    I have some code which, like java, is stored in a binary format, and I have the applications to display and modify this code setup in the Subversion's config file. But when I run svn diff for these file, Subversion prevents me =================================================================== Cannot display: file marked as a binary type. svn:mime-type = application/octet-stream I can still view them, but only with the --force argument Since all the files in the repository are of this binary code, how can I permanently force subversion to open the files for diff or edit mode?

  • User sessions with jquery and Ajax

    I am using jquery to set a session, i have a php page which gets the values of the person logging. The value in the session array, is then used in another page where, it is stored in a hidden field for database entry.The problem is, the value is not set unless you refresh the page of which beats the purpose of AJAX and Jquery.Again,the session seems to be one session behind.How can I do this without page refresh/ reload?

One of the things I need on there is a procedure guide, which is basically a 150 page document, whereby each page is a separate procedure. Is there an efficient way within sharepoint that these procedures can be stored and searchable somehow, rather than dumping a 150 page document on there?

  • Execution Plan Optimization when where clause is removed then added back

    I have a stored procedure that uses a table valued function which executes in 9 seconds. If I alter the table valued function and remove the where clause, the stored procedure executes in 3 seconds. If I add the where clause back, the query still executes in 3 seconds. I took a look at the execution plans and it appears that after I remove the where clause, the execution plan includes parallelism and the scan count for 2 of my tables drops for 50000 and 65000 down to 5 and 3. After I add the where clause back, the optimized execution plan still runs unless I run DBCC FREEPROCCACHE. Questions 1. Why would SQL Server start using the optimized execution plan for both queries only when I first remove the where clause? Is there a way to force SQL Server to use this execution plan? Also, this is a paramaterized all-in-one query that uses the (Parameter is null or Parameter) in the where clause, which I believe is bad for performance.   • [Java] Send cookie with http request problem

    I'm trying to get a certain cookie in a java client by creating a series of Http requests. It looks like I'm getting a valid cookie from the server but when I'm sending out a request to the fnal url with the seemingly valid cookie I should get some lines of xml in the response but the response is blank because the cookie isw rong or is invalidated because a session has closed or an other problem which I can't figure out. The cookie handed out by the server expires at the end of the session. It seems to me the cookie is valid because when I do the same calls in firefox, a similar cookie with the same name and starting with the 3 first same letters and of the same length is stored in firefox, also expiring at the end of the session. If I then make a request to the final url with only this particular cookie stored in firefox (removed all other cookies), the xml is nicely rendered on the page. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong in this piece of code?     Hi, since in mysql datetime field is represented as string (i'm not sure how it works internally), wouldn't be from performance point of view faster to store date as unix timestamp? I don't need to use any mysql native date functions, i'm going for performance of sorting and selecting data. if there was an index for that column, would be difference between int and datetime?
