consist of a class that extends activity and a class that extends SurfaceView (with an inner class for the rendering / logic updating). Would it be a good idea to create movieclips with plain lines drawn in them and then apply a glow filter to them? or perhaps just apply the glow filter to the entire movieclip layer the movieclips are on? or just draw them manually and create a glow effect by converting the lines to fills and then softening edges? Inkscape has had some initiative to make it SVGT-compliant, but not much seems to be happening there lately. • What program to use to create subtitles for a video?

  I have a video that I want to create subtitles for. Is there a program that can perform rudimentary speech-to-text in order to set the correct start/stop of each individual subtitle create rudimentary text subtitles (using some sort of speech-to-text) I know about gnome-subtitles. However, it requires extensive effort to create those subtitles manually. You need to select yourself the start and stop for each sentence. Youtube has the above features (creates rudimentary text subtitles at the correct timings, using speech-to-text). However I would rather not upload the videos to Youtube just to get my subtitles. Is it possible to do the subtitles efficiently in Ubuntu? Update: I plan to use the .srt subtitles only, and do not need to hard code them on the videos. My biggest requirement is to have the program automatically find the start/stop for each sentence, so that I write the text in it.
