  • Is it more efficient (Performance) to store the CFC in application variables OR instance the CFC on the page call?

    Hello, I'm working on a ColdFusion dynamic website. For this website, there are a lot of CFCs and a lot of functions within each CFC. Would it be more efficient to store an instance of the CFC in an application variable, then to instance each CFC separately on each page load. For each page, at most 2 separate CFCs get called. I'm also interested in how performance will be effected when requests increase (Stress). Thanks!

    I have the code in one of my flex file used as labelFunction in a DataGrid. When I run the FlexPMD to do the code review , it generates objection about the dynamic type object used in method signature "public function getFormattedCreatedTime(item:Object, column:DataGridColumn):String", it suggests to use strongly type object.   • how to escape a string before insert or update in Ruby

    Hi guy, In ruby ActiveRecord doesn't provide dynamic binding for update and insert sqls, of course i can use raw sql, but that need maintain connection, so i want to know if there is simpler way to escape update or insert sql before executing like code below: ActiveRecord::Base.connection.insert(sql) i think i can write code by gsub, but i know if there has been a ready method to do it. thank you very much, and Merry Christmas for you all.

  • Vertical scrolling in silverlight

    I have a silverlight application that is set to use 100% browser height. As I dynamically add controls to a canvas (which can be dragged around), I would like the expand the canvas vertically. Ideally show the browser scrollbar so the user can move up or down, if that can't be done, use the scrollbar control. I would also need to handle the user changing the size of the browser.   • Clean Stack Traces in Groovy using Eclipse?

    I am using Groovy in a Java Swing application as part of my plan to force-feed myself dynamic languages until I like them (which is happening, partly). My stack traces are filled with Groovy stuff like org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.callsite.ConstructorSite$ConstructorSiteNoUnwrapNoCoerce.callConstructor is there a way to get Eclipse to remove all of that codehaus stuff (filter stack traces, basically)? Edit: I can do this from the command-line with grep (well, not yet) so it's not so bad, but inside of Eclipse would be great too.

    I am creating a web application using Form Authentication of Asp.Net with C# and back end Sql Server. Here in my application administrator login and creates new users. I am using the create user wizard under login controls. My problem is when the new user is created by Admin he is automatically logged out and logged in with new user credentials which he has just created. Any help would be highly appreciated.

    If I want to validate that a text box contains an integer greater than or equal to zero. Do I need to use TWO asp:CompareValidator controls: one with a DataTypeCheck operator and one with a GreaterThanEqual operator? Or is the datatype operator redundant? Can I just use a single validator with the GreaterThanEqual operator (and the type set to Integer)?

  • Attached property and style missing on re adding the user control

    Hey people I've got an issue with a WPF project I'm working on, I have an items control which I add to and remove from certain user controls, these contols styles and attached properties are there on first view but when I remove and add them again the user control apears on screen but is detached from the items control attached properties and styles.
