Html POST and return the same form with the values

Hi, I'm learning web development, and I don't know how do this simple thing. I've a html form with "text", "radio" and "checkbox" controls, that POST the values to the server and it saves them, for example in a file. I save the POST in raw format: key=value&key=value&key=value&key=value and I'd like that when the user open the form back, return the form with the saved values already in the controls. Is there any neat way to do this? Or should I parse the POST string and set the values one by one in the controls at the server level? I think, I could return the saved data in a hidden input control, and after with a javascript I could do a getElementById(key) and set the value to each input control... but do I need to put the post string in a special format? How would you do it? Thank you in advance.

Determine if a decimal can be stored as int32

I am doing some custom serializing, and in order to save some space, i want to serialize the decimals as int, if possible value wise. Performance is a concern, since i am dealing with a high volume of data. I'm looking to turn off try blocks for a specific JSP page (though turning it off globally would be OK as well). From what I've gathered, it looks something like this: <jsp-param> <param-name>noTryBlocks</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </jsp-param> However, everywhere I see that sample it's for a weblogic.xml file. Does anybody know how I can set this JSP parameters for a Spring MVC application? web.xml? How can I ignore properties of a component using Fluent Nhibernate's AutoPersistenceModel?

I am using Fluent NHibernate AutoMappings to map my entities, including a few component objects. One of the component objects includes a property like the following: public string Value { set _value = value; } This causes an NHibernate.PropertyNotFoundException: "Could not find a getter for property 'Value'..." I want to ignore this property. I tried creating an IAutoMappingOverride for the component class but I couldn't use AutoMapping<.IgnoreProperty(x = x.Value) for the same reason. "The property or indexer 'MyComponent.Value' cannot be used in this context because it lacks the get accessor" I've also looked at IComponentConvention but can't see anyway of altering the mappings with this convention. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

Linq query: append column to query results

I am trying to figure out how to append a column to Linq query results based on the max value of the query. Essentially, I want to create an EnumerableRowCollection of DataRows that would include a max value record with the same value for each record. Calling javascript function with arguments using JSNI

I'm trying to integrate Mixpanel with GWT, but I have problems calling an event with a property and one value. My function to track an simple event (without values): public native void trackEvent(String eventName)/*-{ $wnd.mixpanel.track(eventName); }-*/; It works. But when I want to add some properties and values, it doesn't work properly: public native void trackComplexEvent(String eventName, String property, String value)/*-{ $wnd.mixpanel.track(eventName, {property:value}); }-*/; I have 2 problems with this: 1) Mixpanel says the property name is: "property"(yes, the name of the variable that I'm passing, not the value). 2) Mixpanel says the value is:undefined An example from mixpanel web is: mixpanel.track("Video Play", {"age": 13, "gender": "male"}); So, I guess the problem is I'm doing a wrong call or with wrong type of arguments.

I have got a table which contains 5 column and query requirements: update row no 8 (or id=8) set its column 2, column 3's value from id 9th column 2, column 3 value. means all value of column 2, 3 should be shifted to column 2, 3 of upper row (start from row no 8) and value of last row's 2, 3 will be null For example, with just 3 rows, the first row is untouched, the second to N-1th rows are shifted once, and the Nth row has nulls. id math science sst hindi english 1 11 12 13 14 15 2 21 22 23 24 25 3 31 32 33 34 35 The result of query of id=2 should be: id math science sst hindi english 1 11 12 13 14 15 2 31 32 23 24 25 //value of 3rd row (col 2,3) shifted to row 2 3 null null 33 34 35 This process should run for all rows whose id 2 Please help me to create this update query I am using MS sqlserver 2005

I have a problem, I am trying to calculate what the lowest prime is of a number but I do not understand the result that PHP is giving me. If I have this number $number = 600851475143; Then I modulus it: $primes = array( 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97); foreach($primes as $key=>$value) { if($number % $value == 0 ) {echo $value; break; } } Why is it that $value = 3? If $value = 3, that means that 600851475143 / 3 should be an integer, but its not. So I do not understand why that if() evaluates to true?

how to copy char * into a string and vice-versa

If i pass a char * into a function. I want to then take that char * convert it to a std::string and once I get my result convert it back to char * from a std::string to show the result. I don't know how to do this for conversion ( I am not talking const char * but just char *) I am not sure how to manipulate the value of the pointer I send in. so steps i need to do take in a char * convert it into a string. take the result of that string and put it back in the form of a char * return the result such that the value should be available outside the function and not get destroyed. If possible can i see how it could be done via reference vs a pointer (whose address I pass in by value however I can still modify the value that pointer is pointing to. so even though the copy of the pointer address in the function gets destroyed i still see the changed value outside. thanks!

I have a semi xml formatted file that contains line with the following format: <param name="Distance" value="1000Km" /> The first char in the string is usually a TAB or spaces. I've been using the following to try to parse the two strings out (from name and value): if(sscanf(lineread, "\t<param name=\"%s\" value=\"%s\" />", name, value) == 1) { //do something } name and value are char* Now, the result is always the same: name gets parse (I need to remove the quotes) and name is always empty. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to load the maptype into the google.maps.MapTypeId which is frustrating. I am working on a loan amortization schedule using Access, I have created the following tables: tblMembers - autoMemberID|txtLN|txtFN|etc tblLoans - autoLoanID|numMemberID|etc tblSchedules -autoScheduleID|numLoanID|numPayment#|datDue|dblBegin|...|dblEnd tblPayments - autoPaymID|numLoanID|curAmtPaid|datPaidDate and forms: frmLoans - autoLoanID|etc sbfSchedules - numPaymID|datDue|dblBegin|...|dblEnd sbfPayments - dblAmount|datPaid I have been able to generate the schedule (using DAO recordset) clicking a btnRepaymentSchedule the challenge is when I click a btnAddPayment still on the sbfSchedules, I want the value of the dblEnd field to be the value of the next record dblBegin field! I have tried using dlookup(txtBeginBalance = Dlookup("EndBalance", _ "Schedules","[ScheduleID] = Form![Schedules]![ScheduleID]-1) but there is no effect but if I use txtBeginBalance = txtEndBalance the value of txtEndBalance is assigned to the value of txtBeginBalance of the same record (want next record). Secondly, how can I set focus to the next record if a contro(txtAmountPaid) is not null on clicking the btnAddPayment or assigning the value of a calculation when the control is 0 or null ? Thanks

I'm trying to ask the user for a value of some variable, but at the same time, showing him the last value used (at the termination of the program, the values are saved to a file, and loaded at the start of the program). Something like this: Enter new radius value (R=12.6) : ... user enters 12.7 ... Enter new pi value (pi=3.14) : Enter new height value (h=30.0) : Usually I would write the first one with write statement, then read the new one (in Fortran, for example). In MATLAB however, I don't know how to write something out with input statement. Are there some other statements for getting input ?

Are C++ Reads and Writes of an int atomic

I have two threads, one updating an int and one reading it. This value is a statistic where the order of the read and write is irrelevant. My question is, do I need to synchronize access to this multi-byte value anyway? Or, put another way, can part of the write be complete and get interrupted, and then the read happen. For example, think of value = ox0000FFFF increment value to 0x00010000 Is there a time where the value looks like 0x0001FFFF that I should be worried about? Certainly the larger the type, the more possible something like this is I've always synchronized these types of accesses, but was curious what the community thought.

Since i'm working with Titanium i realzed that its current JavaScript Interpreter doesn't accept specific coding-styles. So for for-loops and if-statements i have to have braces, even though i only want to span one line. Furthermore there is more i have to change if i want to use a Javascript Library like underscore.js. Why is JSON outputting out of order?

I'm am trying to get a list of weather information for 8 locations. I'm using a weather API that accepts longitude and latitude and spits back json output with the weather info for that location. I feed the coords in order 0-7 but when json processes the data it comes back in a seemingly random order. I assume it's because some process faster than others and json is outputing what it gets back as it gets it. This gets the value of whatever is selected in my dropdown menu. document.getElementById('newSkill').value I cannot however find out what property to go after for the text that's currently displayed by the drop down menu. I tried "text" then looked at W3Schools but that didn't have the answer, does anybody here know? Hi there, I am looking for an alternative to using an object/variable in global scope -- I would like to associate key/value pairs with specific DOM elements (eg, a DIV), so that I can use them as input for logic that processes other elements (eg, child elements of said DIV). I tried something naive like: $('[foo=bar]').key='value' , and $('[foo=bar]')[key]='value', but it puked. Doing something like: var foobar = $('[foo=bar]'); foobar.key = 'value' -- works, but the new property/value only affects the new object (ie, foobar, not $('[foo=bar]')) Most likely there's something terribly basic I am overlooking. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
