  Hi , i am reading the excel sheet from c# by using interop services. My sheet have one of cell value as 0.00. but run time when i checking the value of that cell in c# code I am getting "1.845E-07" this value. When i check in excel sheet, on that cell right clicked , say format cell I got "1.845E-07" value in sample section. How to get exact value? But now the brackets with properties (id, class) in html elements also have blood color: (ironically the same color here in Stackoverflow).   Hello, I would like to control how linq querries my database programaticaly. For instance, I'd like to query the column X, column Y, or column Z, depending on some conditions. First of all, I've created an array of all the properties inside my class called myPropertyInfo. Type MyType = (typeOf(MyClass)); PropertyInfo[] myPropertyInfo = myType.GetProperties( BindingFlags.Public|BindingFlags.Instance); The myPropertyInfo array allows me to access each property details (Name, propertyType, etc) through the index*[i]* Now, how can I use the above information to control how linq queries my DB? Here's a sample of a querry I'd like to exploit. var myVar = from tp in db.MyClass select tp.{expression}; Expression using myPropertyInfo[i] to choose which property(column) to query. I'm not sure if that's the way of doing it, but if there's another way to do so, I'll be glad to learn. Thanks for helping.

  here is some sample javascript: SomeObjectType = function() { } SomeObjectType.prototype = { field1: null, field2: null } SomeOtherObject = function() { } SomeOtherObject.prototype = { doSomething: function(val) { /// <param name="val" type="SomeObjectType"></param> var val2 = new SomeObjectType(); //val2. shows intellisense correctly //val1. does NOT } } Shouldn't visual studio be giving me intellisence when i do "val." inside the "doSomething" function? I would expect it to give me field1 and field2 as options, but it doesn't. I DO get field1 and field2 if I type "val2." so intellisence works when I create a new object of the same type that I specify in the param comment. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or is this just not supported?

I'm new to rails but I've been searching for hours and can't seem to find anything to figure out the issue. • Running a loop (such as one for a mock webserver) within a thread

  I'm trying to run a mock webserver within a thread within a class. I've tried passing the class' @server property to the thread block but as soon as I try to do server.accept the thread stops. Is there some way to make this work? I want to basically be able to run a webserver off of this script while still taking user input via stdin.gets. The approach I am considering is for each string look at all other strings and find the common characters and where differing characters are, trying to find sets of strings that have the most in common, but I fear that this is not very efficient and may give false positives. Note that this is not the same as 'How do I detect groups of common strings in filenames' because that assumes that a string will always have a series of digits following it.   I have to find a diagonal difference in a matrix represented as 2d array and the function prototype is int diagonal_diff(int x[512][512]) I have to use a 2d array, and the data is 512x512. This is tested on a SPARC machine: my current timing is 6ms but I need to be under 2ms. Sample data: [3][4][5][9] [2][8][9][4] [6][9][7][3] [5][8][8][2] The difference is: |4-2| + |5-6| + |9-5| + |9-9| + |4-8| + |3-8| = 2 + 1 + 4 + 0 + 4 + 5 = 16 In order to do that, I use the following algorithm: int i,j,result=0; for(i=0; i<4; i++) for(j=0; j<4; j++) result+=abs(array[i][j]-[j][i]); return result; But this algorithm keeps accessing the column, row, column, row, etc which make inefficient use of cache. Is there a way to improve my function?

• Why hashCode() returns the same value for a object in all consecutive executions?

  Hi, I am trying some code around object equality in java. As I have read somewhere hashCode() is a number which is generated by applying the hash function. Hash Function can be different for each object but can also be same. At the object level, it returns the memory address of the object. Now, I have sample program, which I run 10 times, consecutively. Every time i run the program I get the same value as hash code. If hashCode() function returns the memory location for the object, how come the java(JVM) store the object at same memory address in the consecutive runs? Can you please give me some insight and your view over this issue?

  Hello SO! I am working on a small project and am playing with date() and mktime() in PHP. Compare the two code blocks and their output, notice the second sample adds one to the month in it's first mktime. $monthis = 5; echo date('F', mktime(0,0,0,$monthis,0,0)) . " 1, 2010 is on a " . date("l F", mktime(0, 0, 0, $monthis, 1, 2010)); puts out April 1, 2010 is on a Saturday May but if I change it to $monthis = 5; echo date('F', mktime(0,0,0,$monthis + 1,0,0)) . " 1, 2010 is on a " . date("l F", mktime(0, 0, 0, $monthis, 1, 2010)); puts out May 1, 2010 is on a Saturday May Why do I have to add one to the month in the first mktime so that both emit the same month?
